‘Black Panther’ World Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

The highly anticipated world premiere of Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ was on Monday (January 29) in Hollywood, California, which drew a veritable constellation of actresses to support the film’s stars Danai Gurira, Angela Bassett, Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, and Nabiyah Be.

Sydelle Noel: The actress opted for a golden goddess look in this shimmering Marc Bouwer gown, by which the cutouts made it a sleekly modern interpretation. The gold dress was one thing, but she channeled Vanessa Bell in ‘Coming To America’ even more so with her Imani-approved high ponytail hair.

Chloe Bennett: The high-shine aesthetic continued with Chloe’s Elisabetta Franchi Fall 2017 embellished gown, which wasn’t anything we haven’t seen. Yet, I like that she let the gown have its time in the spotlight by keeping her accessories -which included Neil J. Rodgers ‘Stella’ shoes and Monica Vinader jewels – to a minimum.

Cobie Smulders: Also getting the glitz memo, Cobie glittered in a Markarian Pre-Fall 2018 grock that offered a fresher silhouette by virtue of its sharp lines and side slit. The minimalistic styling – Jimmy Choo ‘Ellipse’ clutch and ‘Minny’ sandals – also served her quite well here, as the dress was the main attraction.

Cobie Smulders In Emilia Wickstead – ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ LA Premiere

Cobie Smulders joined a host of celebs for the ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ premiere on Saturday (December 9) in Los Angeles.

While most on this red carpet had a look that referenced space or the movie itself, I was hard pressed to find a link with Cobie’s Emilia Wickstead Fall 2017 two-piece look.

What this look did tell me is that Cobie has amazing abs and great style, but I kinda wish her accessories popped a bit more.

I would’ve loved a green Edie Parker clutch here.

ELLE’s 24th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration Red Carpet Roundup

From ELLE’s 24th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration on Monday (October 16) in Beverly Hills, California, we’ve seen the likes of Kristen Stewart and Jennifer Lawrence. Here is a roundup of the rest of the gorgeous actresses who were in attendance.

Jessica Chastain: The vinyl Fashion Week trend didn’t go down too well with the majority, but Jessica put her graceful spin on the trend in Calvin Klein which is the most glamorous interpretation I’ve seen yet.

Margot Robbie: After a colourful week promoting ‘Goodbye Christopher Robin’, Margot opted for the simple elegance of Calvin Klein. I adore the sensuality of this look, plus the embellished sandals.

Zoe Lister-Jones: The Chinese influence of her gorgeous McQ Alexander McQueen floral dress is there for all to see. It’s the complementary styling of Irene Neuwirth and blue suede shoes which really perfected the look.

Cobie Smulders In Emilio Pucci – ‘Friends From College’ New York Premiere

Never one to shy away from a bold print, Cobie Smulders attended the New York premiere of ‘Friends From College’ on Monday (June 26), in a head-turning Emilio Pucci Spring 2017 ensemble.

The two-piece look was decked with a charismatic colourful graphic print, as you’d expect from the designer, with a zany feel which is utterly unconstrained and freeing, an aesthetic which continued to Cobie’s tousled hairstyle.

The choice to pair such a spirited style with a simple black Edie Parker ‘Jean’ clutch and classic red velvet strappy sandals was a good one.

After seeing a few heavy Fall looks on the red carpet over the past few days – Camila Alves in particular – this certainly made me smile.

Cobie Smulders In Schiaparelli Couture – 2017 Tony Awards

Cobie Smulders attended the 2017 Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday (June 11) in New York City.

The ‘How I Met Your Mother’ actress donned a bold gown from the Schiaparelli Spring 2017 Couture collection. The vintage silhouette is pretty and feminine whilst the bold floral design brings some zest and personality to this look.

The nostalgic gown, which is cinched at the waist, is perfectly flattering on Cobie. I particularly love the bare neckline which balances out this look.

Subtle Irene Neuwirth jewels and a relaxed wavy hairstyle finish this look.

End Of The Week Roundup

With so many looks over the past week, here is a roundup of a few that were missed in the red carpet crush of events.

Julie Ann Emery: Joining Jenny Slate at the ‘Gifted’ LA premiere on Tuesday (April 4), Julie Ann embraced a minimalist angle in this Ingie Paris gown that was lovely for its aura of simplicity, although it seemed to fall a tad long at the front.

Olivia Culpo: Speaking of minimalism, this greige Cushnie et Ochs asymmetric jumpsuit was an easy-chic offering. But, it really just played second fiddle to her ultra-bronzed beauty at the grand opening celebration of the W Las Vegas on Friday (March 31).

Jess Weixler:‏ Visually enticing, the crisp white lines of this Jason Wu gown punctuated its rich burgundy hue. I only wish the actress had opted for a sleeker updo at ‘The SON’ LA premiere on Monday (April 3).

Cobie Smulders In Jason Wu – ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ New York Screening

Cobie Smulders In Jason Wu - ‘Avengers Age of Ultron’ New York Screening

Cobie Smulders was also at the New York screening of ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’ at the SVA Theater on Tuesday (April 28), where Elizabeth Olsen and Jennifer Connelly were in attendance.

Black was apparently the colour of the night, with Cobie likewise joining Elizabeth and Jennifer in a walk on the darker side in her Jason Wu Pre-Fall 2015 belted dress.

Sharply tailored, this LBD was no-nonsense minimalism at its finest while still maintaining subtle hints of feminine allure with the plunge neckline and front slit.

Straightforward yet relatively high impact, this was a chic statement for the star even if a sandal would have been much preferred to the black pump. But I am still fixated on her last entrance at the Los Angeles premiere, so I cannot help but compare this less eye-catching look to it.
