Carrie Underwood In Abed Mahfouz – 2012 American Music Awards

Carrie Underwood joined many other stars like Heidi Klum and Ginnifer Goodwin who sported high-neck looks on the red carpet for the 2012 American Music Awards on Sunday evening.

The country singer, who was up against Taylor Swift for ‘Favourite Country Female Artist’, wore an Abed Mahfouz Fall 2012 gown.

Her purple sequin cap-sleeve gown with a pattern etched down the front was styled with a gold Jill Milan clutch and rose-gold Jacob & Co. chandelier earrings.

Carrie does delight in this gown, but she should’ve ditched her wavy locks and opted for a slick high bun with this look.

Carrie Underwood’s Eleven Looks From The 2012 CMA Awards

Carrie Underwood had a very busy night co-hosting the 2012 CMA Awards with Brad Paisley at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, last night.

There were 11 looks in total, not counting her Reem Acra red carpet look.

First up the singer wore a Jovani nude fully embellished cocktail dress. Dazzling Jacob & Co. earrings and equally bedazzling Fabi strappy sandals accessorized her look.

I loved her navy Sally LaPointe Fall 2012 peplum dress with a cut-out waist. This isn’t a look we usually see on Carrie; I love the dress but I’m not sure I would’ve styled it with that silver Amrapali statement necklace. The dress is making a loud enough statement on its own. She opted for silver metallic Jerome C. Rousseau sandals for this look.

I’m not sure Carrie needed her Katerina Maxine earrings with this Jenny Packham Spring 2012 dress which already had such a beautiful beaded and embellished bib. What do you think? Silver ankle-strap Gio Diev ‘Palma’ sandals and a Graziela cocktail ring accessorized this look. Read more…

Carrie Underwood In Reem Acra – 2012 CMA Awards

Carrie Underwood reprised her role as co-host of the 46th Annual CMA Awards held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, last night.

Her first job as host was to look beautiful on the red carpet.

That was easy in this gorgeous Reem Acra Spring 2013 gown.

Her ivory chiffon gown with gold floral appliqués feels like a more grown-up look for Carrie.

She’s done the princess thing for a while at these events, so this look is very refreshing for me.

The country singer accessorized with a Swarovski gold leather ‘Bel Air’ clutch with a crystal closure and rose-gold jewels.

A wavy hairstyle pinned to one side, kohl-rimmed eyes and a shimmering nude lip colour completed her look.

Who Wore Reem Acra Better…Carrie Underwood or Zhang Ziyi?

Carrie Underwood sparkled in a Reem Acra gold-embellished gown back in November for the 2011 CMA Awards.

The country singer looked absolutely radiant, especially with the addition of gold accessories, flawless makeup, and soft blonde waves.

Zhang Ziyi wore the same cap-sleeve gown to the 12th Annual Chinese Film Media Awards in China back in May.

The Asian actress also does the dress justice, adding gold chandelier earrings, a simple gold timepiece and even her Louboutins were sparkling with gold.

This is a hard one as both women look gorgeous in the gown, but my vote goes to Zhang because I prefer the gold gown on someone with darker hair.

That is the only way I could separate the two.

Carrie Underwood In Randi Rahm – 2012 CMT Music Awards

Carrie Underwood channeled her inner rockstar at the 2012 CMT Music Awards, which took place in Nashville on Wednesday evening.

Opting for a surprising black ensemble, Carrie showed off some leg in a silver-and-black sequined Randi Rahm mini dress.

The country singer accessorized the look with edgy Gio Diev ankle-cuff booties and a matching Rene Caovilla black satin and Swarovski crystal clutch.

I was completely shocked to see that Carrie did not wear yet another tulle-heavy gown, especially for such a major country music event.

Whilst I am ecstatic to see something new from Carrie on the red carpet, those ankle boots bring the whole look down for me.

Carrie Underwood In Oscar de la Renta – 2012 Billboard Music Awards

Carrie Underwood had a Cinderella moment on the white carpet at the MGM Grand Garden where the 2012 Billboard Music Awards was held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

She wore one of my favourite looks from the Oscar de la Renta Fall 2012 collection.

I adore this silver-and-rose tulle draped gown. Everyone gasped when it took to the runway during New York Fashion Week.

It’s no surprise that the wearer was Carrie, as she does love a frothy gown.

Oscar de la Renta accessories accompanied her dress. They included a pearl-and-crystal sapphire ‘Cara’ vanity case and silver paillette open-toe heels.

Whilst I do love a big dose of sugar on the red carpet, the look would’ve been less sickly sweet had Carrie opted to wear her hair back.

With the skirt being so frou frou, the look would’ve been balanced out with a sleeker hairstyle.

Dark eye makeup and a nude lip shade completed her look.
