2015 Met Gala Roundup

"China: Through The Looking Glass" Costume Institute Benefit Gala - Arrivals

A flurry of even more bold names descended on red carpet of the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala, hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4), where their colourful variety of looks only contributed to this year’s fashion extravaganza.

Anna Wintour
: As the gala co-host, the ‘Vogue’ editor-in-chief dressed thematically (for her, anyway) in a Chanel Spring 2015 Couture gown featuring dimensional, all-over poppy embroidery, which had been lengthened from the runway’s original shorter version. She should have maintained her signature cap sleeve, as the flower petal statement shoulders translated as a bit cumbersome, despite their inherent artistry.

Bee Shaffer: Like her mother, Bee also found inspiration in flowers, opting for a mahogany blossom gown by Alexander McQueen. I much preferred this look to Anna’s, especially with the enchantment of the beautifully embroidered Chinese cranes that alighted down the back of the dress.

Cassie In Anthony Vaccarello – GQ Men of the Year Party

Cassie Ventura arrived at the GQ Men of the Year party held at the Chateau Marmont in California last night without her beau, P. Diddy.

She is the latest celeb to fall in love with the Anthony Vaccarello Fall 2012 collection.

Her black maxi dress, featuring one long sleeve, a side slit, a cross-over waistband detail and a gold metallic panel covering one boob, was styled with black Jimmy Choo sandals.

While this is a good look for Cassie, it is also a very predictable one. I would’ve liked to have seen someone taller rock this look.

A black and white manicure and stud earrings provided the finishing touches.

Cassie In Salvatore Ferragamo – Martinez Hotel

It looks like it has been raining in Cannes, but that didn’t stop this ray of sunshine poking out at the Martinez Hotel this morning.

Cassie donned a very exotic look wearing a Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2012 jumpsuit.

Her mandarin-and-violet strapless jumpsuit with a self-tie waist and cropped pants was styled with complementary violet-frame shades.

As if by coincidence she is wearing the same white Givenchy heels we saw Diane Kruger wear last night.

A Balenciaga bag and a gold necklace completed her look.

When is she going to accept that that hairstyle is a) so 2009 and b) not suited to her baby face?

You can buy Cassie’s Givenchy heels from Luisa via Roma
or in black from Net-A-Porter.com and Selfridges.

Cassie In Roberto Cavalli – ‘King Of Hearts’ Launch Party

Cassie is currently in Paris with her beau Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs.

On Monday night she hosted a party at L’Arc Club to launch her new single, ‘King of Hearts’.

The singer, who’s currently sporting a Mohawk, donned a head-to-toe Roberto Cavalli Spring 2012 look.

Her vibrant look included a colourful embroidered jacket which she wore without a top, but hopefully plenty of double-sided tape.

Salmon-pink pants, a purple mink jacket thrown over her shoulder and fringed lavender Cavalli heels completed her look.

Sans the mink, I really like this look, being a fan of bright colours and all.

I just wish she would grow her hair back. This look is really tired now.
