2009 New York Variety Screening Series “A Single Man”, New York

I like the black pants Julianne Moore wore with her Balanciaga Fall 2009 blouse and lace bandeau, but I would’ve preferred the runway grey on her.

The grey is less heavy.

X-Factor Runners Up At Gatwick, London

X Factor runners up Stacey Soloman and Olly Murs made an appearance at Gatwick Airport today as part of the airport’s Christmas celebrations, which gave passengers the chance to sing to win at trip to see the Northern Lights – hopefully not on British Airways.

Stacey wore a bordeaux Temperley London Alexandria embellished silk tunic with cream peep-toes, which we recently saw on WAG Amanda Carrington.

12 mins 50 secs and counting.

“Did You Hear About The Morgans?” New York Premiere

Elisabeth Moss wore a Luella corseted jacquard mini dress from the Fall 2009 collection with black pumps.

Not my favourite look from her.

I really expected Sarah Jessica Parker to bring it at the New York preimere of her movie, but I was sadly disappointed.

At the London premiere she braved the elements wearing a L’Wren Scott mini dress, but on this occasion she kept it very simple with a chiffon dress with a leaf detail.

I don’t hate the look, but I just expected a bit more.

I do however love her Nicholas Kirkwood python cut-out platform heels.

I love this grey dress on Cynthia Nixon.

That draped detail is so subtly sexy.

Her silver peep-toes are a bit special too.

“Late Show With David Letterman”, New York

Woot woot. Not a corset in sight.

Leona Lewis appears to have weaned herself off wearing those darn corset belts.

I wonder how she’s holding up going cold turkey.

The vegan singer looks gorgeous wearing black jeans, a cropped jacket, a striped top, faux leather thigh-high boots whilst carrying a Stella McCartney chain-embellished faux leather bag.

Zoe Saldana wore a look by L’Agence which included a L’Agence Jersey scoop-neck top, white ultra skinny jeans and a grey blazer.

I love it when stars dress down and get it so right.

In “Sex And The City” there are 5 main characters – Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, Charlotte and of course New York City.

In both the show and the film the girls rarely leave their 5 character behind, but on Friday Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon were both spotted filming SATC2 in Morocco.

Miranda is the archetypal New Yorker were summers equals air conditioned offices, restaurants, department stores and apartments.

I can just imagine Miranda complaining how hot she is in Morocco, as she tries to prevent herself from burning wearing Factor 50 sunscreen.

Her look is very chic as she tried to keep cool wearing a white wide brimmed hat to keep the sun off her fair skin, paired with a white blazer, a white bag and a white Hermes Spring 2009 halter neck pleated dress.

SJP as Carrie looked adorable as always sporting a Christian Dior J’Adore black tee, a typically Carrie voluminous skirt and of course she completes the look with Manolo Blanik lezzie heels.

The criss cross sandals have a perforated detail all over them.

After Miley made me consider boycotting the movie with her guest appearance, I’m back on track.

“Sex and the City 2″ hits theaters May 28, 2010.

Sarah Jessica Parker is not the only one on the Sex And The City 2 set.

Cynthia Nixon arrived on set this week ready for her transformation.

We all know Cynthia isn’t the best dressed celebrity, but once Patricia Field got her out of her tan leather jacket, fuschia cowl neck top and white jeans, Cynthia reappeared as legal ‘hot shot’ Miranda Hobbs.

Cynthia looked sophisticated wearing a RM by Roland Mouret Bora crepe sleeveless dress, which was paired with hot pink Christian Louboutin Very Prive suede peep-toes and a matching pink Blackberry.

RM by Roland Mouret’s sophisticated modern ladylike dresses are the perfect choice for Cynthia’s strong conservative yet sexy character.

I just love the way this dress drapes.

You can buy Cynthia’s RM by Roland Mouret from Net-A-Porter US site for $1,580, or the Net-A-Porter International site for £940/€968.

“Late Show with David Letterman”, New York

Debra Messing is so beautiful with her flame hair and megawatt smile.

Her green dotted strapless Diane von Furstenberg dress was the perfect choice for her, unfortunately her bra lets her down, by peeking over her dress. She completed her look with gold heels.

