Get The Look: Chloe Grace Moretz’ MTVu Fandom Awards Effortless Waves

Comic-Con International 2014 - mtvU Fandom AwardsCelebrity hairstylist Gregory Russell created Chloe Grace Moretz’ effortless waves for the MTVu Fandom Awards at Comic-Con.

Gregory shared his inspiration, “We wanted to create an effortless, waved, textured hairstyle to complement her graphic Christopher Kane dress.”

Here’s how to get the look.

First he started with towel dried Chloe’s hair before applying Kevin Murphy Easy Rider and Bumble and Bumble Grooming Creme.

Then he blew out her hair with a ceramic round brush.

Next, he waved each section with a flat iron to create a natural texture and then added Leonor Greyl Eclat Natural through the ends.

Kerastase Laque Dentelle Hairspray provided the finishing touch.

Chloe Grace Moretz attended the mtvU Fandom Awards on Thursday (July 24) in San Diego, California which was held during Comic-Con 2014.

The actress wore one of her favourite designers, Christopher Kane, donning a stretch-jersey body-con black Resort 2015 dress in a sporty sleeveless cut which, despite featuring sweet white floral embroidery, still maintains the designer’s urban-cool flavour.

Blue Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals completed her look.

Armani Privé Fall 2014 Front Row

Giorgio Armani packed the front row with celebs for the Armani Privé Fall 2014 show held at the Théâtre National de Chaillot on Tuesday (July 8) in Paris, France during Haute Couture Fashion Week.

Kate Hudson: Oozing with A-list glamour, the actress stunned wearing an Armani Privé Spring 2014 embellished long-sleeved V-neck jumpsuit accented with a silk scarf with a brooch-like detail on the shoulder. The only thing which lets this look down for me is the shower/gym-bun hairstyle.

Pink: We don’t usually see the singer at Couture week, so could this signal a change in style? We will have to wait and see. Pink wore an Armani black satin dress with a beaded bodice which was perhaps too tent-like for my liking.

Get The Look: Chloe Moretz’ Saturn Awards Braided Updo

Chloe Mortez Hair2

Celebrity hairstylist Gregory Russell worked with Chloe Grace Moretz for the 40th Annual Saturn Awards, creating her gorgeous braided look.

Firstly, Gregory applied Kevin Murphy Hair Resort Spray throughout her damp hair and loosely dried it with a medium boar-bristle round brush.

Next, he sectioned her hair from the back of her ear forward and braided one braid up and over to the other side, fastening with a clear elastic band.
Then he used a bungee to fasten the rest of her hair at eye level.

He then split the pony in two and twisted the two sections with one another.

Taking the twist and fastening it into a bun with bobby pins, he then added some braided extensions around the bun for added texture and fullness.

Finally, he pinned the front braid around to the bun and loosened the braid on top to his desired shape.

Chloe Moretz In Dolce & Gabbana - 40th Annual Saturn Awards

Chloe Moretz was in attendance at the 40th annual Saturn Awards, hosted on Thursday (June 26) in Burbank, California.

Donning a Dolce & Gabbana tapestry-style printed dress with black ankle-strap sandals, she accepted her award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor for her role in ‘Carrie.’

While the young actress was adorable with her loosely braided updo and natural-glow makeup, there seemed to be something missing here.

Perhaps a bolder shoe, or the sparkle of some jewels, may have done the trick.
