Claire Danes is gorgeous wearing a Zac Posen Spring 2009 nude dress, with cap sleeves and a black lace overlay with an asymmetrical hem.

Natalia Vodianova arrived with her husband wearing a holey wool Calvin Klein Fall 2009 one-sleeved dress which looked like lace, with two tone peep-toes.

I adore this silk blue Ralph Lauren gown that Olivia Wilde is wearing.

She completes her look with a Daniel Swarovski clutch.

Victoria Beckham arrived looking outstanding wearing a black jersey dress, with sequined shoulders from her own Fall 2009 recently presented collection.

What is up with Eva Longoria and dark colours lately? Bring back the bubblegum pinks, and baby blues immediately.

Having said that, I LOVE this suit on her. She looks fantastic, and this is the best her hair has looked in a long while.

OMG…this is exactly the dress I picked from the Georges Chakra Spring 2009 Couture collection for Carrie Underwood. I knew she would love this, as it’s just her style.

The silver one shoulder dress has strands of Swarovski crystal and pearls which is just exquisite.

She completes her look with a matching Mary Norton clutch.

Sharon Stone wore a black Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2009 lace gown.

It would be hard to wear a bra or nipple covers with this dress, but Sharon could have at least modified the dress with an extra layer, so we were not exposed to her nipples.

Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon wore a stunning gown by up and coming designer Rafael Cennamo. The beautiful black asymmetrical one shoulder gown, had silver pailettes along the bust and strap.

Outstanding, as always.

Rashida Jones wore a sequined taupe sleeveless 3.1 Phillip Lim Ruffle cocoon dress, with pewter strappy sandals.

Eva La Rue’s strapless figure-hugging dress, is incredibly sexy. I love the nude underlay against her caramel skin.

Gina Gershon is wearing the same body-hugging Roberto Cavalli black gown with jeweled detail on the bust, which she wore Tony Awards back in June last year.

Eve’s wore an azure blue halter gown.

Rachel Griffiths wore a 60s vintage Geoffrey Beene gown from Decades Inc. with Roger Vivier shoes, a Lambertson Truex clutch and Neil Lane jewels.

A great look for the mother-to-be.

What happened to Dita von Teese?

This is two in a row that I dislike. The colour and the right side of the Christian Lacroix Fall 2008 Couture dress I really dislike.

It is me or is the Grammy show looking better than the Grammy red carpet?

Gwyneth Paltrow was a surprise at this show, but then considering her husband was up for many awards with his group Coldplay, her appearance then no longer becomes a surprise.

The gorgeous actress surprised me by wearing a stunning gold and silver sequined Versace Spring 2009 strapless mini. Unfortunately she didn’t dare to wear without tights.

I can’t remember her ever wearing Versace.

Her look was complete with strappy sandals and Chopard jewels.

My BFF Queen Latifah wore a custom cobalt blue Gustavo Cadile strapless cocktail dress.

I love the way the fringed detail moves as she walks in her stunning gown, and the ruched bodice give her a gorgeous shape.

STUNNING. Whitney Houston blows me away here.

The legendary singer wore a blue and beige ombre strapless Zuhair Murad Resort 2009 gown. The gown had a floral sequin detail at the waist, and sexy side slit.

I feel another girl crush coming on.

Jennifer Hudson continued to look amazing on stage when she performed You Pulled Me Through, which earned her a standing ovation.

Carrie Underwood performed in a gold sequined pant suit, with a nude sheer overlay.

Not sure what the black harness is for.

Following her performance Carrie changed into another Zuhair Murad dress. This one was a green silk chiffon baby doll bubble dress with floral bodice, and beaded cap sleeves.

Katy Perry performs in a fruit of the loon mini dress.

Another gorgeous pink dress from Katy Perry. This time she wore a pale pink silk chiffon v-front ruffled mini Jenny Packham Spring 2009 dress with crystal waist detail and matching pink heels,

Estelle continued her space age look wearing another Bernard Chandran dress in the press room.

