Red Carpet Fashion Awards

“So You Think You Can Dance” host Cat Deeley was in London tonight for the launch of Links of London’s Autumn/Winter 2010 collection.

The party was in celebration of Cat’s role as global brand ambassador.

The British TV presenter has been wearing a lot of mini dresses lately, but tonight she opted for a Emilio Pucci printed jersey fishtail gown from the Fall 2010 collection.

Cat’s a tall girl, but the hunch-over pose pours cold water on this look for me.

Had she stood tall I would’ve been more inclined to go gaga over this look, but the pose throws me off.

Strappy sandals would’ve also been preferred to pointy pumps.

“So You Think You Can Dance” host Cat Deeley was flying the flag for British fashion at two events in LA this weekend.

On Friday night she attended the “2010 Entertainment Weekly And Women In Film Pre-Emmy Party”.

The British TV presenter looked stunning wearing a classic Jenny Packham LBD with a twist.

I love her black ‘art-deco’ beaded sheath dress, the details are exquisite.

You’ll be happy to learn that her dress has a nude underlay.

Cat also wore Jenny Packham to “The Art of Elysium’s 2nd Annual Genesis Awards” on Saturday night.

This time she opted for something even more dazzling than her previous look, wearing a web-like crystal encrusted Jenny Packham Spring 2010 dress with an ice-blue satin underlay.

I like the dress, but I’m not so keen on the colour of the satin underlay nor Mongolian fur white coat.

Jimmy Choo ‘Lance’ sandals complete the look.

I prefer the black Jenny Packham dress.

Which do you prefer?

This is going to be a tough one, because I didn’t particularly like this Lanvin Spring 2010 dress on either Natalie Portman nor Cat Deeley.

The only person who seemed to make this look work was the model.

Natalie was the first to attempt to pull off this tricky look when she attended the 2010 New York City Ballet Spring Gala back in March.

She tried to dazzle in this look by pairing her look with an out of place black Lanvin clutch, a bejeweled belt and strappy sandals but none of it worked for me.

Cat Deeley recently wore the same dress on “So You Think You Can Dance”.

She went for the less is more approach simply adding Jimmy Choo ‘Private’ sandals.

For simply allowing the dress to do the talking Cat wins for me.

“So You Think You Can Dance” host Cat Deeley was one of the stars invited to InStyle’s Summer Soiree in LA last night.

The British presenter flashed us that cute smile which we all adore as she posed in her gorgeous J. Mendel Spring 2010 dress.

The white and peach tulle dress is festooned with a ruffle detail on the hip which cascades down her skirt.

I kinda wish she’d pulled her hair back, as it feels like it competing for attention again the detail on her skirt, but that could just be down to her pose.

Jimmy Choo silver heels complete the look.

Do you love this look as much as I do?

Would you like to see this up for BDOTW?

De Ja Vu Dress Award
Cat Deeley may have been one of of the oldest stars to walk the red carpet at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards last night, but she held her own against the kids.

The British TV presenter wore a very familiar Preen asymmetrical dress from the Resort 2010 collection.

Her white hot one shoulder bandage dress has a lace-up shoulder, pleated tulip skirt and gold exposed zip at back. This dress was paired with matching cut-out heels.

Neon pink toe nail varnish, multi-coloured bracelets and an aqua blue Jimmy Choo Candy acrylic clutch were the pops of colour added to inject a spark to her look.

Unfortunately the colour pops feel overloaded and too contrived.

Just one pop would’ve sufficed.

The 2010 Teen Choice Awards airs on FOX today at 8:00-10:00 PM (ET/PT).
