Catherine Zeta Jones put the Oscar himself to shame on the red carpet at the 2013 Oscars held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

The ‘Chicago’ star glittered in a stunning Zuhair Murad Spring 2013 Couture gown with gold art deco swirls.

Catherine long-ago mastered the art of looking sexy and classy simultaneously, and tonight, she doesn’t disappoint.

Dripping in Lorraine Schwartz jewels, gold and unadulterated sex appeal, the lovely star effortlessly wears a gown that could easily overpower a less confident woman.

Ultra long lashes are the most dramatic factor of her otherwise subtle makeup and simple, glossy waves keep the entire look in the easy glamour zone rather than moving into a more forced territory.

Catherine Zeta Jones In Michael Kors – ‘Side Effects’ New York Premiere

Joining Channing Tatum and Rooney Mara, Catherine Zeta Jones also attended the ‘Side Effects’ New York premiere held at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater yesterday evening.

The Welsh actress wore a Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2013 strapless dress with an asymmetrical hemline for the occasion.

Her black-and-nude printed lace dress, styled with a nude top-handle bag and gold sandals, was understated elegance personified.

I still shudder when I think back to her Zuhair Murad dress from last year. This is more like the regal CZJ I know and love.

Catherine Zeta Jones In Emilio Pucci – The Tonight Show with Jay Leno

Catherine Zeta Jones made a guest appearance on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ yesterday.

The 43-year-old Welsh actress, who was on the show to promote her latest flick ‘Broken City, looked stunning wearing an Emilio Pucci Fall 2011 frock.

Her plunging black dress with a lace top and a ruched skirt with asymmetrical fringed detailing was styled with black peep-toes and diamond jewels.

Possibly inspired by modern side swept waves trend from the SAG Awards, Catherine styled her raven tresses into a side-parting with loose waves.

As always Catherine brings her fashion A-game whenever she steps out, this is why my girl crush has never waned.

You may remember that Sienna Miller wore this same Pucci dress back in November of 2011.

Catherine Zeta-Jones In Jenny Packham – 2013 Golden Globe Awards

Catherine Zeta-Jones shimmered on the red carpet at the 2013 Golden Globes held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California on Sunday, but for some reason there are only pictures of her taking to the stage to present.

The Welsh actress went for eye-catching details in a sweet frock by Jenny Packham.

Catherine let the intricately detailed breath-taking light-pink flutter sleeve evening gown with silver beading speak for itself with her flawless hair and makeup, adding perfectly selected Van Cleef & Arpels jewels and silver Pelle Moda ‘Flirt’ sandals.

I am huge fan of Jenny Packham’s gowns, so I applaud this chic, effortless, classic choice.

Things that make you go ‘swoon’.

Catherine Zeta-Jones In Zuhair Murad – ‘Rock Of Ages’ LA Premiere

Catherine Zeta-Jones attended the Friday night premiere for ‘Rock Of Ages’, held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California.

I held of putting together the BDOTW poll in anticipation of this premiere, believing CJZ would give us a worthy entry. I was wrong.

Dressed in a Zuhair Murad Fall 2012 one-sleeve cocktail dress, apparently the Welsh actress thought this premiere was a fancy dress party, and she went as JLo.

She styled her nude lace dress featuring a delicate, black lace embroidered overlay and an asymmetrical hemline with black Elie Saab sandals and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Someone like CZJ doesn’t need to try so hard.

So I’m questioning why she is trying so hard?

Catherine Zeta-Jones In Michael Kors – 2012 Tribeca Film Festival Vanity Fair Party

Hollywood power couple Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas joined Dakota Fanning and Leelee Sobieski on the red carpet for the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival Vanity Fair Party in New York City, which was held at the State Supreme Courthouse last night.

Catherine wore a Michael Kors grey sequined one-shoulder jersey dress with an asymmetrical hemline.

The Welsh actress accessorized with sparkling jewels as radiant as her dress, plus she added a grey clutch to her look.

What I find baffling is her choice of gold Christian Louboutin heels.

Surely silver would’ve been the best choice. No?
