Paula Patton In Nicolas Jebran Couture - 2014 Grammy Awards

Paula Patton attended the 2014 Grammy Awards held at the Staples Center on Sunday (January 26) in Los Angeles, California.

While the general consensus is that Paula’s stylist hates her, I have to say that on a night full of mostly uninspired looks Paula’s Nicolas Jebran Spring 2013 Couture gown really stood out.

The zebra-print gown with lioness motifs is just the kind of thing that only really works at the Grammys.

So while I don’t love it, it did make me take notice.

David Yurman jewels and a bouffant ponytail rounded out her look.

Iggy Azalea In Elie Saab - 2014 Grammy AwardsIggy Azalea was also in attendance at the 2014 Grammy Awards, hosted at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (January 26).

The Aussie recording artist, who recently impressed us with a Roberto Cavalli moment, was surprisingly remarkably subtle this evening.

She worked an Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2013 white embellished gown to her advantage—a look that was angelically innocent and far from wickedly over-the-top. There was certainly little evidence of the rapper’s sometimes risqué style here.

Sleekly brushed-back blonde locks, a magenta mani and a dainty pink lip rounded out the softly elegant look.

Ciara In Emilio Pucci - 2014 Grammy Awards

Ciara was another one of the metallic mavens at the 2014 Grammy Awards, held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (January 26).

The pregnant songstress was glowing and so, too, was this scintillating custom bronze gown by Emilio Pucci, which effectively showed off her burgeoning baby bump.

Sequinned and beaded from top to bottom with allover embellishment in the designer’s signature decorative pattern, this dress was a dazzling statement piece.

Given the complexity of the ensemble, Ciara kept her styling simple with naturally radiant makeup, a nude lip and a loosely pulled-back ’do.

Zendaya Coleman walked the red carpet at the 2014 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (January 26).

The singer/actress wore a skirt and blouse combination from Emanuel Ungaro Spring 2014.

Zendaya looked perfectly on-trend in a sheer black blouse with oversized pockets, which she wore all buttoned up. The sophisticated top was paired with an airy teal and black polka dotted skirt. She completed her red carpet look with minimalist black heels and a box clutch

For beauty, Zendaya wore her hair up with a sultry smokey eye and nude lip.

This top and skirt look is not typical for an award ceremony, but I thought the look was playful and fresh. Do you agree?

Taylor Swift In Gucci Première - 2014 Grammy Awards

Four-time nominee Taylor Swift was every bit a statuesque golden girl at the 2014 Grammy Awards, even before the show got underway at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (January 26).

While the popular songstress stayed very much in her comfort zone of sparkle and shine, she still stunned in a Gucci Première gold lamé, short-sleeve fitted gown featuring a crystal mesh overlay and crystal gemstone detail at the neckline, arms and waist.

She likened the dress to ‘chainmail’ on the red carpet, and what a flashy suit of armor it was—especially with those diamond earrings.

Softening the glittery effect, she pulled her blonde locks into a side-parted ponytail and painted on a pretty pink pout.

Expected? Perhaps. Experimental? No. But, still lovely.