Best Dressed Award
Pretty pink strapless gowns seem to be the order of the day. First worn by Freida Pinto at the BAFTAs, now this gorgeous pink Basil Soda gown has been worn by Katy Perry.

The structure of the gown is exquisite, as I have come to appreciate from Lebanese designers.

The satin ruffle piece on the front of the gown doesn’t bother me, the retro hair fits the look, the pink lips are simply divine, and the subtle Jacob & Co jewels don’t over cook this look.

Most Unexpected Award
When I saw Jennifer Hudson arrive on the red carpet wearing a colour-block RM by Roland Mouret Trenet high neck dress I must admit I was very shocked.

If there was a line of 100 dresses, I would have picked this last for her, but she more than does it justice – and this is not any kind of sympathy vote.

This really is a statement dress, with 3 tones including a white high neck bodice, a grey contrast pleated peplum around the waist, and a dark navy pencil skirt.

Thankfully the hair is pulled back to show off the dress, and her blue suede shoes are Christian Louboutin Declic Suede Pumps. I personally would have preferred a strappy sandal.

Best One-Shouldered Dress Award
Zooey Deschanel stepped out of the box, and tried something new with this cute lilac Luella Spring 2009 dress.

There is much going on with the chiffon layer, the floral appliqué on the shoulder, and the skirt with the draped detail, but this does not overwhelm Zooey.

She wears this dress very confidently, and it suits her kooky style.

The lilac tights I like, the black peep-toes I don’t like.

Best Strapless & Ruffles Award
Sara Bareilles also wore a pink strapless dress from the Luisa Beccaria Spring 2009 collection. It’s so angelic, and I love the red accents.

She completes her look with a Daniel Swarovski silver clutch.

Most Improved Award
After her Cavalli dress at the Pre-Grammy party, Miley Cyrus couldn’t get any worst.

I was pleasantly surprised in her choice of this charming Hervé Léger by Max Azria Fall 2008 asymmetrical gown, and I loved her hairstyle too.

Miley seemed very calm on the red carpet. No over-the-top poses, no obnoxious comments. I was very impressed by her maturity.

What No Bling? Award
Miley’s new BFF Taylor Swift, love for embellished dress was replaced by this Kaufman Franco black jersey gown, with wrap around patent leather strapping.

Continues To Be One To Watch Award
Kim Kardashian’s white/silver Toni Maticevski Spring 2009 dress was very cute, sassy and not at all trashy choice.

I love the organza detailing, which gives the dress a lot of shape and definition.

She worked her look with a pair of silver Christian Louboutin Fortuna slingbacks.

Best Use of Colour Award
I love a burst of colour on the red carpet, and Letoya Luckett certain provide it, with her fuchsia pink mini dress, multi-coloured snake-skin clutch and baby blue pumps.

Best Asymmetrical Gown Award
Looking a lot less bronze than she did the day before, Sheryl Crow looked amazing wearing a water-mix blue Toni Maticevski gown.

I love the slightly ruched bodice.

Golden Girl Award
Carrie Underwood glowed on the red carpet in a gold beaded tulle slip gown from the Zuhair Murad Resort 2009 collection, which she wore with a matching golden Nancy Gonzalez clutch.

I knew she could not stay away from this type of look for long.

It Should Not Have Worked, But It Did Award
Janelle Monae’s equestrian themed look was very charming.

I especially loved the white high collared pleated blouse.

Better With The Coat On Award
Anna Wintour was styling Adele for this event, so there were high hopes.

The Barbara Tfank LBD was nice enough, but I loved the look with the green coat.

Best Colour Block Award
LeAnn Rimes’ Philosophy Spring 2009 dress is so cute, I have to own it.

I love the cerulean blue top half, the heavily embellished waist, and the chiffon khaki skirt. Such a young and fresh look for the singer.

Best Re-Run Award
Iman has already worn this Rachel Roy Spring 2009 strapless dress, which had a embellished bodice and a tulip skirt. Jennifer Nettles wears it equally well.

