The Narciso Rodriguez Spring 2010 collection was a lot softer in comparison to his Fall 2009 urban warrior collection.

We saw optical prints, sleeveless tops, tulip shaped coats and cocktail dresses.

Many of the pieces had rounded hems which was an interesting twist. There was subtle layering and sleek silhouettes.

The colour palette consisted of mostly neutrals or black, with purple and silver included also.

My favourite pieces were the finale gowns which were very simple.

The tank-style gowns had a shorter hemline in front and a flowing back. When it caught the wind of the runway the dress billowed and moved so graciously.

Jessica Alba was the last celebrities to arrive at her seat and the photographers went wild.

How celebrities cope with those flash bulbs is beyond me.

She wore a bubble hemmed mini dress, with a black sequined top and a starry midnight sky skirt.

I’m not sure if they were expecting her to do something crazy but Courtney Love got the most flashbulbs.

Maybe the photographers just wanted to get a close up of the satin details on her Narciso Rodriguez black viscose dress.

Emmy Rossum looked really cute in her Fall 2009 halter dress, with an edgy army fatigue print on the bodice.

She was in the front row with her stylist and right in my eye line, so every now and then I would see her saying to her stylist “That’s cute”.

So we should expect to see Emmy wearing Narciso Rodriguez pieces in the future on the red carpet.

VH1 Save The Music Foundation, LA

Jordin Sparks was radiant wearing a BCBG Max Azria chiffon maxi dress, with a pleated bodice.

The maxi ombre dress has a very bohemian feel to it. I love the ocean feel of the sea green and blue colours.

This is a fabulous dress, I really love it.

Singer Sara Bareilles’ Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent print belted wrap dress was slightly less informal, but she still looks fantastic.

In the long shot, the dress looks to be covered in black polka dots, but in the close-up, you can see the fish-print.

Sara’s look was complete with strappy sandals.

The Opening Of Annenberg Space For Photography, LA

Courtney Love is rock chick chic personified, wearing a black studded Lanvin Fall 2007 dress.

Kate Mara’s pink Dior dress is incredibly cute and delicate, with it’s ruffled bodice, and embroidered skirt.

Nice look, shame about the heavy black clutch.

Rachel Zoe And Decadestwo Charity Benefit, LA

What a refreshing changed to see Nicole Richie in something that’s not a maxi dress, nor boho inspired.

Nicole wore a taffeta pleated black mini skirt, which was very poufy, and did a good job of hiding her baby bump.

A printed scarf, white sleeveless top and YSL Trib Two’s completed the look.

Rachel Zoe exits her car gracefully, wearing a black jumpsuit, and pair of those incredible Louis Vuitton Fall 2008 two-tone platforms.

The Stylista also carried a lust worthy Hermes Medor clutch, and wore a large gold and silver link necklace.

Perry Reeves’ emerald green mini Dior dress with a bow and pleated skirt detail, is complimented with a very large matching ring.

Figures Of Speech: Fundraising Gala, London

Each item in the House of Holland Fall 2009 collection was striped.

So it was easy for me to recognise both Pixie Geldof’s wooly mammoth coat and long sleeved dress.

Considering Pixie fancies herself as a ‘wild child’. I’m surprised she picked the safest colours.

Anna Friel should have really taken the subtle hint from her Viktor & Rolf Fall 2008 dress which was telling her. NO.

No this will not look good on you.

My other problem is that Anna should have really considered a bra, because the twins are not holding up too well, and they’re also smuggling raisins.

The black statement one-shouldered gown over a nude underlay, was embellished with staples.

On the plus side, her hair and make-up was really nice.

Courtney Love wore my favourite dress from the Givenchy Spring 2009 Couture show I attended a few weeks ago.

I am glad that someone with a bit of character and attitude wore this gown, because only someone like her or Madonna can pull this off.

The long draped black gown has a shrug with puff ball shoulders, which are embellished with flower petals, that work their way down the sleeves.

Freida Pinto wore a black Chanel Resort 2009 dress, with a floral embellished see-through yoke.

I am not a fan of sheer yoke’s, but I would have preferred it to this plastic yoke.

She completed the look with gorgeous black strappy heels, whilst styling her hair in a chic updo.

Unfortunately, I don’t like this look. Maybe the runway belt would have helped, but I think I’m just clutching at straws.

My ray of shining light Thandie Newton didn’tt let me down. The British actress made a welcome return to the red carpet.

Last night she wore a multi-coloured Jonathan Saunders Spring 2009 floaty dress with a layered skirt.

She wore her dress with gold strappy sandals, and added a touch of crimson to her lips.

As much as I love Thandie, she has made 4 recent red carpet appearances, but her hairstyle has remained the same. Maybe she is having a bad hair week, but she needs to switch it up for next time.

Alexa Chung opted to wear a navy dress, which is very similar to the Chanel dress Emma Watson wore recently.

Sienna Miller like Marion Cotillard, was one of my red carpet favourites. But when I look at her in this ruffled green Matthew Williamson dress, and Louis Vuitton black tuxedo jacket with feathered shoulders, I just say meh! so what?

