Giorgio Armani’s 40th Anniversary Celebration

Giorgio Armani's 40th Anniversary Celebration

A glorious guest list attended Giorgio Armani’s 40th Anniversary Silos Opening and Cocktail Reception on Thursday (April 30) in Milan, Italy. With Armani ensembles at every turn, sleekness and chicness were the order of the day.

Cate Blanchett: The queen again reigned supreme in this stunning Armani Privé Spring 2015 cream suit architecturally punctuated by a black obi-style sash. Radiantly luminous makeup and a softly swept-back ’do projected even more beauty on top of elegance here.

Chris Pine: I loved the sense of ease that characterized Chris’s polished Giorgio Armani gray suit with lavender shirt and dark tie. That he appears to be wearing his loafers sans socks only contributes to the effortlessly handsome look on this occasion.

Hilary Swank: Her sculptural, asymmetric Armani Privé Fall 2014 cocktail dress was a work of art with red floral embroidery and netted overlay for a ladylike yet bold statement.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Diane Kruger In Donna Karan Atelier & Rosamund Pike In Givenchy Couture

BDOTW 2 march

Red was the colour of the week as the majority of our favourites donned the colour on Oscar night.

Emma Stone’s 100% record of winning best dressed polls was finally broken by the one and only Diane Kruger, who took our breath away in a crimson Donna Karan Atelier jumpsuit.

After a truly lacklustre awards season, Rosamund Pike finally gave us something to smile about on Oscar night, wearing a stunning Givenchy Couture gown. Had she been an Olympic hurdler, this would’ve been her jumping the final hurdle before crossing the finishing line having knocked over all of the previous hurdles.

With Eddie Redmayne suppressing his love for colour and patterns this awards season, my favourite by far was David Oyelowo for standing out in his bold red Dolce & Gabbana, while you went for the classic elegance of the dashing Chris Pine.

2015 Oscars & Vanity Fair Party Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Oscar men

The men were out in force at the 2015 Oscars and the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, where there was plenty of handsome inspiration to go around from a fine group of fellows.

Jared Leto: Getting the evening started on a non-traditional note, the actor and musician was every bit the unorthodox Academy Awards dresser in his baby-blue Givenchy tux, accented by a white bowtie and white lug sole shoes. He let his hair down literally and made no excuses for it, saying that the Oscars was his going-away party for his locks. I wonder if the beard was also included in that party. While no one could pull this off like Jared, between the mane and the male pastels, this was verging on almost too much too handle.

Chris Pine: A stark contrast to Jared, Chris went for the all-out traditionally classic route and suited up in a Giorgio Armani black double-breasted peak-lapel tuxedo. It was impeccable and goes to show what transformative power a well-tailored tux can have.

David Oyelowo: Looking as if he was inspired by the red carpet itself, the ‘Selma’ actor dressed to impress in a crimson Dolce & Gabbana three-piece tuxedo word with #TackleEbola handcrafted pin by Jason of Beverly Hills. He does a great job pulling off this colour, yet I’m not completely sold on the satiny look of the vest and bowtie underneath.

Chris Pine In Giorgio Armani – 87th Academy Awards Nominations Announcement

Chris Pine In Giorgio Armani - 87th Academy Awards Nominations Announcement

Chris Pine was on hand to announce the 87th Academy Awards nominations on Thursday (January 15), which was held at the AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California.

As the current face of one of Giorgio Armani’s signature fragrances, ‘Armani Code’, it was not a surprise to see the handsome actor wearing a suit by the Italian brand.

Beautifully tailored with construction to ensure the masculine shape remains strong through the shoulders and chest, his Giorgio Armani Made to Measure charcoal-grey two-button notch-lapel suit styled with a classic white open shirt was given an extra flourish via his dotted pocket square.

‘Horrible Bosses 2′ LA Premiere Menswear Roundup

'Horrible Bosses 2' LA Premiere Menswear Roundup

Jennifer Aniston was joined by a host of her male co-stars for the ‘Horrible Bosses 2′ LA premiere held at TCL Chinese Theatre on Thursday (November 20) in Hollywood, California.

Chris Pine: Be still my beating heart. It has been a while since we last saw the actor on the red carpet. On this occasion he opted for the ultra-suave offerings of Giorgio Armani, wearing a Made to Measure two-button peak-lapel pin-dot-pattern wool and silk blend suit with a classic white shirt and a black neck tie for his red carpet look. No wonder the Italian brand snapped him up to be the face of their Armani Code signature men’s fragrance.

Jason Sudeikis: I would say the actor was well on course for his second BDOTW win in this sleek navy-blue suit. Once again he styled his look with some dapper accessories, in this case a polka-dot green and white tie and matching pocket square. A spot on the Best Dressed Man of 2014 list from this promo tour alone is in the offing.

Charlie Day: Navy-blue was also the colour selected for Charlie’s smart notched-lapel suit.

Menswear Midweek Roundup

Menswear Midweek Roundup

Here is a quick menswear roundup.

Chris Pine: The new face of the bestselling fragrance Armani Code was a front row guest at Giorgio Armani’s Spring 2015 menswear show during Milan Fashion week on Tuesday (June 24). The handsome actor was of course wearing a Giorgio Armani suit. The finely textured navy notched-lapel suit was styled with a crisp white unbuttoned shirt with contrasting blue loafers. The only thing to improve this look, in my eyes, would be just a bit of product in his hair, or a haircut.

Zach Braff: The actor joined co-star Ashley Greene on the red carpet for the ‘Wish I Was Here’ LA premiere. He wore a Dior Homme grey wool micro-check slim lapel three-piece suit, burgundy cotton shirt, navy silk tie and black calfskin leather derbies. I’m not loving the colour combination here. I would start with losing the fall-hued shirt and tie in favour of lighter shades.

Jim Parsons: Opting for colour which wasn’t so Fall-like, the best thing about this look for me was Jim’s tie.
