Beth Behrs In Giulietta – 2014 People’s Choice Awards

Beth Behrs In Giulietta - 2014 People's Choice Awards

Event co-host Beth Behrs hit the red carpet of the 40th annual People’s Choice Awards at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles tonight.

The ‘2 Broke Girls’ actress wore a strapless black and white Giulietta gown from the Spring 2014 collection showcasing a huge spring trend.

She paired the simply chic gown with strappy Rene Caovilla pumps and David Webb jewels.

She completed the look with a soft updo and a bright pink lip.

As the night’s co-host, there will be quite a few costume changes for Beth throughout the night–what do you think of this as her choice for the red carpet?

Lucy Hale In Gabriela Cadena – 2014 People’s Choice Awards

Lucy Hale In Gabriela Cadena - 2014 People's Choice Awards

Lucy Hale made a colourful splash on the red carpet of the 40th annual People’s Choice Awards, hosted Wednesday evening (January 8) at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

The ‘Pretty Little Liars’ starlet, who is also up for the Favourite Cable TV Actress prize, wore an asymmetrical, one-shoulder design from Gabriela Cadena’s Spring 2014 collection in a painterly, abstract print of exploded flowers.

Taking the dress’s black sequin shoulder embellishment into consideration, she paired the dress with a crystallized black clutch and similarly sparkling, black Jerome C. Rousseau ‘Aizza’ pumps, also accessorizing with a range of jewels from Dana Rebecca Designs, EF Collection and Graziela Gems.

She completed the pretty picture with a loosely tied, low updo with face-framing tendrils, along with a smokey bronze eye and rosy mauve lip.

Although they weren’t plain-black pumps, I was still craving a more exciting shoe to match the dynamic, fun nature of those hot-pink flashes of floral in that frock. Do you agree?

Ciara In Anthony Vaccarello – 2014 People’s Choice Awards Nominations Announcement

Ciara In Anthony Vaccarello - 2014 People’s Choice Awards Nominations Announcement 2Ciara joined Rachel Bilson at the 2014 People’s Choice Awards Nominations announcement press conference yesterday at The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, California.

Like Rachel, the songstress also looked to a more warm-weather look—although hers was a darker, sexier version of sultry summer wear. She certainly grabbed her fair share of stares in a super-leggy Anthony Vaccarello Spring 2014 glam-rock ensemble.

She covered up her top half in a silk shirt and long jacket, embellished with super-sized, shiny domed buttons. But she put her pins on display with a diamond-pointed black skirt that I first nearly mistook for a napkin.

Her wavy ombre bob, smoldering bronze-tinged eye makeup, and black snakeskin-embossed, lace-up booties added the final rocker-girl flourishes.

It all made for a polished, daring and just slightly irreverent statement—she pulls it off like few others could.

Rachel Bilson In Milly – 2014 People’s Choice Awards Nominations Announcement

Rachel Bilson In Milly - 2014 People's Choice Awards Nominations Announcement

Rachel Bilson attended the People’s Choice Awards 2014 Nominations press conference held at The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, California yesterday afternoon.

While the majority of us are bundled up against the cold in sweaters and winter coats, Rachel was oozing a summer vibe not just from her marine-life Milly Spring 2014 crop top and pencil skirt, but also via her white strappy sandals and beach waves.

Yes, this dress would be more appropriate in the April-to-September months (although let’s not forget she lives in sunny California), but I can’t help but be totally hypnotized by the colour and print.

People’s Choice Awards Trend Spotting: Braided Updos

Braided Updos Trend People's Choice Awards

Heidi came out to play during last night’s 2013 People’s Choice Awards, hosted at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California—or at least her braid did. Trendsetting starlets the likes of Lea Michele, Rumer Willis, Katy Perry and Jennifer Lawrence all worked a braided updo to brilliant effect for the show.

What made the style so compelling was its contemporary spin on the traditional hair plait, translated in slightly messy and perfectly imperfect variations. Woven locks seamlessly punched through swept-back ‘dos for a fresh and edgy look.

Rumer and Jennifer allowed a few short, curled layers to fall down from their updos, framing their faces with additional softness, while Lea kept her brunette locks bound back for a sleeker vibe.

Katy took it one step further by embellishing her hair with a sparkling gold Jennifer Behr headband.

This probably won’t be the last time we see braids dominating the young Hollywood set.

2013 People’s Choice Awards Menswear Round Up

People Choice Awards Mens

While the girls had the most glamorous fun at yesterday evening’s 2013 People’s Choice Awards hosted at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California, the guys brought some serious style—and hunk factor—to the red carpet, too.

Eddie Redmayne: The ‘Les Miserables; actor still proved he was worthy to be part of our Best Ensemble Cast of 2012 with his slimline tan suit, black vest and burgundy satin pocket square. Not only was it nice to see the British actor working a colored suit, he played up his cool-boy charm with his hands-in-the-pocket pose and a tie-less shirt with the top button open.

Matt Bomer: It was 50 shades of navy for ‘White Collar’s’ handsome star, as he went for a more traditional approach with his dark inky tuxedo paired up with a lighter tie and pocket square and a blue-and-white microprint shirt. The look actually worked perfectly for Matt, especially with his own set of icy baby blues.

Liam Hemsworth: In perhaps the boldest male moment of the night, Miley Cyrus’s fiancé took a risk with his Ermenegildo Zegna burgundy suit, which he matched back to a shiny black tie and button-down shirt and a glossy patent loafer. But his verve paid off, delivering a dapper red-carpet look that was both polished and style-forward. It helped that his jacket and pants were perfectly tailored.Read More…