She arrived wearing a bronze biker jacket, which she thankfully took off.

70th Anniversary of Bowlmor Lanes Hosted by Michael Phelps, New York

Yesterday I was talking about how the Obama’s and fashion go hand-in-hand, so Aubrey O’Day just goes and takes it to the next level with this ridiculous t-shirt, which of course she is wearing as a mini dress.

How old is Aubrey? I ask because it looks like she has grey roots.

Selita Ebanks still looks stunning despite wearing a charcoal grey turtleneck and brown leggings.

She completes her look with Christian Louboutin ankle booties.

“A Man For All Seasons” Broadway Opening Night – Curtain Call, New York

Since the Sex And The City movie, Cynthia Nixon has made more of an effort with what she wears. I think Francisco Costa has taken her under his wing, because she has been wearing a lot of Calvin Klein lately.

She arrived with her former co-star Chris Noth is wearing a Calvin Klein Resort 2009 ensemble, which consisted of a cream wrap cardigan and a satin crinkled skirt, which she wore with bronze shoes and a tweed coat.

Project A.L.S. 11th Annual “Tomorrow is Tonight” Benefit Gala, New York

Funny girl Sarah Silverman loves a bit of puff on her skirt, so it no wonder she wore this black strapless Betsey Johnson Spring 2008 belted dress, with a fuschia tulle underskirt.

Best Dressed Award
Best Dressed was a close call between Brooke Shields and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, but Brooke’s fuchsia Badgley Mischka Resort 2009 gown, with its ruffled asymmetric detail on the skirt, was beautiful and had a very romantic feel to it

She let her dress do all the talking, by keeping the accessories to a minimum.

This is not an easy dress to pull off, but Brooke did with such style and grace.

Most Sexy Award
Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Narciso Rodriguez gown was elegant, with an added wow factor. I fell in love the second I saw it.

The salmon coloured dress suits her complexion, and dress gives her a very sensual silhouette.

The beaded bodice, and the keyhole detail make this dress stand out.

Her diamonds were from Tiffany’s.

White Hot Award
Kyra Sedgwick wore a magnificent L’Wren Scott Spring 2009 white cocktail dress, which had crystals embroidered into the straps and bodice of this dress, for added va-va-voom.

Kyra usually always wears L’Wren Scott, as the dresses are figure-flattering, sleek and chic.

She accessorized with Fred Leighton jewels, and Jimmy Choo sandals.

Best Strapless Award
A high profile red carpet event, is not complete without an Elie Saab dress.

I loved the Elie Saab Fall 2008 Couture embroidered tulle dress Marcia Cross wore last night. The dress had a vintage feel to it, which played on her classic beauty.

She accessorized with Rene Caovilla heels and Hearts on Fire diamonds.

Best Brand Ambassador Award
Tamara Mellon the CEO of Jimmy Choo, and the person responsible for relaunching Halston, is wearing both design here.

Her cobalt blue asymmetric dress is from the Halston Spring 2009 collection, her canary yellow shoes, and zebra print clutch are of course Jimmy Choo.

Best Earrings Award
Christina Applegate’s looked quite regal, as her hair was swept back, allowing us to see her stunning jeweled earrings.

The actress wore baby blue asymmetric Reem Acra Spring 2009 gown, with a gold print, and a stunning train.

She accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz diamonds and Jimmy Choo heels.

Best Silhouette Award
I don’t think Christina Hendricks’ forest green gown was corseted, but she certainly has a stunning silhouette here.

I am so jealous.

Green is a great colour for her, and it’s a colour we have seen other red heads wear on the red carpet.

Best Yellow Award
Mariska Hargitay’s Carolina Herrera one-shoulder gown stood out the most on the red carpet.

The colour was bold, vibrant and refreshing on the red carpet.

She accessorized with Fred Leighton jewelry and Jimmy Choo heels.

Most Elegant Award
Olivia Wilde always manages to look so stunning on the red carpet, and does so again in her Reem Acra gown.

The dress is exquisite with its simple details, and subtle shade, that evokes the glamour of old Hollywood.

She accessorized with Jimmy Choo heels, Stuart Weitzman clutch and Kwiat jewels.

