Claire Foy In Stella McCartney – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Claire Foy made a chic statement at the 2018 Golden Globes Awards on Sunday (January 7), joining Jamie Chung and Kendall Jenner.

The Best Actress in a Drama TV Series nominee oozed sophistication in a black Stella McCartney pantsuit, participating in the all-black dress code.

Pants have proven to be a popular look this evening, and the ‘Crown’ actress opted for a menswear approach by pairing her wide-leg trousers with a double-breasted jacket.

Harry Winston jewels added understated sparkle.

Sally Hawkins In Christian Dior Couture – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

As a best actress nominee for ‘The Shape of Water,’ Sally Hawkins was at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 7) in Beverly Hills, California.

Old Hollywood elegance was alive and well in her Christian Dior Couture gown, the vintage influence of which I found quite refreshing on the actress.

I like the rich mix of the asymmetrical velvety top and satiny ball skirt, with a chic belt to cinch it all together.

Chopard diamond earrings added a layer of sparkle to the quiet glamour of the look.

Issa Rae In Atelier Prabal Gurung – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Issa Rae shimmered at the 75th Annual Golden Globes Awards on Sunday (January 7) in Beverly Hills, California.

The Best Actress Television Series Musical or Comedy nominee participated in the black dress code with her Atelier Prabal Gurung gown.

This was a princess moment for her, but the dress’s dark hue and the sexy neckline and slit gave it a more mature feel.

My inclination would be to remove the necklace as its chunkiness distracts from the finer details of the look.

Her low bun and soft smokey eye were more successful.

Diane Kruger In Prada – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Diane Kruger arrived on the 2018 Globes Red Carpet looking ethereal in a flowing Prada gown.

This intricately detailed piece worked well with impeccable tailoring and simple pulled back hair. With its beading and design elements like the midriff cut out and cape flowing behind her, Diane made a statement even though she stuck to the black dress code.

Graziela Gems jewels and a silver clutch topped off her look without taking away from this stunning dress.

Angelina Jolie In Atelier Versace- 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Angelina Jolie attended the 2018 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 7) in Beverly Hills, California.

Her Atelier Versace ruched, chiffon gown was very much in keeping with the actress-activist’s straightforward elegance.

However, the feathered cape detail did add a special flair for the evening.

A softly upswept ’do and diamond earrings completed the look.

Reese Witherspoon In Zac Posen – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

It’s no surprise Reese Witherspoon arrived at the 2018 Golden Globes wearing of her favorite designers, Zac Posen.

With six nominations for ‘Big Little Lies’ tonight, including her own for Best Actress, Reese looked like her best self in this one-shoulder mermaid gown.

Sticking with the black dress code, the actress brought some glamour to her look with jewelry from Bulgari.

While it’s rare to see Reese in black, she wore it well and complimented the glamorous silhouette of her gown by leaving her blonde locks straight and smooth.

Lily James In Valentino Couture – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Lily James was also at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 7) in Beverly Hills, California, debuting a new blunt bang for her strawberry-blonde locks.

Like Kate Hudson, Lily wore a Valentino Fall 2017 Couture design. But, her look couldn’t have been more different in its approach to the evening’s glamour.

First of all, lining the gown created a more conservative statement for the wealth of ruffles that covered the design.

I am glad that she kept her styling on the simple side, accenting her bun with a Jennifer Behr bobby pin. Otherwise, I do think that all those ruffles could have been a bit overbearing.
