Christina Hendricks In Marchesa – 2014 Emmy Awards

Christina Hendricks In Marchesa - 2014 Emmy Awards

Christina Hendricks made a traffic-stopping entrance at the 2014 Emmy Awards, held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California on Monday (August 25).

Echoing the colour of the red carpet, the ‘Mad Men’ actress slinked out a fiery crimson Marchesa Fall 2013 satin one-shoulder gown.

Opulence was this dress’s middle name with gold leaf filigree embroidery that likewise delivered a sense of romantic 18th century drama. It’s also what took the look to near costume-level proportions.

She kept the Midas moment alive and well with her metallic Lee Savage ‘Space’ clutch along with golden Neil Lane chandelier earrings and accompanying rows of bangles outfitting each wrist.

Factor in her own flame-red waves and ruby lip, and the effect was all a bit overly elaborate for my liking, and the excessive draping didn’t flatter her figure as well as I would have preferred.

Do you agree?

Christina Hendricks In Vivienne Westwood – ‘God’s Pocket’ London Premiere

Christina Hendricks In Vivienne Westwood - 'God's Pocket' London Premiere
Christina Hendricks attended the premiere of ‘God’s Pocket,’ held at BFI Southbank on Monday (August 4) in London, England.

The actress clad her curves in a Vivienne Westwood Gold Label Resort 2014 multi-colour striped, silk taffeta dress.

The boldness of the stripes did slightly downplay the otherwise figure-enhancing, classic silhouette, which featured a draped neckline and nipped-in waist.

Sporting a rather retro updo and adding the pop of a berry lip, Christina matched the metallic sheen of the frock with a metal-accented Stark clutch and shiny bronze Jimmy Choo heels, which thankfully weren’t black pumps.

Although the taffeta perhaps doesn’t translate the best in photos, it’s nice to see her embracing a vibrant palette to complement her flame-red locks. What do you think of her latest look?

Christina Hendricks In Temperley London – BBC Studios

Christina Hendricks In Temperley London - BBC Studios

‘Mad Men’ stars Christina Hendricks and John Slattery paid a visit to the BBC Studios in London, England today (August 4) to promote their new movie, ‘God’s Pocket’, which also stars the late Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

Starting her day off on a great note, the red-haired actress wore a Temperley London Pre-Fall 2014 black jumpsuit featuring French-lace panels and fluted sleeves.

Cinched at the waist to create a flattering silhouette, the look was styled with black Kurt Geiger ‘Britton’ pumps, Karen Walker ‘Number One’ sunglasses and a maroon shoulder bag.

As you know I’m always waiting for that wow moment from Christina, because whenever we see her on the red carpet the general consensus is that she can do so much better; Joan Holloway has spoiled us that way.

Hopefully that wow moment will come this evening for the movie’s premiere.

Christina Hendricks In Dolce & Gabbana – ‘Magic In The Moonlight’ New York Premiere

Christina Hendricks In Dolce & Gabbana - ‘Magic In The Moonlight’ New York Premiere

Christina Hendricks attended the ‘Magic In The Moonlight’ premiere held at the Paris Theater on Thursday (July 17) in New York City alongside Emma Stone.

Wearing a head-to-toe Dolce & Gabbana look which featured a black bow-accented blouse, metallic-gold skirt, ladylike accessories and opulent earrings, I can kinda see what the thought process was when creating the look, but the end result is heartbreaking.

There is nothing I like about this look as it is slightly predictable and terribly aging.

Max Mara And W Magazine Cocktail Party Honouring The Women In Film Max Mara Face Of The Future, Rose Byrne

Max Mara 1

A crush of luminous lovelies were on the scene at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday (June 10) for MaxMara And W Magazine’s cocktail party in honour of the Women in Film Max Mara Face Of The Future, Rose Byrne. Looks from MaxMara and its youthful Sportmax label were plentiful—naturally—with guests each bringing their own unique flair to the evening’s fashion.

Rose Byrne: As the party’s ‘it’ girl, Rose appropriately led the event with one of the more eye-catching, glittery ensembles, shining brightly in a Max Mara midnight-navy sequinned V-neck dress. She paired down the glitz factor with dual-tone, Jimmy Choo Kahlua pumps, neutral makeup and minimal jewels.

Ahna O’Reilly: Pretty in girly pink, Ahna stepped out in a Sportmax crepe dress with zipper detail, Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals and a contrasting blue Edie Parker ‘Edie’ clutch.

Kiernan Shipka: The young trendsetting starlet gave us a feminine look with edge via her demure MaxMara beaded white silk top and tougher Max Mara black leather skirt with feminine pleating. She added a pop of bold colour via a yellow Christian Louboutin studded bag along with strappy sandals.

Christina Hendricks In Alberta Ferretti – ‘Lost River’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Christina Hendricks In Alberta Ferretti - 'Lost River' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Christina Hendricks attended the ‘Lost River’ premiere during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 20) in Cannes, France.

As expected she wore black, donning an Alberta Ferretti Fall 2013 black chiffon gown with delicate jet-black crystals and beaded embroidery on the sheer bodice.

Styled with an embellished black clutch and black satin peep-toes, I can’t say I’m excited about this look as we’ve seen the shorter version on Zhang Ziyi and Sarah Paulson.

I’m still waiting to be wowed by Christina; this is the one place I expected it to happen, but alas it wasn’t to be.

'Lost River' Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Ryan Gosling, Christina Hendricks and Matt Smith attended the ‘Lost River’ photocall during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival this afternoon (May 20) in Cannes, France.

Ryan Gosling: It’s the one we’ve all be waiting for. For some, more so than Cate Blanchett and Blake Lively. Ryan smouldered his way through the photocall this morning looking very handsome in a light-blue shirt and brown trousers. While this look isn’t on a par with his Cannes 2011 Ferragamo look, it’s event appropriate and still swoon-worthy.

Christina Hendricks: Dear Christina, I really want you to blow me away tonight. While I expect you to be wearing black – again – I really hope you at least read the Cannes Film Festival handbook as written by the RCFA readers and myself entitled “Go Big or Go Home”. I have my fingers crossed that you will wear Christian Siriano, as he always dresses you so well. On this occasion she wore a Dior Resort 2015 black suit with Oroton ‘Sepia’ bow pumps.

Matt Smith: The British actor wore a laidback look featuring a cool-blue shirt, checked blazer and navy trousers courtesy of Thom Sweeney. Navy loafers couldn’t be a more perfect way to round out this look.
