Cate Blanchett In Louis Vuitton – Maison Louis Vuitton Roma Etoile Opening Party

Cate Blanchett attended the Maison Louis Vuitton Roma Etoile opening party on Friday evening in Rome, Italy.

We have seen Cate wearing a look from the Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 collection, so considering that one look from said collection pretty much represent them all; I’m not surprised she picked a look from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection.

Her grey knit sleeveless dress embellished with bronze and gold sequins has a ivory silk tiered and ruffled skirt.

Whilst her hair and makeup are flawless, I’m not so enamoured by her Louis Vuitton champagne coloured, bow front peep-toes. The toe-cap pumps the model is wearing are much more complementary.

A gold metallic Sofia Coppola for Louis Vuitton Pochette completed her look.

Love it or loathe it?

I’m on the fence.

The shoes really pull down the look. I’m also missing the furry, embellished collar but Cate made the right choice by not wearing it on the red carpet.

Cate Blanchett In Louis Vuitton – Louis Vuitton Maison Australia Opening

Cate Blanchett was on hand to help Louis Vuitton open a new boutique in Sydney, Australia earlier today.

The talented actress and object of my affection wore a Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 dress.

As much as I want to say I love this look, I just can’t.

Like Dita von Teese, Cate’s lip colour prevents her from being washed out by this white embroidered dress with a sheer overlay, but the dress itself is the issue.

The high neckline on the overlay bothers me. It feels like they forgot to cut the ‘V’ into it.

I don’t think this look is doing anything for her.

There are so many other looks I would’ve preferred from this collection for Cate. This would’ve been the last, behind the argyle romper – I kid.

White Louis Vuitton ‘Merry Go Round’ pumps, as worn by SJP earlier this week, complete her look.

Love or loathe?

Cate Blanchett In Armani Privé – Front Row @ Armani Privé

This morning I attended the Armani Privé Fall 2011 presentation in Paris.

It was first my opportunity to see Cate Blanchett up close, and she more than lived up to expectations.

Some celebrities can fail to live up to their status in real life, but the Queen was just as regal, poised, charming and totally captivating in real life.

The paparazzi went crazy as the Australian actress glided into the Théâtre National de Chaillot wearing an Armani Privé Spring 2011 red skirt suit with red organza cuffs.

Her look was slightly modified, as her version didn’t have the peplum detail we saw on the runway.

Cate’s look was accessorized with matching Armani Privé accessorize and fire stone earrings.

Cate Blanchett In Giorgio Armani – 2011 Sydney Film Festival Opening Night Screening of “Hanna”

Cate Blanchett graced the red carpet this evening in Australia for the Sydney Film Festival opening night screening of “Hanna.”

The red carpet Queen opted for blush double-breasted suit by her favourite designer Giorgio Armani.

Her Fall 2011 suit was paired with different pants to those presented on the runway.

Whilst I prefer the cut and darker shade of the runway pants, wider pants appear to be Cate’s preferred choice as she’s sported this look on the red carpet before.

Metallic pointy pumps and that graceful regal air which I adore completed her look.

Cate Blanchett In Givenchy – Romance Was Born Spring/Summer 2011/2012 Presentation

Cate Blanchett attended the Romance Was Born Spring/Summer 2011/2012 presentation at the State Library Of New South Wales on Sunday in Sydney, Australia.

You may remember that Cate introduced us to Romance Was Born in her Harper’s Bazaar Australia May 2011 editorial.

I hope Cate jumped on a plane to New York straight after this presentation in order for her to attend the Met Gala tonight. Fingers crossed.

Cate is having a bit of a Givenchy moment.

She wowed us at the Oscars in Givenchy Couture and on this occasion she opted for a Pre-Fall 2011 look.

Her Givenchy two-tone olive charmeuse dress has a short sleeved pleated puffy blouse and a fitted skirt with a ruffle falling from the neckline.

Black tights, black shoes and a black clutch completed her look.

It’s winter in Australia so I won’t be too hard on Cate. If she had to opt for tights I would’ve preferred the runway colour.

Cate Blanchett’s Editorial For Harper’s Bazaar Australia May 2011

I knew the rest of Cate Blanchett’s editorial with Harper’s Bazaar Australia would be just as breath-taking as the cover.

The Australian actress wears Romance Was Born throughout the editorial which was shot by Will Davidson.

She tells Harper’s Bazaar that the fashion friendship is evolving into a collaboration set for the stage.

Cate has invited Romance Was Born to design the costumes for the upcoming production Edward Gant’s Amazing Feats of Loneliness, written by award-winning Scottish playwright Anthony Neilson.

I wonder if she will also wear the Australian designers on the red carpet too.

You can read her interview with Harper’s Bazaar at

I knew the full length version of the cover would look amazing.
