October 21st, 2009

Zoe Saldana glowed as always wearing a Calvin Klein Spring 2010 ivory dress.

The dress which is gathered on the skirt to give it some shape was paired with gold accessories.

Jenna Dewan was one of my favourites on this red carpet, as she dazzled me wearing a stunning Edition by Georges Chakra Fall 2009 grey ombre dress with sequin bodice.

Black t-bar Louboutin’s and a black clutch complete this gorgeous look.

Theron’s mini me, Katie Cassidy looked sophisticated and demure wearing an ivory Lela Rose Spring 2010 halter dress which had a metallic silver print and waist band.

Her hair was loosely pulled back as she paired her dress with silver Jimmy Choo “Flynn” sandals.

Fabulous as always.

At first I didn’t quite like Juilanne Moore’s Calvin Klein Spring 2010 ivory, grey and black tank dress at first, but it’s slowing growing on me.

It’s not BDOTW worthy, but she makes it work for her.

I do love the texture.

Diane Kruger opted for a cute short sleeved Balenciaga blue, white and black printed dress with draping around the hips to define the waist.

I like the shape of her dress and the polka dot tights don’t bother me, but I so would’ve referred her to wear the runway version.

There has been a lot of rumors that Renee Zellweger and Carolina Herrera have parted ways, but this cherry red strapless pencil dress screams Carolina Herrera to me.

I love the bow detail on the back, which is accented with an gold jewel detail.

Becki Newton looks divine wearing a ivory corseted Dolce & Gabbana strapless dress with a flirty chiffon skirt.

I love her silver strappy sandals, but I’m drooling over her Chloe bow embellished clutch.

One of my many pet peeves are exposed bra’s - anywhere - this is not exclusive to the red carpet.

If Katie Holmes was going to show us her bra under her black sheer Azzedine Alaia ensemble she could’ve at least worn a push up bra.

Emily Blunt wore a nude tulle strapless Dolce & Gabbana nude strapless dress with a grosgrain waist belt tied into a cute bow.

Her accessories were very complementary to her look without being to matchy matchy.

Robin Wright Penn wore an Emporio Armani black tuxedo jacket and black satin skinny trousers, paired with open-toe Christian Louboutin heels.

I hope she reverts back to those wow-factor looks we saw from her at Cannes.

Dianna Agron wore a strapless D&G tulle dress with Burberry Prorsum platform heels.

These heels are so heavy for this pretty dress.

Brenda Strong’s black David Meister sheath dress is accented by an amazing crystal beaded neckline.

I could gush about that stunning neckline all day, as it’s so pretty.

Sofia Vassilieva looked so cute, in her age appropriate Ina Soltani white party dress with black leather strap details.

The lucky teen got to wear stunning Swarovski jewelry with her fabulous dress.

Another teen cutie Miranda Cosgrove wore a Vena Cava Mandala dress.

The two-tone crew-neck silk dress features a sheer chiffon yoke and asymmetrical metallic fringe and chiffon ruffles on the body.

I love the embellishments on this dress.

Cat Deeley normally always looks fabulous, but on this occasion she looks a hot mess.

Leave this look to those trashy D Listers Cat, you’re way better than this.

Whilst I don’t particularly have a problem with what Amber Rose to this event because she will never look anything but tacky to me, I did have a huge issue with her Ocotber Elle US magazine editorial which was more Maxim than Elle.

Of course it was style by Kanye West.

Elle, seriously, what were you thinking?

I don’t think I have ever said this before in reference to Ashlee Simpson, but I LOVE what she is wearing.

Usually her look has a “I Wannabe In The Band” type of vibe to it, but here she channels a very cute, feminine summery look that I just can’t get enough of.

Her strapless shimmering champagne coloured Jill Stuart playsuit is so chic, which she pairs with pearls, a white Dolce & Gabbana clutch and grey Brian Atwood heels.

For me the best dressed at this event.

Katie Cassidy wore a modified Balenciaga leopard print dress from the Fall 2009 collection.

I love the draping detail around the hips defining the waist, with her bold multi-coloured clutch and silver strappy heels. I’m really happy black pumps are not in this picture.