Most Improved Award
Wow, you could have knocked me down with a feather when I saw how stunning Nicollette Sheridan looked in her purple pleated Angel Sanchez Fall 2008 gown.

What a great event for her to turn down the tacky.

I would have loved this look more, if her hair was put up in an elegant updo.

Nice Dress, Shame About The Hair Award
I adore this turquoise Calvin Klein strapless gown on Cynthia Nixon. It makes her appear soft, and it brings out the colour of her eyes.

My only compliant was her hair. It has a very mumsy feel to it.

Best Elie Saab Award
Lost actress Evangeline Lilly, has been missing from the red carpet for a while, so I had forgotten how stunning she can look.

Last night she wore one of my favourite dresses from the Elie Saab Fall 2008 Couture collection.

The paillette covered dress caught every beam of light, making this dress come alive with every step, as she posed on the red carpet.

Best Couture Award
This Armani Prive dress which Heidi Klum wore may not be appreciated by some because of the cape, but I simply adore it.

I love how the cape and the skirt’s asymmetric detail flowed in the same direction, and the Swarovski crystals that sparkled, as she did in the dress.

Best Black Award
Black can be very boring on the red carpet, but Debra Messing’s dramatic Monique Lhuillier Spring 2009 strapless gown, was far from boring.

The dress had lots of layers of embroidered tulle, which grabbed my attention, and really made her dress, stand out from the other black dresses on the carpet.

She accessorized with Fred Leighton diamonds.

Best Embellishment Award
Kate Walsh’s Zuhair Murad mermaid gown was tiered with embellished details, and completed with a rose appliqué. The stunning dress gave her a delightful silhouette.

The red haired actress carried a Jimmy Choo Kase oval clutch and wore Neil Lane diamonds to complete her look.

Best Floral Trend Award
Vanessa Williams’ custom-made Kevan Hall gown was very much still on this summers floral trend.

The jeweled detail on the strap of her dress, compliments her diamond bracelet and 3-drop earrings.

Best Lace Trend
Like Vanessa, Sandra Oh managed to incorporate a trend into her look – lace.

Her black silk organza and tulle Oscar de la Renta Resort 2009 gown, had a lace bodice, and a sash at the waist.

Her hair was swept to the side with loose curls.

She accessorized with Bulgari jewels, a vintage Chanel purse, and Chanel heels.

Best Dress/Clutch Combo Award
Some people might think it lacks imagination for matching items that you are wearing, but Tina Fey does it so well by matching this rich egglant David Meister sweetheart necklined gown, to her jeweld clutch.

Best Marchesa Gown
Jennifer Morrison’s Marchesa Spring 2009 gown was beautiful, as it had a princess quality to it, with its rich champagne colour, beautiful draping an train.

The colour was exquisite on the actress, which she matched with peep-toes heels.

Best Cocktail Dress Award
There were a lot of gowns and dresses that fell just below the knee last night, but Padma Lakshmi opted for a gold embellished Monique Lhuillier Spring 2009 knee-lenght dress.

The stand out dress, had a cowl back, swirling gold beaded embroidery detail and a tulle hem.

The presenter kept the gold theme going, but wearing gold strappy sandals and a gold clutch.

Brightest Smile Award
Kristin Chenoweth had the biggest and brightest smile, as she walked the red carpet last night.

The multi-talented star wore a black Armani Prive gown, which had a cute bow detail on the front.

As she walked the red carpet, I marveled at how her dress managed to stayed up.

Greatest Gainer Award
I started off disliking Jenna Fischer’s Gustavo Cadile custom-made gown, but then it grew on me when I saw it on TV.

These pictures do not do the green chiffon strapless sweetheart neckline gown justice.

Best Halter Award
I was also undecided about Perrey Reeves in this Temperley London gown with intricate detailing on the bodice and neckline. But after seeing so much black and other dark colours, I realised that her cream gown was a welcome relief.

Best One-Shoulder Gown
Jane Krakowski’s one shouldered Versace Fall 2008 gown, was very interesting, as the detail on the shoulder consisted of folds, cut-outs and beaded embroidery.

Best Vintage Award
Rachel Griffiths wore a chocolate brown vintage Bob Mackie gown from Decades.

