Christina Hendricks In L'Wren Scott - Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2014

Christina Hendricks attended the 2014 Vanity Fair Oscar party on Sunday (March 2) in West Hollywood, California.

I have to say I am somewhat intrigued by her L’Wren Scott black crepe dolce vita dress, even with the chiffon cape, but as always I want more from her; and colour other than black.

The beautiful actress completed her look with flawless makeup, a sexy updo and black accessories.

AFI Awards 2014 Red Carpet Roundup

Plenty more stars joined Amy Adams, Kate Mara, and Lupita Nyong’o at the 14th annual AFI Awards Luncheon at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills this afternoon (January 10).

Julianna Margulies: The ‘The Good Wife’ star looked chic in black and white donning an Oscar de la Renta blouse and L’Wren Scott pencil skirt with copper Christian Louboutin ointy-toed heels and coordinating clutch and a simple chignon.

Melonie Diaz: The ‘Fruitville Station’ star wore a Honor Spring 2014 dress and worked two spring trends in one–lace and monochromatic white. She paired the dress with a Jimmy Choo ‘Cameo’ clutch and Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ suede pumps. A deep side part in her hair and sweet pink lips completed the look.

Christina Hendricks: The ‘Mad Men’ star went for subtle color-blocking in a soft blue Boden sweater over a seafoam Dolce & Gabbana skirt. Classic nude Jimmy Choo pumps and a metallic clutch completed the look.

L'Wren Scott for Banana Republic Collection Launch Party

To celebrate the launch of its latest collaboration, Banana Republic hosted a star-studded party at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles, California yesterday evening.

The mass retailer teamed up with designer L’Wren Scott on a limited-edition, 50-piece capsule collection. With holiday in mind, the lineup not only reflects Scott’s eye for tailoring and colorful prints, but it also features a bit more seasonally-appropriate sparkle and shine too. Notably, sequin-encrusted cardigans, lace and metallic cocktails dresses, faux-fur accented pieces, and a beaded lipstick-print foldover clutch. This may just be Banana Republic’s most glamorous collaboration yet, and for Scott, it’s her first stint working with a major global retailer.

Jessica Paré: The ‘Mad Men’ actress wore a L’Wren Scott for Banana Republic lips-print blouse tucked into a L’Wren Scott garnet red crepe pencil skirt with gold lacquer buttons, which she styled with a matching red sequin cardigan, red lipstick, and a black pumps. The cardigan was a distracting touch, but nonetheless, one that goes away as soon as it’s taken off.

Christina Hendricks: Following Jessica’s lead, the fellow ‘Mad Men’ star also donned the L’Wren Scott for Banana Republic red sequin cardigan over a L’Wren Scott black signature pencil skirt with gold stitching details and one of the collaboration’s peony-printed blouses. She accessorized with yellow metallic pumps, a black Oroton box clutch, and soft rosy makeup.

L’Wren Scott: The designer wore a black velvet and jersey lacquer button skirt with a coordinating black jet-and-thread embroidered cardigan from her main label, but didn’t stop there. To inject a burst of colour and texture, she styled the pieces with a L’Wren Scott for Banana Republic peony-printed chiffon blouse, velvet bow jacket, and royal blue velvet bow heels.

Of the three beauties dressed in L’Wren Scott for Banana Republic, whose styling do you prefer best?

Christina Hendricks In Christian Siriano -2013 Emmy Awards

Christina Hendricks ratcheted up the old-Hollywood glam meter at Sunday night’s 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

The ‘Mad Men’ actress clad her voluptuous, hourglass silhouette in a sultry, yet sophisticated black gown by Christian Siriano. Providing just the right amount of curves coverage, the dress featured a lace flutter sleeve, which she paired with a sparkling silver-and-green Edie Parker ‘Jean’ clutch and a series of bangles, opting to keep her décolletage bare.

More eye-catching emerald came with her stunning earrings and cocktail ring, with all jewels by Lorraine Schwartz.

Her flame-red bob was coaxed into finger waves, whilst a bold red lip added even more traditional glamour.

You may remember that Christina wore Christian Siriano at the 2012 Emmys, except I think I may even prefer this year’s classic, effortless look.

Christina Hendricks In Badgley Mischka - Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ Performers Peer Group Cocktail Reception

Christina Hendricks attended the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ Performers Peer Group Cocktail Reception to celebrate the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards held at the Sheraton Universal in Universal City, California yesterday evening alongside Mayim Bialik.

The ‘Mad Men’ actress wore a Badgley Mischka Fall 2013 black dress with lace sleeves and a satin collar.

I love Christina. I really do, but this look is incredibly boring.

A few interesting accessories here and here would’ve improved this 100%.

I long for the day when I can write a post about Christina with the words, ‘much improved’. For now I will stick with, “she can do so much better”.

BAFTA New York Celebrates ‘Mad Men

BAFTA New York celebrated the leading lovelies, (and the dapper guys, too), of AMC’s ‘Mad Men’ on Monday at The Harvard Club in New York City. I wanted to be ‘mad’ about the ladies’ looks, but I was left feeling a bit underwhelmed by a few of them.

Jessica Paré:  The Canadian stunner wore a jade-green dress, gilded in gold bric-a-brac at the neck and sleeves, from L’Wren Scott’s Fall 2013 collection. The slimline dress showed off her figure, but I couldn’t take my eyes off the distracting black Casadei ‘Blade’ pumps. They weren’t right for this look, as I much preferred the metallic gold shoes that took to the runway.

January Jones: With her black leather Versace motorcycle jacket and printed Parker mini-skirt, the actress mixed punk and playful styles. Black Miu Miu platform pumps and a tousled bob finished this sporty moment that was certainly worlds away from her classic-glam ‘Mad Men’ character.

Christina Hendricks: The flame-haired star covered up her curves in a long-sleeve, knee-length black Valentino dress. While it did have some silhouette-enhancing trim at the waist and bodice, these details all but disappeared into the blackness. The spark was further extinguished with tired Stuart Weitzman black shoes—a more inspired pair would have worked wonders. At least Christina’s bold red lip provided some much-needed drama.

Kiernan Shipka: The young starlet stood out here with her adorable Dolce & Gabbana bow-accented frock that managed to look simultaneously sophisticated and age-appropriate. She also gets points for her retro side-swept wave and her decision to opt out of black pumps, choosing instead a mesh pair.
