Cate Blanchett In Chloé – Women In Film 2014 Crystal + Lucy Awards

Cate Blanchett In Chloé - Women In Film 2014 Crystal + Lucy Awards

Cate Blanchett attended the Women In Film 2014 Crystal + Lucy Awards at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza on Wednesday (June 11) in Century City, California where she collected the 2014 Crystal Award for Excellence in Film.

The actress wore an ultra-feminine piece from Chloé, who do soft hues and pretty, cascading ruffles oh so very well.

Everything about this look is light and effortless, from the dress itself to the styling and the makeup.

If you look a little closer, you can see that Cate broke up the ivory hue with a pair of Lorraine Schwartz brown diamond and turquiose leaf earrings, with a chic updo and gold Jimmy Choo ‘Doodle’ sandals completing the look.

Cate Blanchett In Chanel – ‘How To Train Your Dragon 2′ Sydney Premiere

Cate Blanchett In Chanel - 'How To Train Your Dragon 2' Sydney Premiere

Following the LA premiere for ‘How To Train Your Dragon 2′ with American Ferrera on Sunday evening, Cate Blanchett took up the Australian leg of the tour earlier today (June 9), attending the Sydney premiere held at Event Cinemas George Street.

The Australian actress kept up the colourful embellished bodice trend she started at the Cannes Film Festival premiere, this time donning a Chanel Resort 2015 flared-sleeve black frock.

Her dress, which also features buttoned detailing going down both sides of the skirt, was styled with simple black pumps and little else in the way of jewels or a clutch.

She just let the dress and that heart-warming smile do all the work.

We weren’t too enamoured with her previous Givenchy gown, so how does this look fare?

Best Dressed Of The Week – Blake Lively in Gucci Première, Cate Blanchett In Armani Privé, Ryan Reynolds in Gucci & Benedict Cumberbatch in Ralph Lauren

BDOTW Cannes

With so much going on this weekend I almost forgot to announce who was best dressed of the week.

Well, it was a two-way tie between Blake Lively in Gucci Première and Blake Lively in Gucci Première. While I believed her opening ceremony gown was the better of the two, it would appear you guys loved them both equally.

My choice was the great Cate Blanchett in Armani Privé. What can I say; it’s a match made in fashion heaven.

When it came to the fellas, you gave Ryan Reynolds in Gucci the top honour this week. I, on the other hand, was swept away by Benedict Cumberbatch in his impeccable Ralph Lauren Black Label suit.

Cate Blanchett In Armani Privé – Vanity Fair And Armani Party

Cate Blanchett In Armani Privé - Vanity Fair And Armani Party

Cate Blanchett attended the Vanity Fair And Armani Party held during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival on Saturday (May 17) in Cap d’Antibes, France.

Looking regal wearing Armani Privé, the actress didn’t add too many accessories to detract from her stunning dress.

I love the lightly embellished detailing, the gold lace overlay and that barely seen organza peplum detail which cascades down the back.

Sadly, no full-length picture is available, but I’m sure she was perfection from head to toe. This is Cate Blanchett, after all.

Cate Blanchett In Givenchy - ‘How To Train Your Dragon 2? Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Cate Blanchett attended the Cannes Film Festival premiere for ‘How To Train Your Dragon 2′ this evening (May 16) following the photocall earlier in the day.

The actress wore a Givenchy Fall 2014 gown with an embellished multi-coloured bodice, sheer illusion back and black pleated skirt.

I want to be blown away – I really, really do – and had this been her first look this week I may have been, but had something more ethereal in mind plus I wasn’t a huge fan of this collection.

In short, I like the look, especially the sapphire chandelier Chopard earrings, but I don’t love it.

What say you?
