Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear red carpet 21 october

Here is a quick rundown of some of the gentlemen who took to the red carpet yesterday (October 20) evening.

Ryan Reynolds: The actor joined his wife, Blake Lively, on the red carpet for the Angel Ball in New York City. Like Blake, he also wore Gucci, donning a Made to Order peak-lapel two-button Marseille tuxedo with a black evening shirt, navy silk bowtie and black leather lace-up shoes.

Eddie Redmayne: Making it a Gucci double, the British actor joined co-star Felicity Jones on the red carpet for ‘The Theory of Everything’ New York premiere decked out in a dark-blue Gucci Fall 2014 velvet ‘Dylan’ suit. We love the actor for his dabbling in colourful suits, but he looks just as good when he takes a walk on the dark side.

Daniel Radcliffe In Dunhill – ‘Horns’ Paris Premiere

Daniel Radcliffe In Dunhill - 'Horns' Paris Premiere

Daniel Radcliffe attended the ‘Horns’ premiere held at Cinema Gaumont Marignan on Monday (September 16) in Paris, France.

The British actor always presents himself very well on the red carpet and this dove-grey Dunhill Made to Measure Belgravia suit is no exception; the sharply tailored suit is cut from a wool and cashmere-blend cloth with a fine Prince of Wales check for a dapper, refined look.

I love the contemporary feel of this slim-fit suit, which Daniel styled with a navy shirt and navy lace-up shoes.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Jessica Alba in Houghton & Osman, Chloe Grace Moretz In Simone Rocha, Damon Wayans Jr. In Dolce & Gabbana & Daniel Radcliffe In Raf Simons

BDOTW

Despite Nina Dobrev leading for most of the weekend, Jessica Alba was your eventual winner of best dressed this week for her Houghton & Osman combo styled with a Christian Louboutin bag and lust-worthy Kotur heels.

Although she didn’t rank highly for you, Chloe Grace Moretz in her Simone Rocha look was my favourite. It was nice to see something different from the young actress. The look was edgy without being try hard.

Damon Wayans Jr. won best-dressed male for his super-sleek three-piece Dolce & Gabbana suit. I went with Daniel Radcliffe’s tonal navy Raf Simons look.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of some of the gentlemen putting their best foot forward on the red carpet on Monday (August 4) evening. You’ll be sad, or more likely happy, to know there were no further sightings of white linen suits.

Richard Armitage: The actor never fails to grab your attention while taking to the red carpet, and that was definitely the case at the ‘Into The Storm’ New York City premiere while decked out in a notched-lapel blue Burberry suit. The sharpness of the look was enhanced with a blue and red striped satin tie.

Kellan Lutz: The actor was in London last night for ‘The Expendables 3′ world premiere. I think this might just be the first time I have loved his red carpet look. This Dior Homme charcoal wool two-button notch-lapel suit fits his toned physique to perfection. Styled with a white cotton small-collar shirt and a black silk tie with a ‘Feel Real’ red and white motif, he completed the look with black leather derbies, a huge statement ring and an equally impressive timepiece.

Daniel Radcliffe: The British actor attended the ‘What If’ New York premiere wearing a Raf Simons dark-blue suit with a darker Calvin Klein shirt. Ippolita cufflinks and Christian Louboutin lace-up leather shoes rounded out his look.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Men222

There were plenty of fellas taking to the red carpet last night (July 21). Here is a quick roundup.

Daniel Radcliffe: The British actor attended ‘The F Word’ premiere held at Scotiabank Theatre in Toronto, Canada. He looked as sharp as ever, donning a blue-black suit from Saint Laurent, keeping the mood fairly relaxed by opting to go sans tie. Christian Louboutin ‘Trepeter’ flats rounded out his sleek look.

Chris Pratt: Joining his lovely wife Anna Faris and Zoe Saldana at the ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ LA premiere, Chris showed off his new sculptured body wearing a SAND Copenhagen grey suit. Styled with a light-pink shirt, navy textured tie, polka-dot pocket square and Chopard Mille Miglia rose-gold timepiece, the actor has never looked better.

