Cate-Blanchett-Interview-Ellen-DeGeneres-Post-Oscars-Show

Cate Blanchett made a guest appearance on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ on Monday (March 3) post-Oscars, where she talked about being exhausted now that awards season is over (although she looked flawless), plus she explained that she was bummed that she missed the Academy Awards pizza party.

Looking as stylish as ever, especially for one who had had little sleep following the Oscar parties, the Australian actress wore a Roland Mouret halter-neck black jumpsuit featuring elasticated side panels that cinch the waist, a gold-exposed-zipper front and a knotted strap detail at the open back.

The sleeveless look was styled with a black blazer, black strappy sandals and a little gold statue.

Cate Blanchett In Armani Prive - 2014 Oscars

Cate Blanchett glided down the red carpet at the 2014 Oscars held the Hollywood & Highland Center on Sunday (March 2) in Hollywood, California like a graceful swan.

It was a no-brainer that she would wear Armani Prive once again, as she usually turns to the Italian designer for the grand occasions.

I love how she brought some romance to the red carpet wearing a soft gold-coloured cap-sleeve gown featuring a long, flared tulle skirt with crinoline edging, fully embroidered with raised dégradé sequins and light gold Swarovski crystal baguettes.

As if the gown wasn’t embellished enough, she added some dazzling Chopard jewels, including a pair of opal drop earrings that I’m sure cost a pretty penny.

Along with Lupita Nyong’o and Amy Adams, she gave me goosebumps living up to the occasion and surpassing expectations.

Cate Blanchett In Stella McCartney - Sony Pictures Classics Pre-Oscar Dinner

Cate Blanchett attended the Sony Pictures Classics Pre-Oscar dinner held at STK restaurant on Saturday (March 1) in Los Angeles, California, following the Film Independent Spirit Awards where she picked up the Best Actress award.

On this occasion she toned down the colour, opting for a black-and-white Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2014 one-shoulder jumpsuit, tailored for a loose but elegant fit.

Her styling was kept just as simple with black sandals and a black-and-white clutch.

Looking as regal as ever, she swept her hair up into a chic updo.

Cate Blanchett In Roksanda Ilincic - Film Independent Spirit Awards 2014

Cate Blanchett took to the ‘blue’ carpet at the 2014 Film Independent Spirit Awards at Santa Monica Beach in Santa Monica, California today (March 1).

The ‘Blue Jasmine’ actress and Best Female Lead nominee put forth a fashion-forward entrance, donning a Roksanda Ilincic Fall 2014 felt dress that fused large, colour-block panels of burgundy and sand accented with a cornflower-blue flower shape.

Cinched with the shine of a significant, gold metallic belt, which obviously precluded the need for jewels, the relaxed, above-the-ankle silhouette took on a mod urban appeal.

Creamy nude Nicholas Kirkwood cutout sandals put the directional look on casually chic ground, whereas a metallic pair would have taken it to a dressier level. I’m just glad she skipped the runway footwear for this occasion.

With her hair loosely pulled back into a fishtail braid and with barely the slick of makeup to her name, I love how effortlessly Cate pulls off this trendsetting look, taking it into timelessly elegant territory, as well.

Cate Blanchett In Armani Privé - Giorgio Armani Celebrates Martin Scorsese And Paolo Sorrentino

Cate Blanchett attended the Giorgio Armani special celebration honoring Martin Scorsese and Paolo Sorrentino hosted by Roberta Armani at the Giorgio Armani Flagship Boutique on Friday (February 28) in Beverly Hills, California.

This was the Australian actress’ second Couture gown of the evening.

For this occasion she wore a shimmering black Armani Prive Fall 2012 jumpsuit with colourful beadwork that I has been on my red carpet wish list for a while.

Oozing charm, elegant and sophistication, the neckline was slightly modified which I found surprising considering her Givenchy gown at the AACTA Awards had a very deep plunge.

Opting for a flawless dewy glow, she completed her look with an updo and black clutch.

Of her two looks, this is my favourite. Which Cate Couture look do you favour?

Cate Blanchett In Valentino Couture - Rodeo Drive Walk Of Style Awards Ceremony

Cate Blanchett attended the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Awards Ceremony held yesterday evening (February 28) at Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills, California.

The ‘Blue Jasmine’ actress rose to the stylish occasion by opting for a taupe tasselled Valentino Spring 2014 Couture dress.

This was a dress that skewed the glitz and drama of typical award ceremony dresses and instead offered a whole new take with its exquisite craftsmanship.

Just like the runway, Cate kept the styling minimal. While I can imagine this being worn with flats and bohemian jewellery, Cate added polish with a chic up do and strong eye-make-up.  My only change would have been to add some sparkling jewellery such as an ear cuff or cocktail ring.

To me it doesn’t necessarily have serious wow factor but it does have some sort of ethereal quality and Cate’s glowing complexion really gives it a lift.

I always find a delight and sense of excitement in Cate’s sartorial choices and this just proves how different her style is. But what do you think?