It just doesn’t move me. She just doesn’t move me anymore.

The gorgeous and impeccably dress Naomie Harris, walked the red carpet wearing a Dolce & Gabbana black strapless corset dress.

Singer Heidi Range wore RM by Roland Mouret ensemble which included an off-the-shoulder top. She accessorized with black peep-toes, a black clutch and a gigantic black bangle.

She was accompanied to the event by her boyfriend presenter Dave Berry.

Pixie Geldof’s LWD exposes the fact that her deodorant has run out.

Roisin Murphy has to be wearing the widest pants I have ever seen.

They’re from the Armand Basi One Spring 2009 collection, and her top is from the Givenchy Spring 2009 collection.

Alexandra Burke is new to the red carpet after winning the X Factor before Christmas.

I’m sure she already has a hair and make-up team, who are doing a fairly good job, but she needs to fire her stylist.

This nautical inspired black and white striped sequined D&G Spring 2009 tunic with a red sail boat, gets nil points from me.

Matthew Williamson’s show was one of my favourite shows of the entire Spring 2009 season. I covet every piece that was presented.

Radio and TV presenter Edith Bowman made really hard work of this Spring 2009 graphic print dress.

She made it look so frumpy, and totally undesirable.

On the plus side Natalie Imbruglia has returned to her natural roots.

The negative is her RM by Roland Mouret Chevalier fitted jacket and black pants.

It was an attempt at something new which I respect, but I would urge her to stick to cute dresses and flowing gowns.

This does not suit her at all.

Alice Dellal no doubt turned heads in this see-through black dress with fishnet tights.

Without the Vanity Fair party, the only real party that brought out the stars was Elton John’s Annual AIDS Foundation Party.

Unfortunately the likes of Katie Holmes, Kate Hudson, Uma Thurman did not attend and most of those celebrities who walked the red carpet wore the same dress to the parties, so there was not the opportunity to see them in a second set of dresses.

Ziyi Zhang was by far the best dressed at this event wearing a ruffled electric blue Armani Privé Spring 2008 strapless dress.

Sharon Stone made up for her Dior disaster last week, by wearing a white tuxedo from the Christian Dior Spring 2008 collection.

I like the way she has made this sexy, by not wearing a shirt under her waistcoat.

Kate Beckinsale is wearing one of my favourite dresses from the Versace Couture Spring 2008 collection. This is very sexy and un-prom-like look for Kate.

Eva Herzigova looked stunning in this canary yellow Versace Couture Spring 2008 one shouldered gown. Her jewels were from Chopard.

Actress Zoe Saldana has been wearing a lot of stunning dress lately and this J. Mendel Spring 2008 gown with flower detail is no exception.

Portia de Rossi looks stunning in this late coloured Lanvin Spring 2008 dress, although her sun-burnt orange eyebrows are killing me.

Ellen DeGeneres loves to wear suits, and she is looking very dapper in this grey Dior suit with white shoes.

Heidi Klum put away her Dior dress for sake keeping, and stepped out in this stunning metallic Roberto Cavalli Spring 2008 mini dress.

Courtney Love dressed up in this jeweled neckline ivory white satin Lanvin dress, which slightly washes her out.

Mary J Blige wore this aubergine, shoulder embellished dress to perform at this event with host Elton John.

She later changed into this ombre gown, to enjoy the party with the other guests.

Both dresses were equally amazing on the R&B diva, but I preferred this gown.

Sofia Vergara picks up were Salma Hayek left off, in the sexiest buxom babe on the red carpet.

She looks amazing wearing this emerald green Versace dress, which she is in danger of spilling out of.

Designer Monique Lhuillier wore a stunning hybrid of her own designs from her Spring 2008 & Fall 2008 collection.

Terri Seymour attended this event with her boyfriend Simon Cowell.

She is wearing a Loris Azzaro 1970s goddess style dress in apricot sorbet jersey with a ruched bodice from Rare Vintage.

Like Portia, the eyebrows are too thick for my liking.

Natalie Maines of The Dixie Chicks showed us her sexy legs by wearing this interesting aubergine gathered mini Alexander McQueen Fall 2007 dress.

Either it is the lipstick with the Roberto Cavalli dress, or the dress with the lipstick, but something is not working here for Petra Nemcova.

I think it’s the lipstick.

Minnie Driver is a tad boring in chocolate.

She usually makes a effort to stand out as at these events.

I was pleasantly surprised to see singer Nadine Coyle from UK pop band Girls Aloud on the red carpet at this event.

She wore a gorgeous chocolate embellished chiffon dress with golden peep-toes.

Courtney Love wore this Marc Jacobs Resort 2008 multicolored silk chiffon mini dress to Marc Jacobs Spring 2008 show at New York Fashion Week in September.

It has been recently added to Net-A-Porter.com were you can purchase it for only $1,800.

It is a nice dress, but it is not really my style. I think I would struggle to be comfortable in it, in order to pull it off.
