Louis Vuitton Resort 2016 Front Row

Louis Vuitton Resort 2016

The Louis Vuitton Resort 2016 show was held at a futuristic private residence in Palm Springs, California on Wednesday (May 6), where a list of pretties sat front row to take in the out-of-this-world affair.

Michelle Williams: The star of Louis Vuitton’s handbag campaign, the actress rather ironically didn’t carry a clutch here. Instead, she paired her tousled platinum locks with a whimsically printed, scallop-edge frock from the fashion house, toughened up by black colour-blocked accents and patent booties.

Zhang Ziyi: Combining feminine charm with mod edge, the actress was alluring in a Louis Vuitton colourful cropped jacket, laced in bright pink flowers, worn with a geometric tee and black petal skirt. Mismatched earrings and a heavy-duty cuff provided another layer of interest to the look with her bright magenta lip polishing it off in youthfully fun style.

Selena Gomez
: Going the way of tough-girl chic, the singer-actress rocked a Louis Vuitton lace-embellished, black leather dress with those ubiquitous black LV booties and a smoky eye to further ensure the edgy spirit of the look.

Charlotte Gainsbourg In Louis Vuitton – ‘Every Thing Will Be Fine’ Berlin Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Charlotte Gainsbourg In Louis Vuitton - 'Every Thing Will Be Fine' Berlin Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Charlotte Gainsbourg made an appearance at the Berlinale International Film Festival for the photocall and premiere of her latest movie, ‘Every Thing Will Be Fine’, on Tuesday (February 10) in Berlin, Germany.

Photocall: While this Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2015 look is a) from the latest collection and b) quintessentially Charlotte, I feel like I’ve seen her in this look at least twice before. I guess that is the possible downside of being a muse.

Premiere: For the premiere there was no such feeling of déjà vu. Even though the hair and non-makeup stayed the same, there was an instant shot of glamour given to the French actress, who wore a custom Louis Vuitton gown that was simple in its V-neck design yet enriched with an embellished bodice. Here, Charlotte is the very epitome of the brand under Nicolas Ghesquière: cool and effortless with a hint of sex appeal. With the lack of gowns showcased on the LV runways and look books, these moments are all the more special.

Are Charlotte Gainsbourg and Louis Vuitton a perfect union, or do both parties need to do something new?

Louis Vuitton ‘Series 2’ The Exhibition

Louis Vuitton1

Louis Vuitton hosted their ‘Series 2’ The Exhibition in Hollywood, California, on Thursday (February 5), inviting their favourite girls along with a whole host of stars, some wearing the luxury label for the first time.

Jennifer Connelly: The actress put her best ankle boot forward, standing out head and shoulders above the herd wearing an intricately embroidered lavender leather LV look styled with her ever-present LV clutch. Just when the union was starting to wane, this look sees my love reignited.

Michelle Williams: Having lent her face to Louis Vuitton several times now, the actress continues to manage to balance her dainty style with an edgier vibe in the brand’s unique pieces. Working a Zosia Mamet-esque hairstyle, the part-printed frock was styled with ice-white sandals.

Dianna Agron: My words are few for this look: No and what were you thinking? From the contrasting garish prints and the granny tights, I would only save the bag from this look.

Charlotte Gainsbourg In Louis Vuitton – 2014 British Fashion Awards

Charlotte Gainsbourg In Louis Vuitton - 2014 British Fashion Awards

Charlotte Gainsbourg attended the 2014 British Fashion Awards on Monday (December 1), hosted at the London Coliseum in London, England.

One thing that can be said for the actress is that she is certainly one for consistency. No shock then that she rocked a head-to-toe Louis Vuitton look from the Spring 2015 collection.

LV designer Nicolas Ghesquiere won the International Designer award, so she was in good company celebrating her favoured label.

The cropped leather motorcycle jacket and patent ankle booties had Charlotte written all over them, as she downplayed the dazzle of the heavily sequined, zipper-front minidress with a dash of biker edge.

She didn’t rock the boat on her beauty look either, continuing her signature no makeup, messy hair standard.

Do you like her sartorial predictability, or are you ready to see something new?

Louis Vuitton Monogram Celebration

Louis Vuitton Monogram Celebration

A host of stars joined Nicole Kidman on the red carpet for the Louis Vuitton Monogram celebration held at the Museum of Modern Art on Friday (November 7) in New York City.

Miranda Kerr: As you know, the model has been trying to shake off her known for style and present much edgier red carpet looks. While Miranda might be just wearing a sheer top and printed skirt from Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2015 collection, she’s not selling this look to me as she doesn’t strike me as an LV girl under the helm of Nicolas Ghesquière. The LV Fall 2013 or LV Spring 2013 collections are more suited to her ultra-femme style.

Jennifer Connelly: The actress is still going full steam ahead with the Louis Vuitton Spring 2014 collection, wearing a trompe l’oeil mini dress with lace tights and boots while carrying an LV minaudière. While I can’t deny how great she does look, I can’t help thinking how terribly bored her stylist must be at the moment to be working in such narrow confinement.

Charlotte Gainsbourg: Between Jennifer and Charlotte this LV Spring 2015 collection will be used up by Christmas, which might not be such a bad thing. Like a true Ghesquière disciple the French actress wore the runway look in its entirety, and while I have a been-there done-that feeling about this look, she’s working the hell out of it, therefore forcing me to buy what she’s selling.
