Dakota Fanning In J. Mendel – ‘Please Stand By’ Rome Film Fest Premiere

Dakota Fanning gave us her third look of the 12th Rome Film Fest this evening for the ‘Please Stand By’ premiere in Italy.

After going glam last night, it was back to simple elegance for Dakota in J. Mendel.

Fairy-tale gowns are the Fannings signature, yet this Spring 2018 gown demonstrates a more modern, grownup interpretation which feels so very effortless and ultra feminine.

I love how the gown flows from the nipped-in waist into a fluttering skirt that swirls with every step and how she opted for natural makeup and diamond jewels to complete the look.

Some might object to the ponytail, but for me it gives the look a fresh feel.

Dakota Fanning In Dolce & Gabbana & No. 21 – Telethon Gala & ‘Please Stand By’ Rome Film Fest Photocall

Dakota Fanning is currently in Italy serving up two amazing looks during the 12th Rome Film Fest for us.

Telethon Gala: I was quite surprised by this blue Dolce & Gabbana high-shine chainmail dress as it feels very dynamic for the usually reserved star. A part of me wishes this was floor-length, however, I do believe the length kept the look relaxed and youthful for Dakota, allowing her to present her brand of glamour with metallic accessories including Giuseppe Zanotti sandals rounding out the look.

Dakota Fanning In Dolce & Gabbana – 5th Annual Save The Children Illumination Gala

Daktoa Fanning joined Jennifer Garner, Olivia Wilde and Leona Lewis for the 5th Annual Save The Children Illumination Gala on Wednesday (October 18) in New York City.

Dolce & Gabbana knows how to flatter the feminine figure, as proven here with this alluringly beautiful dress.

Infusing this sophisticated style with a dose of fun, the dress sports a love heart ‘Per D&G sempre’ paw print patch at the waist, referencing the designers’ beloved pets to embody the design duo’s playful side.

Through Her Lens: The Tribeca Chanel Women’s Filmmaker Program Luncheon

The Through Her Lens: The Tribeca Chanel Women’s Filmmaker Program Luncheon was hosted on Tuesday (October 17) in New York City, with a number of Chanel-clad darlings in attendance.

Olivia Wilde: I liked where Olivia was going with the classic tweed skirt juxtaposed with the edgier spirit of the casual-mod cropped tee. It was the ill-fitting tweed jacket that I couldn’t get on board with in this look.

Dakota Fanning: Imbued with girly charm, this little frock balanced sweetness and sophistication.

Rachel Weisz: Elements of fringe and tassels offered an added moment of flair to this tweed look. Were you wishing for a contrasting shoe that was set apart from her tights?

Front Row @ Miu Miu Spring 2018

Miu Miu-dressed darlings were out in force to celebrate the Miu Miu Spring 2018 collection on the final day of Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday (October 3).

Elle Fanning: From the bodice to the crotch, everything seemed to droop just a tad low on this jumpsuit, but I still loved the punchy glamour Elle brought to the look with her crimson lip along with the multi-colour confetti of embellishment on her sandals and earrings.

Naomie Harris: This cropped two-piece look was all about youthful femininity, with Naomie’s beautiful locks echoing the fun spirit. I love how the felt skirt glinted with just the hint of embellishment while the matching buckle clutch and sandals rounded out the look with a bolder finish.

Dakota Fanning: While we know the perils of taking a seat in a satiny fabric such as this, the electric-blue hue quickly absolved the girly frock of its creases. Embellished platforms made it all the more a signature Miu Miu look.

Most Underrated 2015 – Dakota Johnson

Most Underrated 2015 – Dakota Johnson2

Dakota Johnson skyrocketed onto the scene thanks to her role in the hotly anticipated, boundaries-pushing ‘50 Shades of Grey’ film.

Early on, the starlet’s style captured my attention. While some perhaps found her monochromatic palette during the ‘Grey’ promo tour rather uninspiring, I couldn’t have been more intrigued by the striking, minimalistic appeal that always bloomed with a touch of the romantic.

The chic streak continued after her movie duties, and she duly coloured outside the lines, pushing her once-black-and-white ensembles into even more vibrant territory.

She’s worn a veritable alphabet of designers—Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Chanel, Christian Dior, all the way to Gucci, Michael Kors, Saint Laurent, and more—and she’s donned everything from elegant long gowns, glitzy disco-ball frocks, and a notable goldenrod, bow-accented dress that only she could wear with such panache.

While some may have only seen a gray area with Dakota’s style, she was the dark horse of the red carpet, quietly captivating in an eclectic mashup of looks that proved she’s no one-trick pony.
