‘Youth’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

youth cannes film festival premiere red carpet round up

Here is a roundup of the other attendees at the premiere of ‘Youth’ during the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday (May 20) in Cannes, France.

Chanel Iman: I’m not surprised that Chanel served up one of the few Cannes-worthy gowns from this group. The model is forever in Cannes mode with her love of pretty princess gowns. She’s clearly in her element here wearing Donna Karan Atelier – despite the long face.

Joan Smalls: The model made her first appearance on the red carpet at Cannes wearing an Alaïa white two-piece breezy look. While this is more Independent Spirit Awards than Cannes, I can’t deny how gorgeous she looks.

Models @ The 2015 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner

Models @ The 2015 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner

It wasn’t just Hollywood who came out for last night’s (April 25) 2015 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner at the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC–a host of models also made waves on the red carpet.

Chanel Iman: The model took a graceful turn in an ice blue Zuhair Murad Spring 2015 Couture gown with a plunging neckline delicate shoulder accoutrements. The elegant gown was accented with diamond Harry Kotlar jewels and Chanel went for a smokey eye and nude lip to complete her look.

Anne V:  The pregnant model showed off her burgeoning baby bump in a red floral print Altuzarra Spring 2015 gown with subtle white fringe detailing. The cut and print of the dress walk the casual/formal line, and Anne amped up the glamour with nude sandals, a high updo, bright red lips and radiant skin.

‘Dior & I’ New York Screening

'Dior & I' New York Screening

‘DIOR & I’ New York had its New York screening at Paris Theatre on Tuesday (April 7) in New York City, with several celebrity guests in attendance.

Lake Bell: The actress stood out for me, not only for her chic tuxedo inspired red Dior dress with an asymmetrical hemline, but also for those multi-coloured Christian Louboutin ‘Vagachina’ mules with a distinct cowboy boots reference.

Chanel Iman: The model married elegance with smouldering sex appeal wearing a printed Dior Resort 2015 frock, styling the look with Dior pumps which didn’t upstage her look.

Katherine Waterston: Now there is something I didn’t think I would ever see, Katherine Waterston wearing colour and a smile. While her red Dior dress has a more semi-casual appeal to it, her look isn’t any less elegant than those before her. I’m crushing over her paint splattered pumps.

Models @ The 2015 Oscar Parties

Models @ The 2015 Oscars Parties

As always, there were plenty of models on hand to provide the glamour at the Oscar parties on Sunday (February 22).

Alessandra Ambrosio: I was surprised the model didn’t jump on the sheer train; instead she selected a glamorous red gown from the Atelier Versace Spring 2015 collection. This brand of sexiest from Alessandra I can totally get on board with.

Poppy Delevingne: The British model wears a lot of Pucci frocks, having a close relationship with the designer Peter Dundas, so I was surprised no one informed her that Natasha Poly had already worn this frock. Poppy made a great impact styling the look with a choker and deep plum lip.

8th Annual ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon Red Carpet Roundup

8th Annual ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of some of the other looks from the 8th annual ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood luncheon at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel on Thursday (February 19) in Beverly Hills, California. Sadly it doesn’t include Lupita Nyong’o, who wore Peter Pilotto ‘Hendrix’ dress but decided to skip the red carpet.

Teyonah Parris: The ‘Mad Men’ actress is one person you can never miss on a red carpet. She may not be wearing a fabulous gown, but here she hits us with a bright emerald hue and modern suiting design by Kimberly Goldson. Factor in that studded clutch and lace pumps and we have yet another winning look from the actress.

Chanel Iman: As we know, Chanel loves a gown even more than Teyonah does, so even though this was a luncheon I was still shocked she didn’t stick to the tried and true. The model wore a sporty striped Jonathan Simkhai Pre-Fall 2015 racer dress styled with braided Brian Atwood ‘Olive’ sandals and a Rodo clutch.

Samira Wiley: Forgoing the ladies-who-lunch frock, the ‘Orange Is The New Black’ actress served up her own style of luncheon loveliness wearing an Azede Jean-Pierre Spring 2015 crop top and trousers featuring decorative embroidery.
