Allison Williams In Armani Privé – 2018 Oscars

Allison Williams looked like the belle of the ball at the 2018 Oscars on Sunday (March 4) in Hollywood, joining Sofia Carson and Zoey Deutch.

The ‘Get Out’ actress went to the archives, donning an Armani Privé Fall 2013 gown. Some might be surprised by the decision to wear an older look, but any questions will be silenced once the grand beauty is taken in.

She always channels feminine elegance and this embellished dress has drama worthy for such a special occasion.

This is a fairy tale moment for her and I hope that this soft neutral hue is not lost in photographs or on television.

Zoey Deutch In Elie Saab Couture – 2018 Oscars

Zoey Deutch was another early arrival at the 2018 Oscars on Sunday (March 4) in Hollywood, California, joining Sofia Carson.

After a sophisticated appearance at the 2018 Film Independent Spirit Awards, the ‘Before I Fall’ actress channeled the glamour of decades gone by in an Elie Saab Spring 2016 Couture gown.

The designer is known for opulent, romantic looks and this one definitely fits into that. Rather than the sweeping skirts we’ve come to expect, the frills have been cut close to the body for a sleek finish.

Sheer details have proven to be irksome to many throughout awards season but the unlined panels add a coquettish allure against the heavy embellishment.

Sofia Carson In Giambattista Valli – 2018 Oscars

Sofia Carson was one of the first on the red carpet at the 2018 Oscars at the Hollywood & Highland Center on Sunday (March 4) in Hollywood, California.

She made a grand entrance in a Giambattista Valli Resort 2018 gown, which flowed across the carpet thanks to the ruffled cape.

I was equally entranced at it motion as I was when she was standing still. The rich red hue against the Chopard jewels enhanced the majestic quality.

What a way to start off the night.

Sara Bareilles In Romona Keveza, Antonio Grimaldi Couture & Maria Lucia Hohan – 2017 Oscars

Sara Bareilles had a busy night of outfit changes at the 2017 Oscars on Sunday (February 26), with a total of three looks, more than anyone else I believe.

2017 Oscars Red Carpet: Red was a hot colour of the night, and Sara put it to work for her in this Romona Keveza Spring 2017 minimalist gown that was gilded with gold Marco Bicego Jewelry.

2017 Oscars Performance: For the In Memoriam tribute, she donned an Antonio Grimaldi Couture gown that was softly striking on stage with its muted gray hue complemented by feathery, dimensional embroidery and delicate tulle layers. She accessorized with Marco Bicego Jewelry.

Alicia Vikander In Louis Vuitton – 2017 Oscars

Like Michelle Williams, Alicia Vikander continued her all-Louis-Vuitton, all-of-the-time run at the 2017 Oscars on Sunday (February 26), which she styled with Bvlgari jewelry.

I’m sure the contrasting nude undergarment put many off this black lace gown. I know took some of the gloss off for me despite the dramatic effect of the romantic tiers cascading from the hips.

Her chunky perspex heeled LV sandals keep this look fun, adding a youthful twist to a pretty, feminine look.

2017 Oscars Menswear Roundup

A handsome handful of guys also took to the red carpet for the 2017 Oscars on Sunday (February 26) in Hollywood, California.

David Oyelowo: The sharp suaveness of this Dolce & Gabbana tux, with its white dress jacket and contrast black labels, was undeniable. Christian Louboutin ‘Dada’ loafers capped off the look with a touch of polish.

Andrew Garfield: The classic black tuxedo received a slim-line, slightly cropped proportion in this Tom Ford number.

Riz Ahmed: Our third rendition of the tux came courtesy of Riz, who took his to more colourful territory in a blue Ermenegildo Zegna Couture suit accented with Montblanc studs and cufflinks and Christian Louboutin ‘Alpha Male’ shoes. For a couture piece, I would have expected a slightly more precise fit.
