Claire Danes In Oscar de la Renta – 2013 Met Gala

Claire Danes glittered at the 2013 Met Gala in New York, celebrating The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s ‘Punk: Chaos to Couture’ exhibit.

From a distance, her Oscar de la Renta black tulle gown, paired with a clutch and shoes from the designer, definitely echoed more ‘couture’ rather than chaotic inspiration.

But, get closer and you’ll see the gunmetal chain-mail embroidery that subtly belies a certain rebellious edge.

That said, this ensemble needed a different, punk-y hairstyle. Some teased and spiked strands to go with Claire’s smoked-out eyes and black-lacquered nails could have worked magic.

Claire Danes In Prada – 2013 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner

‘Homeland’ star Claire Danes was a natural at last night’s 2013 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C.

After going wild for Lanvin at the Time 100 Gala last week, she somewhat returned to her more minimalistic style with this Prada column gown—not that it didn’t have its own measure of bling.

Perhaps the new mom was thinking of her little boy when she selected this baby-blue dress, which also featured cutaway sides and glittery sequin embellishment.

With the slightly precious hue and all that gleam, I’m glad she didn’t pile on bangles or, even worse, a necklace, choosing instead a simple pair of Forevermark diamond studs to accent her blonde wispy waves and petal-pink lippie.

Claire Danes In Lanvin – 2013 Time 100 Gala

Claire Danes returned to the red carpet for the 2013 Time 100 Gala held at Frederick P. Rose Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City yesterday evening.

The ‘Homeland’ actress opted for an animal-print, long-sleeved, flounced-hem frock from the Lanvin Pre-Fall 2013 collection.

We always associate Claire with minimalism and simplicity, so when she opts for a print like this it’s a bit of a shock to the system.

She does manage to pull off the look – to which she added a tribal grey and beige polished horn and wood Lanvin ‘Iliade’ necklace – quite well; however, those platform pumps look a bit heavy.

The more elegant Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps would’ve been preferred here.

Claire Danes In Givenchy – 2013 SAG Awards

Claire Danes showed off her post-baby body on the red carpet at the 2013 SAG Awards in a one-shouldered black and white gown.

A winner of the evening for her work in ‘Homeland’, the star’s Givenchy dress was unique thanks to its asymmetrical art deco-inspired embellishment down the side from hip to hemline. And I enjoyed the simplified geometric design of Claire’s red carpet version over the runway look.

I love that she went with a bodycon silhouette, but wish the structural draping between the body of the dress and long sleeve had been equally as snug-fitting.

To carry the dramatic look into her beauty, the actress opted for a soft, face-framing hairdo and an oxblood-hued lip.

Claire Danes In Atelier Versace – 2013 Golden Globe Awards

Claire Danes showcased her post-baby body in the best way possible on the red carpet at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards wearing a hot-red Versace number.

Her custom Atelier Versace red silk gown, with a thigh-high slit, plunging neckline and beaded details, was simply styled with golden waves, drop earrings and kohl-rimmed eyes.

I don’t know about you, but I would love to know who her personal trainer is. She’s never looked so good.
