Dakota Fanning In Rodarte – 2013 Met Gala

A very grown-up looking Dakota Fanning attended the Met Gala as a guest of Rodarte.

The actress looked beautiful in the sheer-paneled geometric gown, and by simply modifying the look to have a slightly higher v-neckline, she actually looks far more ladylike and graceful in the gown than the runway model.

She’s following the sideswept hair trend of the night, which, along with her black nails, is her nod to punk.

I think this is subtle and beautiful, and a total win. Do you like the look, or do you wish she’d taken a bigger risk?

Dakota Fanning In Louis Vuitton & Miu Miu – ‘Very Good Girls’ Sundance Film Festival Premiere

Dakota Fanning is the latest star to take to the red carpet at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, for the premiere of her new flick ‘Very Good Girls’, held at Eccles Center Theatre in Park City, Utah.

Like many stars, Dakota couldn’t wait until next fall to get her hands on the recently presented Pre-Fall 2013 collections.

On this occasion, she was decked out in Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu, sporting a knitted navy sleeveless Miu Miu crop top with a Louis Vuitton mini skirt with embellished embroidered details.

The tights were to be expected, but then so was a long-sleeved sweater.

As always with Dakota, it’s groundhog day; the only thing here which is out of the ordinary is the dark-red lip colour.

Alaia ankle boots completed her look.

Elle Fanning In Opening Ceremony & Dakota Fanning In Nina Ricci – 2013 J.Estina SS Presentation

Elle and Dakota Fanning attended a promotional event for the 2013 J.Estina SS presentation at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul, South Korea earlier today.

It’s rare for us to see the sisters on the red carpet together, so I had no idea that Elle towered over her older sister Dakota, who has reverted back to her natural blonde hue.

Dressed in cute mini dresses, Elle wore a pretty floral Opening Ceremony Resort 2013 frock with a stand-out blue python embellished clutch and a nude pair of Miu Miu platform bow-front peep-toes.

Elle’s choice of footwear could which could explain why she’s that much taller than Dakota as she wore metallic silver Miu Miu loafers with her ethereal white lace Nina Ricci Resort 2011 sleeveless dress.

Like Elle, Dakota carried a contrasting clutch which stood out against her simple look.

Both look cute, fresh and youthful, but I’m captivated by that gorgeous floral print on Elle’s dress and her soft subtle wavy tresses.

Dakota Fanning In Valentino – ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2′ New York Premiere

Dakota Fanning joined Ashley Greene on the red carpet last night for the New York screening of ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2’.

The actress wore a Valentino Spring 2012 midnight-blue gown with an A-line silhouette.

Her gown with a camisole-style bodice featuring open lattice details throughout was styled with a transparent Valentino minaudière with stud hardware and a gold Graziela ring.

I only like this look from the neck down.

Her makeup is too heavy and her just-got-out-of-bed hair doesn’t work for me either.

Dakota Fanning In Jason Wu – 2012 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards

After wowing us on the red carpet at the ‘Twilight’ LA premiere on Monday night, Dakota Fanning was in New York City yesterday evening for the 2012 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards, held at Center 548.

On this occasion she wore a look from the Jason Wu Spring 2013 collection.

Her strapless pink lace dress with a peplum waist was styled with a studded black leather belt from the same collection, black Prada pumps and a Jason Wu star-embellished ‘Karlie’ box clutch.

Dakota styled her newly-dyed brunette tresses in a low ponytail, with a few tendrils framing her face.

Two nights, two colourful looks and two different hairstyles, Dakota is really stepping out of her comfort zone these days.

Dakota Fanning In Elie Saab Couture – ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2′ LA Premiere

I did not see this coming.

I was in shock when I saw Dakota Fanning on the red carpet for ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2′ premiere, held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California on Monday evening.

The shock was two-fold. Firstly, the hair colour. What a transformation.

We beg her every time she steps out to do something different with her never-changing hairstyle, so she went one better by changing the hair colour.

Secondly, she wearing colour… yay.

Her Elie Saab Fall 2012 Couture teal gown is most definitely not in the nude, blush, beige, cream family she usually favours.

Dakota’s draped gown, with a slit plus lace embroidery on the side, is accented with a teal leather belt and styled with a gold clutch.

Rings by Graziela, J/Hadley and Rona Pfeiffer, plus a rouge lip colour, completed the look.

Do you like Dakota’s new look or was it too much change in one go?

I have to say I love it. The element of surprise has me bowled over with glee.