I don’t know who Yvonne Strahovski is, but I knew it only took me 2 seconds to fall in love with her cute ensemble.

Her Camilla & Marc Spring 2008 striped blazer with her ivory skirt and blood red shoes has a Ralph Lauren feel to it.

Love it.

Jessica Stroup shows a bit of her sassy side wearing a shortened black strapless Rachel Roy Fall 2009 dress with lace panels.

She paired her dress with Stella McCartney black heels and a matching Sergio Rossi clutch.

I’ve loving how her bob is constantly evolving. I can barely remember how she looked with longer hair.

Jessica is neck and neck with Ashley Greene as my favourite red carpet newbie this year.

I go back and forth with everyone who wears Herve Leger. I know many of you wish these bandages dresses were burned, but some do look great.

This isn’t one of those times. Eliza Dushku is a busty lady and this type of dress doesn’t flatter.

I preferred this Herve Leger armor-trim dress on the runway with one strap rather than two, but I do love the YSL tribute sandals which complement the dress well.

Eliza also carried a bright colourful clutch.

“Lost” actress Emilie de Ravin has been MIA from the red carpet for a long while, but she makes a spectacular return wearing a beautiful ivory lace Max Azria Fall 2009 mini dress.

The runway dress is styled have more of a tougher edge, but Emile’s fully lined version appears softer although she added a studded belt to prevent her look from being too sickly sweet.

Like Alexa Chung, Cat Deeley is flying the flag for us Brits in the US but her chic style is more to my liking.

Cat wore British brands via her a white crochet Jaeger dress paired with tan Mulberry sandals.

Our English rose glows so beautifully, with clean golden locks.

Jennifer Morrison opted for a strapless orange Sonia Rykiel dress with a folded neckline and a voluminous skirt.

I love the bright colour and the cute braided hairstyle.

She pairs her look with a Raven Kauffman Couture clutch.

Miranda Cosgrove has such an infectious smile it’s hard not to love her.

The actress walked the red carpet wearing a Vena Cava Narthex tiered dress.

The brushstroke-print tiers on the bodice and hem adds a touch of colour to the cream sleeveless dress.

Dania Ramirez opted for a white Dolce & Gabbana trademark strapless bustier dress with a eyelet skirt and bright yellow heels.

Krysten Ritter wore red strappy sandals with her midnight blue Proenza Schouler quilted bustier dress.

The dress has a quilted silk charmeuse bustier with perfectly complements the voluminous pleated silk faille skirt.

Sanaa Lathan looked radiant wearing a Tadashi Shoji Fall 2009 hyacinth print chiffon one-shoulder dress.

Jordana Brewster’s Reem Acra Fall 2009 gold leaf jacquard halter dress with black belt, ensure she stood out amongst everyone else who opted for a more summery look.

Garcelle Beauvais opted for a full-length one-shouldered pale pink dress with a coral floral print.

She paired her dress with gold, a tan clutch and coral hooped earrings.

Maggie Grace is always so graceful.

I love her one-shouldered dress with a Dries van Noten Spring 2009-esqe mosaic print.

I’m really not keen on Shenae Grimes’ make-up, but her navy zipper trimmed Isabel Lu dress is cute.

Her look is paired with Miu Miu heels and a Kotour clutch.

Radha Mitchell wore a floaty floral vintage Cardinali dress and vintage KJL bangle from Decades Inc., paired with a Bottega Veneta clutch.

The white sunglasses and wedges add to the summery look she was going for.

Jessica Lucas wore a beautiful emerald one-shouldered Jay Godfrey Resort 2010 dress with a black waistband.

The “Melrose Place” actress accessorized with black pumps, a black clutch and a Swarovski bracelet.

The fashion roller coaster that is Lynn Collins takes another nose dive.

Although I do like the dress and the bright pink lips, the rest of the look feels alien the dress.

The hair is really granny-ifed and the Jeffrey Campbell Potion Ankle Boots - which are very similar to the Opening Ceremony boots - are very rock chick making this look too busy for me.

