2014 CFDA Fashion Awards Models Roundup

CFDA 1

Amid the crush of starlets and designers at the 2014 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday (June 2), the models definitely had their moment, too. They strutted out a range of dazzling, directional and sometimes daring looks at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in New York City.

Joan Smalls: Putting her statuesque height to good use, Joan worked her midnight-navy Prabal Gurung draped, cutout gown to sexy effect also flaunting an Angelina leg through the thigh-high slit. She styled the look with metallic ankle-tie sandals and a mod fringe bang, but the gold choker necklace was unnecessary here.

Alessandra Ambrosio
: The Victoria’s Secret cat-walker took a red-hot approach in a Nonoo strapless gown featuring a structured bodice with a crossover ribbon tie at the back. She accessorized with Jennifer Fisher jewels, including a sharp, diamond-pointed pair of earrings.

Chrissy Teigen In Lela Rose – University of Pennsylvania’s 258th Commencement Ceremony

Chrissy Teigen In Lela Rose - University of Pennsylvania's 258th Commencement Ceremony

Chrissy Teigen was spotted at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia on Monday (May 19), where she saw husband John Legend receive an honorary Doctor of Music during the university’s 258th commencement ceremony at Franklin Field.

The model wore a delightfully summery look, donning a loose-fit Maiyet short-sleeved top with a gorgeous Lela Rose pale-pink blossom-print flared skirt.

I’m not sure what happened to her shoes, but I know I’m not a fan of the clutch, either the size or the colour.

Everything else is perfection – the epitome of chic summer style; if I picture this with a pair of cute sandals or espadrille wedges.

Chrissy Teigen In Fyodor Golan – 2014 Billboard Music Awards

Chrissy Teigen In Fyodor Golan - 2014 Billboard Music Awards

Chrissy Teigen made a real statement on the red carpet of the 2014 Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas tonight (May 18).

The model wore an intricate design by Fyodor Golan with a JustFab box clutch, Zanotti peep-toed sandals and Lorraine Schwartz cocktail rings.

When I first saw Chrissy and her husband John Legend hit the red carpet, my first thought was, ‘Who is with John Legend?’ Chrissy is usually a fan of big hair, but I’m loving this sleek, banged (likely clip-on) look she’s trying out.

Both the design and print of the dress are eye-catching and completely unique, and Chrissy pulls it off beautifully.

This whole look is unexpected, and I love it.

Do you agree?

You may remember that Laura Whitmore wore this same dress to the MTV EMAs last year.