Just OK Award
Apart from the Princess Leia hair style Audrina Patridge looks nice enough wearing a teal Tadashi strapless column gown with pleated bodice.

The Hills star walked the carpet Hans Solo.

I really struggle with Miley Cyrus when it comes to her style on the red carpet.

I do like this Roberto Cavalli Spring 2009 mini dress. It was one of the very few pieces I actually liked from this collection, but I don’t feel Miley has the panache to pull it off.

I feel like she picked it out of her mother closet, and is playing dress-up.

This dress also needs the wearer to pull their hair right back off their face and shoulders, because the pretty detail on the front is lost under her hair.

Plus, the way she is showing off the layered and ruffled skirt at the back is way too proactive for my liking.

Gucci Ambassador Rihanna, picked one of the floaty strapless maxi dress from their Spring 2009 collection to walk the red carpet.

Although the dress, does not quite fit with her current bad-ass image, it looks very pretty on her despite her twins looking very squashed.

This look is slightly edgier than we would expect from Taylor Swift.

She pulls off this Collette Dinnigan Spring 2009 LBD with silver sequin embellishments with a style and charisma that fellow teen Miley just doesn’t possess.

I would’ve liked to have seen her hair straight with this dress.

Estelle wore a nude Fendi Spring 2009 tunic, with latex leggings, and black peep-toes.

Katy Perry wore a lilac mini dress from couture designer Georges Chakra.

The dress had a sheer yoke, which was embellished like the rest of the dress. I’m not normally a fan of sheer yokes, but in this case it looks like it’s needed to keep Katy’s twins under control.

The tulle hem is divine.

Regular readers will know my frustrations with Leona Lewis and wearing tights on the red carpet. No matter the event, and no matter what she is wearing, she is guaranteed to be wearing them.

This for me puts a downer on her Reem Acra Pre-Fall 2009 LBD, with it’s silver embellished halter detail. What also puts me off this dress, is the quite unnecessary piece at the back of the dress.

The only saving grace, is her make-up and her stunning sparkling clutch.

Carrie Underwood is usually all about bright colours and heavy embellishments, so imagine my surprise to see her tone down her red carpet look with this Pamella Roland Spring 2009 black and silver beaded dot dress.

It’s nice to see her versatility on the red carpet.

Jennifer Hudson’s Balenciaga heels are to-die-for. I have to own these.

Jennifer arrived with Clive Davis on the red carpet wearing a Todd Lynn LBD, and looked flawless. I especially loved her eye make-up.

Terri Seymour redeemed herself from her hideous crimped hair last week, to a wavy style which suits her better.

The TV presenter looked ever-so-cute wearing a strapless yellow and navy printed DKNY Spring 2009 mini dress, which she wore with Christian Louboutin Mary Janes.

Pregnancy definitely agrees with Kimora Lee Simmons, as her look has soften from the less desirable ensemble she wore pre-pregnancy.

She walked the red carpet with her baby-daddy actor Djimon Hounsou wearing a ABS for Peas In A Pod gown, with a rosette detail on the shoulder.

Tattoo’s aside I really like this lavender dress on Fantasia, which she wears with a Mary Norton clutch.

Sheryl Crow’s tan is almost as dark as her bronze Ports 1961 dress, which she also wears with a Mary Norton clutch.

For some unknown reason Keyshia Cole decided to show off her leg in every picture on the red carpet.

Nice dress, shame about her desperate attempts to be noticed.

Great colour on Kelly Clarkson. I would have but money on her wearing black, but she opted for this perwinkle blue gown instead.

Boo to Duffy for letting us Brits down at this event by looking so plain.

Seeing this picture Whitney Houston gives me chills, as it takes me back to 1987, when I was totally in love with Whitney, and I would single along to her songs like a deluded contestant on American Idol.

If you weren’t aware like Britney, Whitney’s back. Both in spirit and in song. I just wish she hadn’t sported road-kill to perform at this event.