March 10th, 2009

International party girl, Mischa Barton was one of the many celebrities invited to attend the landmark Grand Opening of Atlantis, The Palm Resort, in Dubai last year.

She arrived on the red carpet with designer Matthew Williamson, wearing a one-shouldered gown from his Fall 2008 collection.

The silk lame gown was stunning, with a floral print, which Mischa wore with a few gold accessories.

TV personality Cat Deeley made a cardinal sin, by wearing a re-run to the 2009 Vanity Fair Oscar Party. There is one thing you and I hate, and that’s re-run on big occasions. There should be no excuse.

But in saying that Cat does wear it better, because her hair is all pulled back, therefore you get to see the ruffled detail on her shoulder, which Mischa covers with her hair.

I still don’t get why this was presented with a coat on the runway.

“Late Show With David Letterman”, New York

Kristin Davis wore a beautiful Michael Kors Fall 2008 floral print sheath dress, with a lavender crocodile waist belt, for her appearance on Letterman this week.

She teamed her dress with a pair of Christian Louboutin Marilou woven slingbacks.

I love her crocodile “Kelly-esqe” handbag.

“American Idol” Season 7 Grand Finale, LA

TV presenter and long-time suffering girlfriend of Simon Cowell, Terri Seymour, wore a stunning multi coloured floral print Balenciaga dress, with lavender Alexander McQueen square toe pumps.

Most definitely the best look of the night.

Ashley Tisdale appears to be shrinking before our very eyes. The High School Musical actress wore a black silk embroidered top with linen trousers.

She accessorized her look with turquoise beads, a racing green Balenciaga bag and Christian Louboutin Privatita pumps.

Carrie Underwood wore a Zuhair Murad Spring 2008 teal empire waist cocktail dress with intricate embroidery on the bodice, with lace detail on the skirt.

She completed her look with a pair of Christian Louboutin Anemone stiletto pumps and a black Irma clutch by Daniel Swarovski.

Season 6 winner Jordin Sparks, opted for a lace maxi tank dress.

Unfortunately the singer is still sporting those red streaks in her hair.

On stage and backstage Jordin wore a gold lamé Prada Spring 2008 dress with Christian Louboutin Very Noeud slingbacks.

American Idol judge Paula Abdul, wore a red Alan Del Rosario gown that surprisingly does not offend me. Paula is not known for her great sense of style, so I will give her much kudos for this look.

Teri Hatcher accessorized her black and white Badgley Mischka Resort 2008 dress with a Mary Norton clutch. The black brocade fold-over clutch with embroidered pearl detail, worked well with the detail on her bodice.

TV presenter Cat Deeley opted for a silk black halter-neck and black pants combo. A very muted choice for the usually colour-living Brit.

Actress Joely Fisher looks nice with her family…yada yada yada….More importantly when did Prada bring out the Fairy bag in pink?

I adored the white version, but this is very cute also.

Fantasia Barrino….? I am speechless. I will let this holy hot mess speak for itself.

“I Am Because We Are” Premiere, Cannes

Sharon Stone wears this stunning black Marchesa halter-neck gown with gold and black sequined details.

I wish she would do something with her hair.

Roberto Cavalli Party, Cannes

Mary J Blige may not have a movie to promote in Cannes, but that did not stop her partying on Roberto Cavalli’s yacht last night.

The singer wore a black and white printed haltered gown, with the signature Roberto Cavalli gold serpent clasp on the front.

Eva Herzigova wore this white romantic tiered Roberto Cavalli Fall 2008 tank dress, with a large white braided belt with a wooden buckle.

Petra Nemcova is stunning and shoe-less in this baby pink Roberto Cavalli halter-neck pleated silk and chiffon gown.

Effortlessly beautiful.

Made Of Honor Premiere, Madrid

Michelle Monaghan continues her love affair with the Bill Blass Fall 2008 collection.

This stunning double bowed ivory strapless dress, perfectly complimented her co-star, Patrick Dempsey’s Versace suit.

Maxim’s “Hot 100″ 2008 Party, LA

There was once a time when this event was littered with A list celebrities. Now? Not so much.

Amanda Bynes wore a black strapless cocktail dress with a silver clutch and matching shoes.

