The Art of Elysium presents John Legend’s HEAVEN Gala

As to be expected, there was a rush of stars at the 11th annual edition of The Art of Elysium Presents John Legend’s HEAVEN was held on Saturday (January 6) in Santa Monica, California.

Ashley Madekwe: I was a bit surprised to see Ashley donning the Rodarte Fall 2017 look that Nicole Kidman wore to the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. I will say the proportions of the glittery, ruffled look seemed a bit better suited to Ashley.

Rooney Mara: The actress looks to be continuing 2018 with her favoured colour palette of black and white with this Givenchy Spring 2018 lace-accented, asymmetrical dress.

Vanessa Hudgens: I like the enchanting sweep of this Alberta Ferretti Fall 2017 cape gown styled with an Emm Kuo clutch. What betrays the look a bit is the heavy-handed, rust-hued eye makeup, which is a bit too much in the red colour family.

Chrissy Teigen In Rhea Costa & Tadashi Shoji – GQ Party & Nobel Peace Prize Banquet

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have been busy, first attending a GQ dinner party on Thursday (December 7) in Los Angeles, California. Then the couple stepped out at the official banquet in honour of the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, ICAN at the Grand Hotel in Oslo, Norway on Sunday (December 10).

GQ Party: I was so wrapped up in the romance of this Rhea Costa dress that I forgot that the model is pregnant. The Vardui Kara and EFFY Jewelry sparklers and the golden Tyler Ellis small Perry clutch bring out the rich pink fabric for an enchanting effect. The outfit is very effortless even with the high slit and doorknocker-sized earrings.

Nobel Peace Prize Banquet: The model appears to be in a pink mood, this time wearing a Tadashi Shoji Fall 2017 Persian rose devoré velvet bell sleeve evening gown with rose lace insets. The style was covered up but still had plenty of sex appeal from the chest cut-out. Vardui Kara and EFFY Jewelry accessories added some shine to the bold fabric. John’s dapper one-button suit was the perfect complement to the bold gown.

2017 Baby2Baby Gala Red Carpet Roundup

There were many more celebrities at the 2017 Baby2Baby Gala on Saturday (November 11) in LA, where Gwyneth Paltrow was honoured.

Jessica Alba: Even though she was wearing black, the actress was as glowing as ever. She dressed her burgeoning baby bump in a lace, form-fitted look from the Brock Collection Spring 2018 collection that brought plenty of sultry glamour to the event. Giuseppe Zanotti shoes completed the look.

Jennifer Garner: With an angelic approach, Jennifer wore a white Roland Mouret ‘Cheverley’ gown, which featured high-impact cape sleeves as a dramatic touchpoint.

Alessandra Ambrosio: I think we can all agree that this floral Ermanno Scervino Spring 2018 gown was a subtler take on the model’s favoured overtly sexy style. She accessorised the sweetly feminine look with Narcisa Pheres earrings and a Pasquale Bruni necklace along with the Lee Savage ‘The Space’ clutch.

#REVOLVEawards

There were head-turning looks aplenty at the #REVOLVEawards in Hollywood, California on Thursday (November 2).

Nicole Richie: The designer shone in a House of Harlow 1960 Sabrina dress. The rich emerald green fabric had disco leanings, but the relaxed wrap silhouette and dropped sleeves added a luxe bohemian feel. I could have done without the necklace or the earrings as the belt and green eyeshadow made such a statement, but overall this had a wonderful effect.

Teyana Taylor: Proving that simplicity doesn’t have to be boring, the actress smoldered with her NBD x Revolve Aldon gown. She played up the gold buttons on her hip with chunky gold jewellery. If I had to nitpick, I wish the gown had been shortened an inch or so.

Chrissy Teigen: The model showed off her Chrissy Teigen x Revolve Jet Lag maxi dress from her recent collaboration with the retailer. The inky style is both formal and relaxed at the same time thanks to the velvet and metallic accents against the soft wrap style.

Who Wore Angelys Balek Better? Chrissy Teigen or Praya Lundberg?

Models Chrissy Teigen and Praya Lundberg both had the same idea when they wore this Angelys Balek gown: stand out from the crowd.

And the both did to be fair.

However, Praya’s Atelier Swarovski by Jason Wu mosaic neckpiece puts her look on another level.

So even though her gown has a few pulls around the hips, it’s her styling that secures the win.

Chrissy Teigen In Pamella Roland – 2017 Tony Awards

Chrissy Teigen was giving us geometric goddess vibes at the 2017 Tony Awards held at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday (June 11) in New York City.

The ‘Lip Sync Battle’ host looked radiant in a custom Pamella Roland gown. The white gown was given some edge by the addition of geometric gold embroidery. Metallic lines worked well with the form-fitting silhouette and kept this look modern and fresh.

The pairing of tumbling curls and statement gold earrings was another masterstroke for this uber-polished look.

The little red-brown clutch breaks up the gold and white but still makes sense in this colour story.

Picture perfect, wouldn’t you agree?

2017 Met Gala After-Party

Katy Perry hosted the Met Gala after party at The Boom Boom at The Standard in New York City in the early hours of Tuesday morning (May 2).

Elle Fanning: The young actress donned her second Miu Miu look of the night. I love how the looks starts out minimal in hue and cut before gathering in pace below the waist with an explosion of multi-colour feathers and embellished Christian Louboutin ‘Body Strass’ pumps. I’m imagining this would’ve looked amazing as a gown for the main event.

Kate Bosworth: Since the majority of you disliked Kate’s Tory Burch red carpet look, I won’t be surprised if you wished she’d worn her Emilio Pucci Spring 2017 boldly hued frock to the main event. It certainly would’ve had a greater impact.

Katy Perry: It was Katy Perry’s party and she will dress as ridiculously as she wants too. My only surprise is that she didn’t wear Ulyana Sergeenko Fall 2016 Couture look with the runway helmet.
