2018 amfAR Gala New York Red Carpet Roundup

The glamour was at a high at the 2018 amfAR Gala New York on Wednesday (February 7) where lovely ladies joined Lucy Hale, Olivia Culpo and Halsey.

Sara Sampaio: The Portuguese beauty had a princess moment in Armani Privé Spring 2006. The glistening tulle was accented with the embellished straps. You’ll be forgiven for thinking that the Chopard jewels were part of the original look as they coordinate so perfectly.

Joan Smalls: Forgoing the glitzy gown, the model donned a Dolce & Gabbana suit with John Hardy jewels. The stark black piping against the muted brocade fabric creates a dynamic display of contrasts, but I wish she saved this ensemble for another event. Against the high octane dresses, it feels a touch out of place.

Coco Rocha: Projecting slinky glamour, the Canadian model showcased the pockets on her Greta Constantine Pre-Fall 2018 dress. There are details aplenty on the gown so I was thankful she lost the coordinating gloves from the lookbook version.

16th Sidaction

There was a bounty of beauties at the 16th Sidaction event, which is part of the Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture Spring Summer 2018 season, on Thursday (January 25) in Paris, France.

Melanie Thierry: I did a double take when I saw the actress as her blonde hair has been dyed a striking ginger shade. It was offset with the jeweled embellishment on her Miu Miu outfit. The beige coat could be deemed too casual by some, but it had an insouciant allure.

Isabelle Huppert: The ‘Elle’ actress proved the beauty of simplicity in an Azzaro Fall 2017 Couture gown. The diagonal detailing had a captivating wrap-around event that showcased her incredible figure.

Elodie Bouchez: Skinny pants plus a mannish blazer is a favourite silhouette of many. She took her Saint Laurent separates further adding a shimmering shirt and supersized earrings. It could have had 80s power suit connotations, but the dark colour palette and tailoring made it feel au courant.

Christian Siriano Celebrates The Release Of His Book ‘Dresses To Dream About’

Designer Christian Siriano celebrated the release of his book ‘Dresses To Dream About’ on Wednesday (November 8) in New York City, with his fashionable fan club in attendance.

Coco Rocha: This Christian Siriano dress may have been monochromatic, but the creamy design was far from boring. It directly tapped into Coco’s flair for the dramatic with the ruffle motif and peplum waist—all topped off with a spirited hat that was within the model’s wheelhouse, even if I could have done without it.

Drew Barrymore: Part of me would have loved to have seen this happily vibrant pink, floral Christian Siriano frock on its own accord without the blue coat and chunky magenta platforms.

Christina Hendricks: Putting the power of an LBD look to work for her, she donned this Christian Siriano design that featured extra flair in the shimmering, zipper top and caped sleeves. I know the choice of plain pumps will leave many quite uninspired, though.

Harper’s BAZAAR Celebrates ‘ICONS By Carine Roitfeld’

The list of lovelies at Harper’s BAZAAR Celebrates ‘ICONS By Carine Roitfeld’ on Friday (September 8) in New York City was seemingly unending, as a number of stars joined Nicki Minaj, Selena Gomez, and Kim Kardashian.

Gigi Hadid: Her hyper-embellished Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2017 ensemble, styled with Lorraine Schwartz jewels, was so intricate and powerful of a statement that it really didn’t require the rhinestone clogs.

Kaia Gerber: Cindy Crawford’s model daughter was all grown up in a slinky Kristian Aadnevik Fall 2017 mini that had her looking like her mom more and more.

Kendall Jenner: There was little left to the imagination in this Dolce & Gabbana ruched, sheer number. Yet, ironically in spite of the see-through, I couldn’t help but still get a certain sophisticated, glam vibe with the look, which I will chalk up to its silhouette along with Kendall’s Old-Hollywood waves, Lorraine Schwartz jewels, and Jimmy Choo sandals.

Coco Rocha In Zac Posen – The Third Murder (Sandome No Satsujin) Premiere & Jaeger-LeCoultre Hosts Gala Dinner

It was a case of two looks, one day for Coco Rocha at the Venice Film Festival, as she attended the premiere of ‘The Third Murder (Sandome No Satsujin)’ and the Jaeger-LeCoultre Gala Dinner on Tuesday (September 5).

‘The Third Murder (Sandome No Satsujin)’ Premiere: In what has become something of a signature look—and pose—for the top model, she worked this Zac Posen sculpted, mermaid gown to her advantage. The cape-style train increased the drama, naturally, while the clean sense of minimal styling was right in line with Coco’s less-is-more sensibility.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Hosts Gala Dinner: Less may be more, but Coco waxed poetic in her second look from designer Zac Posen in this Spring 2017 lace number that likewise featured an intriguing silhouette that played on baby-doll-influenced proportions. Between the pale hue, to the style-forward riff on an empire waistline, it’s a look that will likely divide the vote. I do love how her Jaeger-LeCoultre played into the colour palette.

What did you make of her two looks?

Coco Rocha In Iris van Herpen Couture – Iris Van Herpen X Swarovski Cocktail Party

If there’s one person who can do justice to the intricate masterpieces created by Iris Van Herpen its Coco Rocha.

The supermodel was a guest at the Iris Van Herpen x Swarovski cocktail party during Couture Paris Fashion Week on Monday (July 3), rocking a Spring 2017 Couture halter dress which saw her strike her signature red carpet pose mimicking the winged nature of the design.

If I was to find one tiny flaw within this look it is the shoes.

I would rather Coco to have gone barefoot than opt for those platform peep toe heels.
