Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Menswear Toronto 1

The Toronto International Film Festival in Canada has provided a bevy of well-styled beauties. Now, for those guys, who also brought their A-game.

Benedict Cumberbatch: At the ’12 Years A Slave’ premiere at the Princess of Wales Theatre, the British actor was refined and relaxed in a light grey Dolce & Gabbana suit with a tie-less, white button-down shirt and reflective, black loafers. He worked this cool and clean-cut styling like a pro.

Hugh Jackman: The actor-stud glossed up the ‘Prisoners’ premiere at The Elgin in a shiny, dark Dolce & Gabbana suit paired over a midnight-navy shirt and black skinny tie. A bit of scruff added some rugged charm to all that fashion.

Brad Pitt: Like Benedict, Brad skipped the tie and unbuttoned his top collar, giving us some Gucci with this black notch-lapel, two-button ‘Brera’ black suit and white dress shirt at the ’12 Years A Slave’ premiere. His bad-boy ‘do of the day? A looped ponytail for those longish locks.

Daniel Radcliffe In Todd Snyder, Topman & David Hart - 'Killing Your Darlings' Venice Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Daniel Radcliffe is just one of the many stars attending Venice Film Festival this week promoting his latest movie, ‘Kill Your Darlings’.

Photocall: The British actor arrived at the Excelsior Hotel with director John Krokidas for the photocall sporting a high-low mix, wearing a semi-casual look which included a charcoal Todd Snyder blazer with a shirt and jeans by Topman and Nike sneakers.

Premiere: I was quite blown away by how smart he looked at the premiere wearing a two-button suit by his favourite tailor David Hart featuring a sharp blue blazer, black pants, a striped shirt and a black tie with George Cleverley monk-strap shoes. I love the mix of colours and how well fitted and impeccably tailored this suit is.

Menswear Round Up 1

Let’s hear it for the boys, who have been criss-crossing countries this week to hit up the red-carpet scenes in style.

Darren Criss: In head-to-toe Emporio Armani, the ‘Glee’ cutie joined Kristen Wiig at the  ‘Imogene’ Paris premiere, as part of the 2013 Champs Élysées Film Festival at Publicis Champs Élysées in France on Tuesday. Even with his scruff and unruly curls, he still managed to look polished in this pewter-gray suit, worn with a micro-stripe shirt and micro-dot tie.

Simon Baker: The Aussie actor took to the field at the ‘Prix de Diane Longines’ 2013 at Hippodrome de Chantilly on Sunday in Chantilly, France, adding modern appeal to his standard dark suit and tie with heavy-rimmed sunglasses and camel lace-up oxford shoes.

Jesse Metcalfe: The hunky star had a model moment in his Reiss suit, as he made the rounds at a party hosted by ‘Men’s Health’ x Liberty x Oliver Spencer during the London Collections: MEN SS14 at Liberty on Monday in London. The bold blue colour juxtaposed with the stark white, tieless shirt and contrasting printed pocket square are what make this look stand out.

Menswear Round up 5 June 2013

While the girls have been keeping up appearances at this week’s stylish soirees—from the CFDA Fashion Awards to Glamour Women of the Year Awards—a group of guys have also been holding their own on the red carpet.

Seth Rogen: This funny man wasn’t pulling any jokes with his fashion at the ‘This Is The End’ Los Angeles premiere at Regency Village Theatre on Monday. He stood out in a Calvin Klein light-blue, cotton wool two-button notch lapel suit, white dress shirt and blue striped tie from the Spring 2013 Calvin Klein Collection, designed by Italo Zucchelli. The ombre-effect frames of his glasses were his best accessory.

Israel Broussard: The up-and-coming actor made sure Emma Watson and his other pretty co-stars didn’t get all the attention at ‘The Bling Ring’ Los Angeles premiere on Tuesday at Directors Guild of America. He suited up in a Dior Homme navy wool two-button peak lapel suit, black cotton button-down shirt and black satin tie. The pants seemed a bit bunchy and baggy, but from the waist up, this was sleek enough, even with the quiff and all that hairspray.

Daniel Radcliffe: ‘Man of the Year’ winner at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2013 at London’s Berkeley Square Gardens on Tuesday, the actor dressed to impress in a Prada black, two-button mohair suit, paired with a white popeline shirt, a blue and black printed silk-twill tie and black brushed leather lace-up shoes. It’s hard to argue with this handsome ensemble—especially with that ‘Glamour-ous’ accessory.

Paul Rudd: Joining Seth at the ‘This Is The End’ Los Angeles premiere, Paul put on an Ermenegildo Zegna navy suit. Going for a relaxed, cool-kid look, he skipped the tie, unbuttoned his collar, and let his hair down.

Empire Awards Mens 1

The 2013 Jameson Empire Awards were held at Grosvenor House on Sunday in London. Many of the men teetered on the line between formal and casual in classic black and grey suits, while a select few chose to be a bit flashier with checked suits.

Jonathan Ross: The TV presenter known for his sharp suits kept things fairly casual on this occasion. He wore black jeans and a black shirt with a grey Thom Browne whale-patterned blazer.

Daniel Radcliffe: The young British actor didn’t just win the Empire Hero Award, but he did it looking incredibly smooth. Daniel showed at the Independent Spirit Awards that he knows exactly how his suit should fit, and this was another perfect example. He wore a Spencer Hart black suit with skinny lapels over a white shirt. My favourite part of it, besides the impeccable fit, was that he made it more casual by adding a black knit tie, as opposed to a more formal silk one.

Tom Hiddleston: Changing it up with patterns, Tom opted for an Emporio Armani blue check ‘David’ line suit and a pale-blue shirt. The blue colours of the suit, shirt and tie made for a great look on Tom, but I wish his pants were just a bit shorter.

Sam Claflin: For a head-turning look, Sam wore an Alexander McQueen charcoal-grey checked suit from the Spring 2013 collection. Everything fit well and the suit had a good pattern. He also accessorized with a white pocket square, a red tie, and a tie bar. My favourite part of his outfit, though, was those black leather double-monk-strap shoes.
