Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Valentino presented their Fall 2010 collection is Paris yesterday with many star names seated in the front row.

Anna Wintour arrived wearing a Lanvin contrasting leopard print dress from the Pre-Fall 2010 collection.

Her beaded necklace is becoming a favourite of hers, along with her nude kitten heels and trademark sunglasses.

Natalia Vodianova looked stunning wearing a strapless nude Valentino mini dress with a gorgeous ruffled skirt.

Her look was paired with pewter shimmering accessories.

Claire Danes is having a spectacular week in the front row.

I’m loving her red Valentino Fall 2010 long sleeved mini dress with a ruffled collar and cuffs.

Again the dress was a tad much for the extreme heat in Paris yesterday, but I can forgive as she wore those nude studded runway heels with her look.

Woot woot, Jessica has finally done something different with her hair.

The actress wore a white Valentino dress covered in floral appliqués. The dress maybe a modified look from the Valentino Resort 2011 collection.

What’s Jessica’s deal with making extremely bad footwear choices this week? Plus all her looks from this week are beginning to roll into one.

Olivia Palermo continued the summery theme wearing a Valentino Spring 2010 nude embroidered dress. Her dress was paired with caramel heels and a stand-out clutch.

With the high neckline I would’ve loved it had she worn her hair in a high pony.

The front row at Armani Privé’s Fall 2010 was full of celebs.

From my picture you can see Olivia Palermo – who was sporting a beautiful tan – model Amber Le Bon, British actress Gemma Arterton who opted for a cute ensemble of a white shirt with a black ribbon teamed with black pants, gold pumps and a red clutch.

Hugh Dancy sat next to his wife Claire Danes who’s more petite than I expected.

She looked beautiful wearing an Armani Privé Spring 2010 strapless dress with a champagne coloured clutch and matching heels.

Daphne Guinness was the most entertaining.

Watching her posing for the paparazzi was mesmerizing. It was like she was on a Couture photoshoot.

I’m not sure how she managed to sit down in her corseted white dress which must have reduced her waist down to about 16ins.

She was of course dripping with diamonds.

At the end of the presentation Anna Wintour who was sitting on my side of the runway got up and immediately made her way to Claire giving her a double air kiss.

I’ve never seen Anna embrace a celebrity like this. Usually I only see her dust as she sprints from her seat to the door.

This has got me thinking, could Claire be Anna’s September cover girl?

I don’t think Claire has appeared on an American Vogue cover.

Things that make you go hmmm.

I’m not sure why but the pictures of Claire Danes arriving at the closing ceremony of the 2010 Shanghai Film Festival only popped up on a picture agency yesterday, a week after the event.

Despite it being a week late, I just had to bring you this look as Claire looks so divine wearing this colourful Zac Posen Spring 2010 dress.

Claire can be very one-tone on the red carpet, but for some reason Zac brings out her colourful side.

The off-the-shoulder dress has a glorious colourful print of flowers and stars. I just love the purple and pink with a hint of aqua.

Her partner Hugh Dancy must have been a very proud man walking the red carpet with his stunning wife.

For the closing ceremony of the Shanghai Film Festival Michelle Yeoh wore a stunning orange one shoulder Atelier Versace Fall 2007 gown.

This was my favourite of her two looks during this festival.

I love the colour, the detail and the gold accessories. Definitely BDOTW worthy.

French actress Isabelle Huppert looked effortless wearing a white plunging striped gown which she paired with an ivory clutch.

Claire Danes also opted for a bright colour wearing a red halter gown with a mermaid hem.

Usually Claire opted for neutral colours so this pop of colour is most welcome.

Chopard celebrated 150 years of excellence at The Frick Collection in New York City last night.

Claire Danes walked the red carpet wearing a Lanvin one-shoulder draped dress from the Spring 2010 collection.

Her dress is simply fabulous on the runway, but as we’ve witness so many times – with the exclusion of Jennifer Lopez – this Spring collection doesn’t particularly translate well off the runway.

The colour of me is not the issue, as the white doesn’t wash out Claire.

My issue is the way it kind hangs off Claire looking really lifeless.

Her dress is paired with co-ordinating ankle strap heels.

Her baby blue Chopard bracelet was added for a pop of colour, but seems like such a strange colour choice as it doesn’t complement her overall look.

Claire Danes arrived looking very colourful on the red carpet at the “2010 AMNH Museum Dance” in New York City.

Prior to this event she attended the “Zac Posen for Target Launch”, which is where her tropical print gown is from.

This is the gown that everyone wants from this collection which goes on sale April 25.

It dramatic, colourful and only $69.99.

I was surprised that Claire would pick such a colourful piece, as she tend to stick to safe colours.

I can’t say I love her in this dress, but it’s great to see her in something unexpected.

The black belt stops it from looking too ‘beachy holiday’.

We’re used to seeing stars don the same dresses within weeks or months months of each other, but rarely do we see stars wearing looks six years apart.

That was the case with Claire Danes and Jamie Winstone who both wore this Alexander McQueen Fall 2004 gown.

Claire Danes wore the nude gown with the contrasting criss-cross stripes to the Costume Institute Gala back in April 2004.

The blonde actress teamed her gown with a softly curled updo, delicate drop earrings, fresh-faced make-up and a simple gold clutch.

Jamie wore the dress to the 2010 BAFTAs.

She sported a Marilyn Monroe ‘do and a ruby red pout.

I love that Jamie had fun with this look.

Her ‘do and red lips gave her look character and personality so she wins for me.
