Disney’s D23 EXPO 2017 Red Carpet Roundup

Many more Disney darlings joined the likes of Anika Noni Rose, Mandy Moore and Kristen Bell for Disney’s D23 EXPO 2017 in Anaheim, California on Friday (July 14) and Saturday (July 15).

Emily Blunt: With fresh, platinum waves, the actress kept it feminine and fun in this rose-printed Dolce & Gabbana frock emboldened by the intensity of her bold lip and red-satin sandals.

Daisy Ridley: We’ve seen a number of girly frocks at the D23 EXPO thus far, so I was delighted by Daisy’s slight twist on traditional femininity in this Lela Rose ensemble. I love the mod romance of the, off-the-shoulder, bell-sleeve topped paired with the cropped trousers and quirky Pierre Hardy eye-accented shoes.

Karen Gillan: A dazzling example of a successful Miu Miu moment, this sequined peacock slip dress was just embellished enough—but far and away from overcooked territory. The metallic shoes were a great match, but I would have loved to see Karen’s locks treated as more than afterthought.

Daisy Ridley In Oscar de la Renta – 2017 Met Gala

Daisy Ridley enjoyed her walk down the blue carpet of the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1) as a first timer at the annual affair.

The ‘Star Wars’ actress wore a custom Oscar de la Renta gown featuring a tiered, high/low hemline with Nirav Modi jewels and ankle-strap pumps.

I love how both perfectly elegant and perfectly modern this gown is, and Daisy is the perfect person to bring it to life. It is definitely a very light take on the night’s theme, but it’s fresh and fun, and I love it.

Perhaps my favorite part about this look is that Daisy is hardly recognizable for me. I love it when stars embrace makeup for how truly transformative it can be, and that’s exactly with Daisy and her makeup artist did. That modern cat eye and the ultra sleek (and Asian-inspired) updo really change up her typical look, and it’s a lovely beauty pairing for the gown.

Daisy Ridley In Stella McCartney – Star Wars: The Last Jedi Panel at the 2017 Star Wars Celebration

Daisy Ridley was at the panel for ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ at the 2017 Star Wars Celebration on Friday (April 14) in Orlando, Florida.

With a bold nod to colour, the British actress stunned in a Stella McCartney look that was positively radiant in its fiery combination of hot crimson and orange.

With the relaxed drape of the top and its robe-like sleeves in combination with the tonal, waist-cinching sash detail, she was like the most fashionable—and vibrant—Jedi ever.

The styling only elevated the look further, with Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle Follies’ pumps and a matching lip playing into the colour scheme and subtle Jennifer Meyer jewels adding a subtle finish.

Best Newcomer 2015 - Daisy Ridley

You don’t have to be a Jedi super-fan to appreciate the charm of Daisy Ridley, who appears in the highly anticipated ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens.’

New to the scene, the British starlet has immediately channeled the force of fashion with an impressive lineup of looks for the film’s promo tour. She’s already snagged Best Dressed of the Week for the light-as-air whimsicality of her Chloe sheer white polka-dot dress.

And, although she’s a newcomer, she’s none to shy to step out in a variety of styles, moving deftly from ethereal confections to a Christian Dior checquered pant suit and a vintage-inspired, girly Chanel frock.

Staking her red-carpet claim with fun, youthful sophistication, she’s a force to be reckoned with.

Daisy Ridley In Roland Mouret – ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ London Premiere

Daisy Ridley In Roland Mouret - 'Star Wars The Force Awakens' London Premiere

Daisy Ridley attended the premiere of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ at Leicester Square on Wednesday (December 16) in London, England.

Continuing to show her chic versatility, the starlet donned a bespoke Roland Mouret asymmetrical, embellished gown that was strikingly architectural in nature, as we’d expect from the designer.

I love how she echoed the cosmic theme of the film in the utmost of style-forward sophistication, with the starry, sparkling cutout bodice delivering plenty of cosmic impact.

Even her sculptural updo is exactly how the updated Princess Leia buns should look.
