Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis attended 20th Century Fox’s special presentation highlighting its future release schedule during CinemaCon 2014, held at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Thursday (March 27) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
It was hard to get a picture of the ‘Jupiter Ascending’ co-stars apart. Perhaps Mila didn’t want the press focusing on her rumoured pregnancy.
Channing Tatum: The actor was looking mighty fine as always, decked out in a chocolate suit, light-blue shirt and blue satin tie, styled with a pair of Christian Louboutin ‘Education’ flats.
Mila Kunis: The actress kept it simple, wearing a dusty-plum Acne Studios dress, crafted from a soft crepe-silk fabric for an airy, romantic feel with beautifully detailed asymmetrical draped pleats at the back, was styled with YSL studded black pumps and Gemfields jewels.
It’s going to be quite the year for maternity dressing, with Kerry Washington, Drew Barrymore, Scarlett Johansson and Ciara all showcasing their maternity styles this spring.
The Oscars 2014 on Sunday (March 2), and the ensuing soirees, were a fashion feast for the senses, with high-wattage gowns swishing at every glam turn. But the men provided plenty of eye candy, as well, as they suited up in their sartorial best for the stylish super-event at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California followed by the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
Matthew McConaughey: The ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ Best Actor winner not only delivered a compelling acceptance speech, he also was convincingly decked out in a Dolce & Gabbana suit, Louboutin shoes and Chopard cufflinks. Always surprising us with his wild-card jackets, this one was a crispy ivory number, which he handsomely sported with a black vest, white button-down, black trousers and bowtie.
Bradley Cooper: Looking ever so dapper in a black Tom Ford tuxedo, paired with a black bow tie and Chopard cufflinks, the ‘American Hustle’ star and Best Supporting Actor nominee wore a side of handsome scruff with his classic ensemble
Pharrell Williams: Well, he wasn’t wearing the colossal hat, but the ‘Happy’ singer and nominee still turned heads with his cutoffs. The custom head-to-toe Lanvin look featured a black wool shawl-collar, one-button tuxedo with matching shorts, a white tuxedo shirt with ivory pearl buttons, a black satin bowtie and dark gray hand-polished calfskin derbies (sans socks, natch). Yay or nay?
Flexing their sartorial strength, the guys glammed up for the 2014 Golden Globe Awards, held last night (January 12) at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Here, an overview of the handsome highlights.
Matthew McConaughey: The big victor in the best actor category, the ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ star was every bit a winner on the red carpet, too. His Dolce & Gabbana three-piece tuxedo featured a surprising emerald-green velvet blazer with contrasting black peak lapels, adding a swoon-worthy twist on the standard. His touch of scruff, meanwhile, was his way of putting a casual-cool spin on this formal entrance. His wife, Camila Alves, also shone rather brightly in a glittery, black Dolce & Gabbana gown that flaunted her enviable curves.
Chris Pine: Rocking the full beard, the actor embraced the classics with an impeccably tailored Ermenegildo Zegna Couture black, peak grosgrain lapel tuxedo, white dress shirt, and black bow tie. He finished the look with Tod’s black patent loafers and a David Yurman gold pinky ring.
Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx have being busy in Europe promoting their latest movie, ‘White House Down’, starting at the Deauville American Film Festival in France, plus last night they were in Germany for the Berlin premiere.
Deauville American Film Festival photocall: The actors both wore jeans, with Channing opting for a simple black shirt and charcoal blazer and Jamie adding a patterned Givenchy shirt.
Deauville American Film Festival premiere: For the premiere the guys suited up, with Channing looking devilishly handsome in an ink-blue suit and striped tie, and Jamie looking equally debonair in midnight-blue, black combo.
Berlin premiere: While I like that Jamie switched things up at the Berlin premiere wearing a dark-chocolate blazer and grey pants, the overall look feels a size too big. I prefer the fit of the previous premiere. Channing had no such problems in his sleek black Dolce & Gabbana suit with a polka-dot tie.
Who was the better dressed? Channing, as I preferred both his premiere looks.
Here is a look at some more folks who joined Maggie Gyllenhaal on the red carpet at the Ziegfeld Theater for the ‘White House Down’ New York premiere yesterday evening.
Jamie Foxx: The actor opted for another grey suit, this time adding some flair to his look with an ice-blue silk shirt and contrasting dark-blue tie.
Channing Tatum: The actor was looking equally handsome, wearing a windowpane-check Gucci charcoal-grey suit with a white dress shirt and taupe satin tie.
Garcelle Beauvais: The actress finally joined her co-stars of the movie, going for a grander look than Maggie wearing a Memeka by Gustavo Cadile white silk-satin strapless gown with blue embroidered flowers at the hem. While I love that she accessorized with cobalt-blue statement earrings, I dislike the purple lip colour.
Maggie Gyllenhaal’s co-stars Channing Tatum, Joey King and Jamie Foxx joined the actress on the red carpet at the AMC Georgetown for the ‘White House Down’ Washington DC Premiere on Friday evening.
Channing Tatum: The new dad, who is back stateside from filming his new movie ‘Jupiter Ascending’ in London, looked very handsome wearing dark blue Gucci navy window pane notch lapel two button Signoria suit with a steel-blue shirt, black tie and dark-brown Gucci lace up shoes.
Joey King: The teen star looked totally adorable wearing a fairytale off-the-shoulder white tiered PAVONI by Mikael D. dress with gold embroidery which she styled with sparkling gold brogues.
Jamie Foxx: Working a shiny grey suit, the actor, who is so cool he had to don shades on the red carpet, styled his suit with a white dress shirt, grey tie and grey Chelsea boots.
The much-anticipated sequel ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ had its London premiere at Empire Leicester Square on Monday evening.
Channing Tatum: For the carpet, Channing sported a Gucci charcoal notch-lapel Marseille suit with a blue dress shirt. He styled the suit with a blue-and-brown striped tie and black leather lace ups. I loved the tie, but it’s the creased shirt and long pants that bother me. His pants fit well at the Oscars when he wore Gucci last so this is a bit of a let down.
Byung-hun Lee: The South Korean actor ditched the suit and showed up in a cool, casual outfit. It consisted of a black leather motorcycle jacket, black denim pants, and a pair of black leather boots. Underneath the jacket, Byung-hun dressed up his outfit with a white shirt and a black tie. I like the look, and props to Byung-hun for knowing how clothes are meant to fit, but I don’t think it’s completely appropriate for a film premiere.
Dwayne Johnson: Formerly known as The Rock, the professional wrestler turned actor arrived on the carpet looking less than stellar, to put it nicely. His navy three-piece suit looked as if it was straight off the rack. No part of it fits the way it should.
D.J. Cotrona: Looking very dapper in a black notch lapel suit, D.J. donned my favourite look of the four. It’s tailored to perfection and the 32-year-old actor wore it well. He added a white pocket square, a white shirt, and a silver tie. My only gripe with the outfit is that I would have preferred a slimmer tie. Not a skinny tie, but a narrow tie.
