Who Wore Victoria Beckham Better…Rachel Weisz or Christina Aguilera?

Rachel Weisz attended the LA premiere of ‘Oz the Great and Powerful’ wearing a stunning Victoria Beckham gown in vivid orange with her hair slicked back.

Her dress, which features nude straps and a white accent below the cut-out, was styled with a Lanvin clutch and Tiffany & Co. jewels.

Christina Aguilera hit the red carpet at the Time 100 Gala in New York last month wearing the same sleek figure-flattering gown in all black.

Diamonds from Lorraine Schwartz adorned Christina’s look, which she styled with wavy tresses and bright-red lippie.

Both look great; however, Christina’s jewels were overkill, plus I prefer the sportier vibe I am getting from Rachel’s look, so she wins for me.

Christina Aguilera In Victoria Beckham – 2013 Time 100 Gala

Christina Aguilera was invited to sing for her supper at the 2013 Time 100 Gala held at Frederick P. Rose Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City yesterday evening.

Before taking to the stage to perform, she dazzled on the red carpet, wearing a black Victoria Beckham Spring 2013 gown.

The figure-hugging gown with a cut-out detail is yet another great, flattering choice for the singer.

Her jewels are a bit much for my personal taste, but she’s a diva so bling is always mandatory.

Side-swept wavy locks, red lips and a matching manicure provided the finishing touches to her look.

You may remember that Rachel Weisz wore this same dress in a bright-orange hue back in February.

Christina Aguilera In Pamella Roland – 2012 American Music Awards

I found myself pleasantly surprised by Christina Aguilera, who took to the red carpet at the 2012 American Music Awards on Sunday evening.

I expected an ill-fitting dress, spandex and a wardrobe malfunction, but she looked amazing wearing a Pamella Roland gown.

Her lavender ombre silk-chiffon halter gown was styled with Jimmy Choo ‘Sugar’ peep-toes, a glitter box clutch which matched her gown, and an armful of diamond-encrusted bracelets.

A sleek bob, smoky eyes and nude glossy lips completed her look.

Sexy without the vulgarity and clown makeup – who knew Christina could pull this off?

Who Wore Michael Kors Better…Angelina Jolie or Christina Aguilera?

I never thought I would see the day when Angelina Jolie and Christina Aguilera wore the same dress, but here you have it.

Angelina donned the Michael Kors black crepe and lace-accented gown to the 2012 Producers Guild Awards in January during Awards season.

Her chic feminine dress with a side slit from the designer’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection was styled with a black Jimmy Choo ‘Tube’ clutch and black Ferragamo peep-toes.

Christina wore the same dress on Sunday evening while attending the 2012 ALMA Awards.

Her silver accessories, which included Neil Lane jewels, a Judith Leiber clutch and a pair of Christian Louboutin ‘Decorapumps’ platforms, provided an interesting contrast which vamped up the look.

Christina’s fun accessories make me favour her in this look, so she wins for me if I ignore the purple ponytail.

2012 ALMA Awards Red Carpet Round Up

Many more stars hit the red carpet at the 2012 ALMA Awards on Sunday evening.

Christina Aguilera: The judge for ‘The Voice’ may have covered up her arms in this lace-accented Michael Kors dress, but she showed a lot of leg via her side slit. I have to say I loved this look, even with the Christian Louboutin ‘Decorapumps’, as they perfectly coordinate with her silver clutch and jewels. The one thing I didn’t like was the purple ponytail.

Olga Segura: Up and coming Mexican actress, Olga Segura, who will soon start promoting her latest movie ‘Border Run’ with Sharon Stone, proved she is one to watch by standing out on this red carpet wearing a bright orange Herve L Leroux gown. Her plunging gown was styled with gold accessories including a Judith Leiber clutch and Arunashi cuff.

Cote de Pablo: Here we have yet another black gown on the ALMA red carpet. Cote also selected a gown with a thigh-high slit, but her MaxMara gown also has a flirty polka-dot panel. A stylish top-knot and drop-dead gorgeous emerald Swarovski earrings, an Swarovski emerald crystal ring and black black satin Swarovski clutch completed the look.

Who Wore Valentino Better? Kristen Stewart or Christina Aguilera

Attending a screening of her movie ‘Welcome to the Rileys’ back in October, Kristen Stewart chose this beautiful asymmetrical lace Valentino Resort 2011 dress.

Looking super confident on the red carpet, the young actress pulled out all the stops to show off this incredibly sexy and sophisticated outfit. Pairing the dress with black satin Brian Atwood heels, a touch of red lipstick and a teased updo, Kristen proved to us all she had the poise to carry off such a chic dress.

Christina Aguilera wore the same dress to attend the 2nd Annual Mary J. Blige Honors Concert in New York on Sunday.

Unfortunately the singer took the opposite approach to Kristen and instead of looking sophisticated, she manages to look tacky. Christina’s bright blonde hair, fake tan, pouty red lips and peep toe heels give off a Las Vegas vibe which clashes terribly with the elegant lace dress.

I also think she should have opted for a sleeker hairstyle too – it just might have changed the overall effect.

My vote is definitely going to Kristen. She styled the dress perfectly right down to the hair, makeup and shoes and as Christina’s look goes to show, the details sometimes make all the difference.