Reality TV star Audrina Patridge wore the very popular Herve Leger Adelisa strapless dress.

Christina Milian keeps the green theme going from her hooped earrings, to her dress, to her shoes.

Oh how the mighty have fallen.

First her solo gig tanks, then she had to crawl back to PCD, and now Nicole Scherzinger reduced to attending this D - if not F - list event in a shapeless dress.

May 6th, 2008

It looks like the Burberry’s Creative Designer Christopher Bailey took some inspiration for Cat Deeley’s feathery black dress, which she wore to the Costume Institute Gala last night from Mary-Kate Olsen’s feathery (some say Lily et Cie, some say Giambattista Valli) dress which she wore to the same event last year.

Uncannily similar, and both accentuated with a black belt.

Even the pose in this picture is the same.

“What Happens in Vegas” Premiere, LA

Cameron Diaz looked gorgeous in Zac Posen red knit dress with bow belt and black stiletto shoes. I admire her taking to the red carpet so soon after her loss.

Ashton is wearing Gucci.

Lake Bell sparkles in this ultra short Stella McCartney mini dress.

This caramel Monique Lhuillier Pre-Fall 2008 strapless dress with a nipped in waist, is gorgeous against Eva Longoria olive skin.

She teams her dress with gold shoes and a gold clutch.

Tamera Mowry ensemble very sexy secretary with red heels.

Bai Ling looks like she has been caught in a spiders web.

Lavender Trust’s 10th Anniversary Party, London

Thandie Newton shows off her assets in this plunge-neck Roberto Cavalli Fall 2008 gypsy inspired drop waist maxi dress.

Perfection as always.

BAFTA/LA’s British Comedy Awards, LA

Ashley Jensen glams herself up in this cerulean blue satin dress.

Cat Deeley looks stunning as always in this red asymmetric ruffle hemmed dress.

Joss Stone looks great for a change, and I am glad she decided to wear shoes this time.

“The Babysitter” Premiere, New York

I am very impressed with Cynthia Nixon’s check dress. Maybe being in the company of SJP has given her the desire to make an effort on the red carpet again.

MTV TRL, New York

Brown Jeans? Really?

I never knew such a thing existed. It is bad enough that Alicia Keys jeans are brown, but they are also faded, just to increase the eek factor.

I love her hair, hoops and Louis Vuitton sunglasses though.

Her tangerine top is by Catherine Malandrino, her jeans are Akademics and her shoes are Giuseppi Zanotti.

TV Guide’s Sexiest Stars 2008, LA

Jennifer Love Hewitt is a sexy star in this silver embellished Philosophy Di Alberta Ferretti dress.

Newlywed Tia Mowry is still feeling like the bride, in this white plunge-neck mini dress.

I love the crop, as it now helps me distinguish her from her sister.

Iron Man Premiere, London

Gwyneth Paltrow did not let me down.

Her apparent shoe fetish continued on the red carpet last night, as she debuted yet another pair of sky-high heels, this time they were a Alexander McQueen satin square toe pumps.

What I think has surprised us all this week, is that Gwynie is usually very demurely dressed, so this sexier look is a refreshing change.

Again last night - like all week - she wowed us in a Balmain Fall 2008 lace mini dress and a tuxedo jacket with satin lapels.

I am glad she wore the tuxedo, as I am not crazy about the lace sleeves on the dress.

“I Am Because We Are” Premiere, New York

I knew when I saw the gypsy-inspired Gucci Fall 2008 collection, that it would not translate well for everyone on the red carpet.

Camilla Belle managed to pull it off, but Madonna? Not so much.

This drop waist Gucci Fall 2008 is not doing her any favours, as I don’t think her pale skin and the dark contrasting print work well together.

“Killer Movie” Premiere, New York

Leighton Meester is slowly becoming the one to watch on the red carpet, as she is consistently picking the right ensemble for the right occasions.

I am not usually a fan of white shoes, but her platforms are a perfect compliment to her taupe Pencey body-con dress.

BritWeek Champagne Launch, LA

TV presenter Cat Deeley is impossibly gorgeous is this white asymmetric mini dress.
