Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Variety Power Of Women New York Luncheon

A host of lovely ladies took to the red carpet for the Variety Power Of Women: New York luncheon held at Cipriani 42nd Street today (April 25) in New York City.

Sarah Jessica Parker: The actress wore a dress from her favourite designer: Giles, donning a strapless pink, mauve and black bat-print frock styled with an Alice+ Olivia embroidered Victorian top and SJP ‘Fawn’ pumps.

Iman: Looking as beautiful and statuesque as ever, the supermodel donned a Michael Kors pleated nutmeg dress from the Spring 2014 collection accented with a snakeskin belt. The dress was styled with a Michael Kors ‘Miranda’ clutch in a matching hue and chocolate open-toe sandals. You may remember that Heidi Klum wore this same dress earlier this year.

Claire Danes: Looking pretty in hot-pink Claire wore an Oscar de la Renta dress with a bubble hem styled with nude sandals.

Claire Danes In Prada - 2014 New York Live Arts Gala

Claire Danes attended the 2014 New York Live Arts Gala held at Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Tuesday (April 22) in New York City.

The actress wore a beautiful Prada indigo three-dimensional guipure lace sleeveless dress with orange, pink, and blue superimposed floral embroidery.

There is a lot of colour and detail going on, so it comes as no surprise that she opted to keep the rest of her look simple, choosing not to carry a clutch and wear simple black pumps.

Eye-catching in a good or bad way?

Claire Danes In Christian Dior - 2014 Producers Guild Awards

After taking a more adventurous turn on the red carpet in both the dress and makeup department for the SAG Awards on Saturday, Claire Danes attended the 2014 Producers Guild Awards held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 19) in Beverly Hills, California joining Dame Helen Mirren, Lupita Nyong’o and Sarah Paulson.

Working a chic Christian Dior Spring 2014 dress featuring a pale-blue-metallic twisted silk bodice and white calf-length pencil skirt, this look feels like the ‘play-it-safe’ Claire Danes we are more accustomed to.

While I would’ve preferred a more neutral lip colour to the bold orange-red shade she opted for, the overall look, which included beautiful Irene Neuwirth earrings and ring, is stunning.

Claire Danes In Vionnet - 2014 SAG Awards

Claire Danes took an elegant walk down the red carpet of the 2014 SAG Awards in Los Angeles this evening (January 18).

The ‘Homeland’ star and nominee wore a stunning crêpe-de-chine mermaid dress with inlaid panels and blue paillette embroidery on tulle from the Vionnet VIP collection.

With such a true work-of-art as a gown, the accents were ever-so-important for Claire, and her Jimmy Choo ‘Lance’ sandals and simple Forevermark Diamonds jewelry were ideal.

Dramatic, blue smokey eyes, berry lips and plenty of volume in her hair finished the look.

Some may argue that she should have pulled her hair up, but I love what Claire is doing here from head to toe.

Claire Danes In Valentino - 20th Annual Nobel Peace Prize ConcertClaire Danes took the stage, accompanied by actor Aaron Eckhart, at the 20th annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert, hosted today at the Oslo Spektrum in Olso, Norway.

The actress stood out in a multi-coloured, floral macramé gown from the Valentino Resort 2014 collection.

With the fiesta of detail covering the dress, she streamlined the rest of her styling.

Small F Collection diamond white Topaz drop earrings, along with a swept-back updo, assured a tidy approach to an artfully cluttered design; one that could have easily been overcomplicated with unnecessary accessories.

You may remember that Du Juan wore this same gown last month.
