Gift Of Life IX Charity Ball, London

Mischa Barton wore lilac Temperley London gown to this event. It is shame she decided on wearing a ridiculous headband and Halloween make-up.

“Battle In Seattle” Screening, LA

For the New York screening of Battle in Seattle, Charlize Theron was head to toe in red. For this LA screening she opted for a short bubble hemmed Givenchy Resort 2009 dress, with black sandals.

Despite the somber colour, Theron is still a knock out.

Entertainment Weekly’s 6th Annual Pre-Emmy Party, LA

Lauren Conrad also wore a LBD from the Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2008 collection.

The reality TV star wore a string of pearls and a surprisingly small – for her – Chanel bag, with her camisole neckline layered dress.

Padma Lakshmi wore a stunning red John Galliano dress with asymmetric ruffles and embroidery detail.

Maria Menounos kept it simple, and predictable wearing a white haltered Herve Leger bandage dress, with silver strappy sandals.

“Sex and the City: The Movie” DVD Launch, New York

Unfortunately Sarah Jessica Parker’s hair ruins this look for me. The front part with the bangs, looks like a hair piece which has been attached to her head, as it appears to be a different colour to her hair on the side.

I love the smoke print Alexander McQueen Resort 2009 sheath dress, and I am sure the Marlboro lights loving Carrie would approve, but the hair…noooo.

Cynthia Nixon was very neutral in an all beige look, consisting of a satin pleated Calvin Klein Resort 2009 dress, and matching square-toe heels.

For me Cynthia was the best dressed at this event, and that is not something I have ever said about her.

I love the velvet eggplant Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2008 suit and the chain-mail top, such a great look. But Kim Cattrall goes and ruins it by leaving her top open to expose her bra.

Yes she wanted to steal the attention away from SJP, but was this the right way to go about it?

I think not.

Dreamball 2008, Berlin

Eva Mendes’ flirty sequin dress was a dazzling choice, but I just wish it was more form-fitting.

“Battle in Seattle” Screening, New York

Charlize Theron turned up the heat in her red hot satin one-shoulder Christian Dior dress, which she matched with Christian Louboutin bow heels.

This is simply an elegant and stunning look for the actress. As we would expect.

Fashion Fringe Grand Final, London

Dita von Teese, who is doing that foot posing thingy she does so well, wore a black RM by Roland Mouret Pigalle stretch wool dress, which as I said earlier, is fast becoming the IT celebrity dress of the season.

She completed her head to to black look, with black square-toe Alexander McQueen heels and a black Christian Louboutin Minilou clutch.

The 100th Episode Of “Dog Whisperer”, LA

Jada Pinkett Smith wore a stunning turquoise Jasmine di Milo sheath dress, which interestingly wore with a red/black belt.

Jada choices are never predictable and never boring.

Charlize Theron wowed us all when she wore this stunning black Narciso Rodriguez Fall 2008 dress, for her appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman back in June.

The beauty of this dress, is the back detail, which is beautifully sculptured in a criss-cross effect, with an exposed zipper.

This form fitting dress is available to purchase from Net-A-Porter’s US site for $1,745, and the international site for £1,040/€960.

I never thought there would be a day when Charlize Theron and Britney Spears would wear the same dress, albeit different lengths.

Charlize made us all say “wow” when she wore this asymmetrical Atelier Versace Fall 2008 gown to The Burning Plain Premiere at the 65th Venice Film Festival recently.

We were all floored by how stunning and statuesque the actress looked in her gown.

Britney Spears who stole the show at last nights MTV Music Awards, wore the same Versace dress, but the length was shorten and the hem was jagged.

Britney may have worn 3 awards last night, but she loses this battle. This dress is better suited as a gown, so Charlize wins this for me.

Best Couture/Best Dressed Award
I LOVE, Love, Love Hilary Swank in this lilac Givenchy Fall 2008 Couture one-shouldered dress.

The colour, the matching shoes and the draping detail, I love it all.

I would not have thought that Hilary would pick something so edgy, but it works.

I would have loved if she had taken this look further and spiked her hair or messed it up a little.

Best Non-Dress Award
Even in a silver blazer and tight fitting pants, Charlize Theron still rocks it.

Her blazer was fresh off the runway from the Rag & Bone Spring 2009 presentation she had attended earlier on in the day.

She completes her look with a Dior statement necklace.

Surprisingly Fabulous Award
If someone had told that Brandy was going to be wearing a dress from the Lanvin Fall 2008 collection, I would predicted it would be a disaster, but she totally pulls off this Lanvin shiny black structured dress.

And I commend her for making it work, because this is not an easy dress too pull off.

I always assumed that whoever wore it on the red carpet, would make the dress look like a dustbin liner, and she does not.

She completes her look with the now popular YSL Trib Two Platform Pumps.

Best Black Award
Rihanna’s Monique Lhuiller Fall 2008 strapless gown with a ruffled neckline, and a jeweled belt, was so fantastic, that I hardly noticed how much I dislike her current hair cut.

What A Refreshing Change Award
You can normally rely on Beyonce to wear a blinged out dress, or a ridiculous tight fitting mermaid style dress, but on this occasion we have a very cute navy mini dress with accentuated, velvet shoulders.

Very classy, very understated, very chic. I love it.

Best Va-Va Voom Curves Award
With Beyonce toning it down, we had to look to Ciara to provide va-va voom curves, and she did, wearing a stunning black and white sequined Elie Saab Fall 2008 asymmetric gown.

She has an amazing body, and this dress fits her like a glove.

No So Lame Award
For once I don’t hate what Paula Abdul is wearing, in fact I really like it, as it compliments her stunning figure.

The gold lame dress is not over the top, its not tacky, its so not like Paula.

Best Mini/Best Legs Award
Hayden Panettiere really loves showing off her legs lately, and she does so again wearing a multi-coloured chain-mail Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2008 mini.

I much prefer the Heroes star with longer locks.

Best Use Of Colour Award
There was not a lot of bright colour on the red carpet last night, so I thank Kate Mara for providing that, with her Zac Posen multi coloured knit dress.

Don’t You Scrub Up Well Award
Who knew Emily Procter had this in her?

Emily is not one to take to the red carpet too often, but she looks amazing here with her champagne sequined Collette Dinnigan Fall 2008 dress and glossy mane.

Just OK Award
Leona Lewis would have got more than ‘Just OK’ had she worn her beautiful black and white Roberto Cavalli Resort 2009 mini dress without the tights.

I love the embroidery on the bodice of this dress.

Best Sparkle Award
I love a sparkling embellished dress, and Molly Sims’ Donna Karan dress is just that.

Most Surprising Award
Vivica A. Fox surprisingly does not offend me, as for once she does not look like one of those honeys from a rap video.

Her look is sophisticated in this black Oscar de la Renta Silk faille embroidered dress which she teams with bowed Christian Louboutin Very Noeud slingbacks.

Most Improved Award
Ashanti goes up and down all the time. This time she does well. It would not be my choice, but she works this heavily embellished fuchsia Marchesa Spring 2008 dress with cut-out detail very well.

Best Dress/Clutch Combo
Award
I love how Elizabeth Banks Stella McCartney’s Pre-Fall 2008 dress compliment each other, but I am a little disappointed with her hairstyle.
