Charlize Theron In Christian Dior Couture - Oscars 2014

Charlize Theron attended the 2014 Oscars held at Hollywood & Highland Center on Sunday (March 2) in Hollywood, California.

The actress wore a dramatic black Dior Couture gown, which I will admit I’m still very much on the fence about as I have an issue.

It’s the sheer illusion straps that remind me of those bras with the clear plastic straps preventing me from loving the look.

From the waist down, I’m fully on board with the sheer skirt and tiered hem, which fans out into a dramatic train.

A slick back do and Harry Winston jewels completed her look.

Charlize-Theron-In-Givenchy-F10-Sean-Penn-3rd-Annual-Help-Haiti-Home-Gala

Charlize Theron joined Allison Williams and Diane Kruger at the  3rd Annual Sean Penn & Friends Help Haiti Home Gala hosted by Giorgio Armani at the Montage Hotel on Saturday (January 11) in Los Angeles, California.

For the occasion, the actress chose an intriguing asymmetrical Givenchy Fall 2010 cocktail dress that had every woman’s favorite feature–pockets/

With the peek-a-boo red lining, the mix of fabrics and subtle twist on a high/low hemline, this dress is modern and fun.

She also had some fun with her accessories, opting for cut-out Christian Louboutin ‘Martha’ shoes, a large, snakeskin Saint Laurent clutch and diamond-encrusted Harry Winston jewelry.

Charlize’s pixie cut is growing out gracefully, and her pink lips and rosy cheeks are the perfect makeup for this look.

Honestly, anything that shows off Charlize’s enviable legs is a smart decision on her part, but I really do find this whole classy-meets-edgy look to be perfection. Do you agree?

Best Dressed Of The Week - Charlize Theron In Alexander McQueen & Dev Patel In Ferragamo

Charlize Theron and Dev Patel were our best dressed this week.

We were captivated by Charlize in her elegant black Alexander McQueen gown. When she’s on this kind of form, there really is no competition—hence the win by a very long margin.

We love it when dudes step up and step out of the box; so, it was no surprise to see Dev in his rich, maroon Ferragamo suit and Matt Goss shimmering in electric-blue take the lead this week.

Dev won by just 2%, so I hope this will be a signal to menswear stylists that we want to see more colour on the red carpet.

Charlize Theron In Alexander McQueen - Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts Inaugural Gala

Charlize Theron took to the red carpet for the Wallis Annenberg Center For Performing Arts Inaugural Gala held at the Wallis Annenberg Center in Beverly Hills, California yesterday evening looking absolutely breathtaking – as she always does.

The South African actress wore an Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2013 black draped gown with the brand’s signature gold embroidered details.

Letting the gown do all the work, she opted for minimal makeup, with her blonde crop styled into a softer fringed ‘do.

A black manicure, Harry Winston jewels and a black Ferragamo clutch completed her BDOTW-worthy, jaw-dropping look.

Charlize Theron In Stella McCartney - Variety's 5th Annual Power of Women Event

Charlize Theron attended Variety’s 5th Annual Power of Women event held at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Friday afternoon, where she was honoured for starting the ‘Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project’.

The South African actress kept her look very simple wearing a cream Stella McCartney Resort 2014 python jacquard dress with an extra tied detail at the halter neckline to cover up an injury.

Her loose-fitted frock with draped sides was styled with Giuseppe Zanotti black pumps featuring a cream toe-cap, a black-and-white heart-print Stella McCartney ‘Falabella’ clutch and pearl earrings.

Charlize looks beautiful and polished as always; sporting side swept bangs in her sleek crop do, but I’m neither a fan of the clutch nor the shoes with this look.

The clutch is too big and the shoes too heavy.
