The Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards

The Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards

The Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards took place at the Platea Restaurant on Monday (July 7) in Madrid, Spain. Here’s a look at five lovely ladies who caught my eye.

Dafne Fernandez: As you know I have had a long-time crush on Dafne’s style. The Spanish actress wore a gorgeous Burberry Prorsum Pre-Fall 2014 frock with a romantic, preternaturally pretty, simple design rendered in gauzy silk georgette in a fluttering silhouette with a deep V-neck and double slits in the skirt. The look was styled with burnt-orange Roger Vivier pumps, gold jewels and a luscious red lip.

Celia Freijeiro: The actress certainly stood out in her incredibly chic Roksanda Ilincic colour-block patchwork bouclé wool dress from the designer’s Spring 2013 collection. Adding one more colour into the mix, she opted for coral peep-toes, with a black clutch rounding out her look

Natalia de Molina: I almost didn’t recognise Natalia with her new red hair and blunt bangs. Opting for a pink and black frock with a chiffon wrap-layered skirt, this look is more fun and in tune with the spirit of the magazine.

Celia Freijeiro attended the ‘Yo Dona Awards’ held at Zarzuela Hippodrome on Tuesday (June 24) in Madrid, Spain.

The actress wore a Naeem Khan floral-print chiffon halter gown with metallic beaded straps from the Resort 2014 collection.

With the print the main focus, she wrapped up her hair into a simple updo, with a selection of Suarez jewels completing her look.

Who Wore Paule Ka Better…Lily Collins or Celia Freijeiro?

Who Wore Paule Ka Better Lily Collins or Celia Freijeiro

Lily Collins attended the 15th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards wearing a Paule Ka Black Carpet 2013 Collection black gown with a striking large ivory satin bow at the back styled with wavy tresses and a hot red lip.

Celia Freijeiro wore the same dress to the Goya Awards 2014 earlier this month, perhaps over-styling the look with the Yanes tiara; plus, she added stunning drop earrings and a complementary clutch.

For keeping it simple, Lily wins for me.

Celia Frejeiro In Naeem Khan - 17th Malaga Film Festival 2014 Opening Ceremony

Celia Frejeiro graced the red carpet for the Malaga Film Festival 2014 opening ceremony held at the Cervantes Theatre on Friday (March 21) in Malaga, Spain.

She blew me away, wearing a pistachio caviar-beaded V-front empire-waist Naeem Khan Resort 2014 gown with an ostrich-feather skirt.

This look definitely has the wow factor that the previous two looks didn’t attain, bringing glamour, drama and elegance to the opening ceremony.

Sporting an updo with knots and braids, she completed her look with a gold Swarovski clutch and Yanes jewels.

Celia Freijeiro In CH Carolina Herrera – Fotogramas Magazine Awards

Celia Freijeiro In Carolina Herrera - Fotogramas Magazine Awards

Joining Nerea Garmendia and Norma Ruiz on the red carpet, Spanish actress Celia Freijeiro made a stunning appearance at the Fotogramas Magazine Awards ceremony held in Madrid, Spain, on Monday evening (February 24).

Wearing a black and white polka dot print strapless gown by CH Carolina Herrera and Christian Louboutin shoes and with her hair pulled back, Celia looked strikingly beautiful.

The Spanish actress has been quietly carving out a reputation for making vivid choices on the red carpet, and it’s really paid off. I would say this her best yet.

I also love the pop of red Celia has added with her Jimmy Choo clutch and Rabat ruby diamond earrings.

Sleek, chic and with a healthy dose of sassiness, this is just a really gorgeous look.

Celia Freijeiro In Paule Ka – Goya Cinema Awards 2014

Celia Freijeiro In Paule Ka - Goya Cinema Awards 2014

Celia Freijeiro joined a host of lovely ladies on the red carpet for the Goya Cinema Awards 2014 held at Centro de Congresos Principe Felipe on Sunday (February 9) in Madrid, Spain.

Wearing a black Paule Ka v-neck gown, I found myself wondering what’s going on at the back until she revealed an ivory satin bow.

A smaller bow or a bow angled in a way which was not revealing from the front, would’ve worked better for me, as I don’t like the way it is poking out from under her arm.

A gold clutch and Yanes jewels including a tiara completed her look.

You may remember that Lily Collins was the first to wear this dress.
