Daisy Lowe In Louis Vuitton - Benefit Cosmetics Store Launch

After her disastrous look at the GQ Awards, Daisy Lowe was back to her best at the launch of Benefit Cosmetics’ new Carnaby Street boutique in London yesterday evening.

Looking sexy without a hint of trashy, the model wore a Louis Vuitton Fall 2013 grey striped spaghetti-strap dress with a lace trim around the neckline and degrade sequins at the hem.

Accessorizing with LV items, she selected the popular ‘Dramatic’ sandals in pink and the ‘Bijou’ minaudière which continues to be a celeb favourite.

Daisy Lowe In Saint Laurent - GQ Men of the Year Awards

Daisy Lowe took to the red carpet this evening for the GQ Men of the Year Awards held at The Royal Opera House in London.

I have always been a huge fan of the model, who hasn’t conformed to the size 0 model standard, but I kinda find myself looking at her in this Saint Laurent chiffon gown and having one word for her: “NO”.

No, I don’t want to see your underwear, which is on display thanks to that thigh-high slit.

No, this is not sexy. Quite the opposite. Trashy springs to mind.

Her Le Smoking black gown with a plunging neckline and satin lapels was full of gothic elegance when Miriam Yeung wore it earlier this year, but Daisy takes it to a town far beyond Tackyville, USA.

It’s a sad day when one girl can’t turn to the other and say “Love, your knickers are showing”.

Who Wore Dolce & Gabbana Better Kristin Davis or Daisy Lowe

Working a familiar silhouette, Kristin Davis wore a Dolce & Gabbana fit-and-flare brown-yellow-and-teal striped frock from the Spring 2013 collection, which she styled with a delightful pair of yellow pumps to the P.S. ARTS Bag Lunch back in May.

A few months later, Daisy Lowe wore the same frock to the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup final, adding a playful pair of Charlotte Olympia ‘Miranda’ wedges from the ‘Lovely Bubbly’ collection.

While there isn’t much separating these beautiful brunettes, my vote goes to Daisy as she’s so effervescent, plus the additional pop of colour coming via her red nail polish helps her clinch this win.

Daisy Lowe In Dolce & Gabbana - Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup Final

Daisy Lowe attended the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup final at Cowdray Park Polo Club in Midhurst, England on Sunday.

The model co-ordinated her Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2013 multi-coloured striped dress perfectly with the background without fading into it.

Her 50s-inspired frock was styled with a yellow bracelet, a red manicure and Charlotte Olympia ‘Miranda’ wedges from the ‘Lovely Bubbly’ collection, which was designed to celebrate the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup.

What is so special about them? The white wedges feature gold embroidery and additional sequin detailing to mimic a glittering spray of champagne bubbles.

You may remember that Kirstin Davis first wore this dress back in May.

The Charlotte Olympia ‘Lovely Bubbly’ collection is sold exclusively at Harrods.com. As you would expect, each piece is as gorgeous and delightfully whimsical as the next.

Anna Dello Russo

Leave it to drama kings Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana to top off the recent haute couture shows with an elaborate flourish. The design duo orchestrated ‘Ballo in Maschera,’ an extravagant Venetian masquerade ball held in the halls of the historic Palazzo Pisani Moretta along the Grand Canal last Saturday. A collection of brilliantly costumed guests, each having received a mask created by the designers, arrived by gondola or boat to celebrate the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda Fall Winter 2013/14 presented in Venice, Italy.

Anna Dello Russo: ‘Understated’ is not in this ‘Vogue’ Japan editor’s vocabulary, so it’s only natural that she put the costume in this costume party with a spirited ship fascinator atop her expansive wig. Flaunting a period costume with layers and layers of ruffles and piles of frou, ADR was definitely the fashion queen of the evening.
