Chloe Grace Moretz In Carven - 'The Library' Opening Night Celebration

Chloe Grace Moretz attended ‘The Library’ opening night celebration at The Public Theater on Tuesday (April 15) in New York City.

For her return to the red carpet, the actress wore a Carven Pre-Fall 2014 fashion-forward dress which needed little in the way of accessories.

The stunning laser-cut design, atop a full maroon silk underlay, creates depth and definition, with the black velvet high-neck panel adding an old-world feel to this modern look with a feminine flair.

Worn with a pair of open-toe heels, she opted for neutral makeup and a simple updo.

Who Wore Christopher Kane Better Chloe Moretz or Jennifer Hudson

Chloe Moretz was the first to wear this off-the-shoulder black dress with red, blue, white and yellow elastic panels from Christopher Kane’s Resort 2014 collection, taking the colourful piece down the red carpet at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards, styling the look with Jimmy Choo heels.

Jennifer Hudson wore the same dress while attending Clive Davis’ annual Pre-Grammy party, styling the look with black pumps while adding a bit more flavour to her look via her orange Rodo clutch and bold red lip.

Both ladies couldn’t have picked a more perfect look for their respective events, but Chloe’s choice of shoes makes her a winner for me.

Chloe Grace Moretz In Christopher Kane - 'Laggies' Sundance Film Festival Premiere

Chloe Grace Moretz attended the ‘Laggies’ premiere held at Eccles Center Theatre during the 2014 Sundance Film Festival on Friday (January 17) in Park City, Utah joining Keira Knightley.

The youngster turned her metallic-silver Christopher Kane Spring 2014 embroidered pocketed shift dress into a Fall-like look, adding both a black turtleneck and black knee-high boots.

Perhaps some of you are thinking she should’ve added tights, but I think the look works well without them.

A simple updo and smoky eyes completed her winter-festival look.

Chloe Moretz In Miu Miu - 'Carrie' Tokyo Stage Greeting

Chloe Moretz attended the ‘Carrie’ stage greeting at Shinjuku Piccadilly in Tokyo, Japan earlier today.

The young actress wore a Miu Miu black and red polka-dot silk taffeta ¾ sleeve dress from the Fall 2013 collection featuring black twill trims and faux buttons lining the exposed zipper.

Some have expressed a dislike for Chloe’s more mature/aging red carpet looks of late, but I think this funky look has both chic and youthful appeal.

Do you agree?

Black platform sandals, a dark manicure and wavy tresses completed her look.

Chloe Moretz In Vivienne Westwood - 9th Annual GLSEN Respect Awards

Chloe Moretz attended the 9th Annual GLSEN Respect Awards at the Beverly Hills Hotel in California on Friday evening.

At first, I wanted to blame this camera angle as not being too flattering. But in the end, I decided that this Vivienne Westwood pink polka-dot strapless dress is all wrong for the young actress’ petite frame.

There is too much fabric going on; even with the attempt to rein it in with the studded belt, it’s still a no for me.

Chloe has been on a good roll lately, so this comes as quite a disappointment.

Premiere Of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures & Screen Gems' "Carrie" - ArrivalsWhen Chloe Grace Moretz walked the red carpet for the LA premiere of her highly anticipated film ‘Carrie’, everyone took notice of her intricate side braid.

Hairstylist Gregory Russell, who regularly styles Chloe’s hair, was inspired by Chloe’s Valentino dress to create the loose, romantic plait.

To create the look, Gregory applied Kevin Murphy Easy Rider Anti-Frizz Crème throughout Chloe’s damp hair. Then, he made a center part and combed the top smooth.

Next, he rough dried the length of her hair, but dried the crown and hairline with a round brush.

Then, he created further texture by curling random pieces of the hair with a 1.25” curling iron, and then combed them through with his hands.

Next, he chose a few random pieces to braid into small braids, working them in the direction the side braid would fall and fastened them with clear fasteners.

Then, excluding the small braids and a few other random pieces of hair, Gregory braided the rest of the hair into a loose braid, tying black lace around the end.

Finally, the took the smaller braids and loose pieces and pinned them onto or wrapped them around the larger braid, securing with clear, rubberized bobby pins

As a tip for recreating, Gregory shares, “With a style like this, it’s super organic and not too deliberate. You can’t really mess it up!”
