Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Chloe Moretz is currently promoting her new movie “Hick” at the 2011 Toronto Film Festival.

For the premiere yesterday, the fourteen-year old actress chose a very grown-up sheer and leather Valentino Pre-Fall 2011 dress.

Her ensemble features a lace corset worn underneath a sheer polka-dot blouse with black trim on the sleeves, tucked into a high-waist leather skirt. She opted not to wear the Peter Pan collar as presented on the model.

Chloe’s provocative look was accessorized with nude Mary-Jane heels and violet nail polish.

She also added smoky eyes and styled her hair into a centre-parted ponytail.

I definitely think this is too revealing and sexy for someone as young as Chloe.

A reader said that I failed when it came to the BDOTW poll this week.

What that person failed to realize is that August is a quiet month. It always has been for red carpet fashion as celebs are either on vacation or filming their next blockbuster.

Granted there were slim pickings this week, but you chose Chloe Moretz in Christopher Kane as your favourite.

The 14 year old continues to pull off some of the most sophisticated designs with uncanny grace and confidence.

I went for Rihanna in Antonio Berardi.

With so many black and white looks on the red carpet this week, I was relieved to see someone wear some colour on Friday.

It was the perfect end to a quiet week.

Chloe Moretz attended the Empire Big Screen Event at the O2 Arena in London this weekend.

The American teen actress wore a beautiful Christopher Kane Resort 2012 ensemble.

Her look consisted of a sequin rainbow top and cut away silk rainbow skirt.

Chloe wore her skirt over the top which gave her waist more definition.

It’s still so hard to believe Chloe is only 14 as taking full ownership of what she is wearing in such a graceful mature manner.

Black strappy sandals and an updo with a few pieces framing her face completed her look.

Despite the horrible weather in the UK on Sunday, many stars wore summery looks to The Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup Polo Final at the Cowdray Park Polo Club in Midhurst, England.

Leigh Lezark: The Misshapes DJ wore a white Peter Pilotto Spring 2011 dress. Her silk dress is perfect for the occasion whilst still displaying her edgy style. She opted for Nicholas Kirkwood python silver heels. I wish on this occasion she opted for the same Kirkwood heels worn by Rose Byrne.

Chloe Moretz: The teen actress appears to be taller from the last time we saw her on the red carpet. She wore a simple ivory vest with matching cropped pants, but made the look interesting by adding a straw boater hat, gold long necklace and lilac sandals.

Tamsin Egerton: The English actress opted to wear the Jonathan Saunders Spring 2011 dress recently worn on two separate occasions by Samantha Cameron. The dress really misses the runway belt, so I prefer how it was worn by Samantha. Nicholas Kirkwood sandals completed her look.

Teen star Chloe Moretz is still unnecessarily pouting her way down every red carpet lately.

Yesterday she attended The Royal Academy of Arts’ Summer Exhibition Preview Party in London wearing a Carven Fall 2011 dress.

The look had a plaid asymmetrical top with a cap sleeve and a black tulip shaped skirt.

I love the nude Miu Miu shoes and her hair pulled back in a tight bun.

Minus the pout I love this look as she both an interesting and varied sense of style.

Chloe Moretz attended the 1st Annual Comedy Awards which was held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Saturday.

The pouty teen looked adorable wearing a Miu Miu star print short sleeve mini dress.

I was delighted to see that she teamed her dress with Miu Miu tri-colour double-buckle Mary Jane pumps – it looks like stars are getting my ‘no black pumps on the red carpet’ memo.

Chloe’s extended wavy hair was swept over one shoulder and a silver clutch completed her look.

Whilst so much is right with Chloe’s look, I really object to the pout and the hair extension for the 14 year old.

It’s a good look gone ‘Miley Cyrus circa 2008/09′.

Chloe looks so much better with shorter hair.