Chadwick Boseman: The handsome actor wore a Giorgio Armani Made to Measure dark cobalt blue and burgundy glen plaid two-button notch lapel suit with a pale lavender shirt, navy and burgundy neck tie and a burgundy pocket square to the premiere of ‘Get On Up’ in New York City. This look made me swoon; from the colour combo to the impeccably tailored fit.

Menswear Weekend Roundup

Menswear Weekend Roundup

The past few days were packed with a range of menswear looks, heavy on the formal tux angle with a few more colourful options thrown in for good measure. Here, a look at the weekend’s handsome set of guys.

Zachary Quinto: A presenter at the 68th annual Tony Awards, the actor dressed for the occasion in a Thom Sweeney three-piece, black wool tuxedo, paired with a white cotton dress shirt and black silk bow tie. David Yurman black onyx shirt studs pulled the look together with an added note of polish.

Djimon Hounsou: Bringing a breath of fresh blue to the red carpet of the ‘How To Train Your Dragon 2’ Los Angeles premiere, Djimon wore his beautifully hued Calvin Klein Collections suit with equally well-styled accessories, including an incredible pair of navy Christian Louboutin loafers, Martin Katz cufflinks, and a Montblanc timepiece.

Daniel Radcliffe
: In attendance at the Tony Awards supporting his play, ‘The Cripple of Inishmaan,’ Daniel was dapper in an Ermenegildo Zegna Made-to-Measure one-button, satin peak-lapel tuxedo in midnight navy—a great departure from the traditional black colour. A matching bow tie, white dress shirt, and KG Kurt Geiger ‘Anton’ shoes finished the look.

Ferragamo 3

Over the past few days, the guys have taken to the red carpet in a bevy of sartorial statements ranging from trendy to traditional.

Jared Leto: At the “Dallas Buyers Club” Los Angeles premiere yesterday at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the actor was feeling blue in his Alexander McQueen ensemble that featured a bright cerulean blazer, semi-sheer black top and black skinny pants with zipper detail styled with Bruno Magli boots. Long, messy ombre locks added to his dressed-up rocker vibe.

Josh Duhamel: Josh was looking as dapper as possible at yesterday’s Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts Inaugural Gala in Beverly Hills, California, where his black tux and tie was polished and professional.

Dev Patel: Eschewing the basic black tux, the Salvatore Ferragamo-clad actor accompanied his leading lady, Freida Pinto, at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts Inaugural Gala. He gets points in my book just for stepping outside the style box with his dynamic, burgundy-red suit.

Menswear Midweek RoundUp

Menswear Roundup 16 Oct

Here is a quick roundup of some of the fellas who took to the red carpet yesterday evening.

Daniel Radcliffe: The actor took home the Best Actor award at the Attitude Awards in recognition of his performance in ‘Kill Your Darlings’, looking very sharp and smart – as always – wearing a classic Dolce & Gabbana shawl-collar maroon and black tux with a pleated white shirt and bow tie.

James Franco: The actor wore a laidback Gucci Pre-Fall 2013 look featuring a black quilted leather jacket with a blue wool crewneck sweater, a grey dress shirt, blue denim jeans and black leather boots while making a guest appearance on ‘The Today Show’ and for his arrival at the Ed Sullivan Theatre for the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’. This might be the first time I have ever seen James not wearing a suit.

Oliver Cheshire: Channelling his inner Hugh Hefner, the model wore a Dolce & Gabbana suit featuring a rich-burgundy velvet jacket, a polka-dotted scarf and a smart bow tie. The model fared much better in the style stakes than his girlfriend Pixie Lott. I’m still trying to figure out what is going on there.

Josh Brolin: Menswear is having a Dolce & Gabbana appreciation moment at present; Josh also wore a Dolce & Gabbana suit to the ‘Labor Day’ London Film Festival premiere alongside a radiant Kate Winslet on Monday night. Instead of classic black, he went for a sleek grey suit with a modern sheen styled with a white dress shirt and dark-grey tie to complete his impossibly handsome look.

From this bunch I love Oliver’s Christmas-is-around-the-corner velvet blazer and Josh’s sharply tailored suit and rugged good looks.