This gown has a bustier top, with a chiffon skirt, which has a thigh-high peek-a-boo split.

The actress completes her look with Christian Louboutin shoes, and and Alexander Knight clutch.

“Sex and the City: The Movie” DVD Launch, New York

Unfortunately Sarah Jessica Parker’s hair ruins this look for me. The front part with the bangs, looks like a hair piece which has been attached to her head, as it appears to be a different colour to her hair on the side.

I love the smoke print Alexander McQueen Resort 2009 sheath dress, and I am sure the Marlboro lights loving Carrie would approve, but the hair…noooo.

Cynthia Nixon was very neutral in an all beige look, consisting of a satin pleated Calvin Klein Resort 2009 dress, and matching square-toe heels.

For me Cynthia was the best dressed at this event, and that is not something I have ever said about her.

I love the velvet eggplant Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2008 suit and the chain-mail top, such a great look. But Kim Cattrall goes and ruins it by leaving her top open to expose her bra.

Yes she wanted to steal the attention away from SJP, but was this the right way to go about it?

I think not.

Dreamball 2008, Berlin

Eva Mendes’ flirty sequin dress was a dazzling choice, but I just wish it was more form-fitting.

“Battle in Seattle” Screening, New York

Charlize Theron turned up the heat in her red hot satin one-shoulder Christian Dior dress, which she matched with Christian Louboutin bow heels.

This is simply an elegant and stunning look for the actress. As we would expect.

Fashion Fringe Grand Final, London

Dita von Teese, who is doing that foot posing thingy she does so well, wore a black RM by Roland Mouret Pigalle stretch wool dress, which as I said earlier, is fast becoming the IT celebrity dress of the season.

She completed her head to to black look, with black square-toe Alexander McQueen heels and a black Christian Louboutin Minilou clutch.

The 100th Episode Of “Dog Whisperer”, LA

Jada Pinkett Smith wore a stunning turquoise Jasmine di Milo sheath dress, which interestingly wore with a red/black belt.

Jada choices are never predictable and never boring.

Yves Saint Laurent At Dover Street Market – Party, London

An angelic looking Naomi Campbell, here with designer Stefano Pilati, wore a YSL Fall 2008 taupe dress with a black asymmetric piece on her bubble skirt.

She completed her look with a YSL Y-Mail bag and black patent platform sandals.

You may recognise this dress, as both Sarah Jessica Parker and Julianne Moore have worn modifications of it.

Apart from Claudia Schiffer’s YSL Y-Mail evening clutch, nothing else appeals to me here.

The red top is too garish for her skin tone, the vintage chiffon blouse makes her look wider than she is, and the belt does not work with the top.

Stella McCartney’s Private Dinner, London

Maria Sharapova opted for a floaty white chiffon Stella McCartney Spring 2008 mini dress, with tan gladiator sandals, and a black zip clutch.

Camilla Belle is usually the bell of the ball, but I much prefer Maria dress.

Camilla’s blue Stella McCartney mini dress is worn with a taupe clutch and a black pair of pumps.

MTV TRL, New York

Vanessa Hudgens wears a stunning plaid Ports 1961 strapless dress, with a pair of black peep-toes shoes.

Cute and sexy all at the same time.

Admiral Codrington Pub, London

Kylie Minogue celebrated receiving her OBE from Prince Charles yesterday, with a few drinks at a pub in London.

The petite star wore a navy Lanvin Spring 2008 silk dress, with a studded black belt.

“Hellboy II: The Golden Army” Premiere, Mexico

Selma Blair opted for a black strapless silk Fendi Fall 2008 dress and black jeweled shoes.

“Hellboy II: The Golden Army” Photocall, Mexico

If I was Selma Blair, I would have worn this black shimmering dress for the premiere.

Launch Of Madison Square Garden’s New Series “NYC Sound Tracks”, New York

Singer Cassie wore her Givenchy Strappy Open Toe Ankle Booties, with a white Pencey cummerbund dress.

Tommy Hilfiger 10th Anniversary Party, Greece

Cynthia Nixon’s Tommy Hilfiger Fall 2008 ivory halter-neck dress is beautiful, but I really don’t like what she did with her hair.
