Carly Rae Jepsen In Needle & Thread – The Today Show

It was nice to see the softer side of Carly Rae Jepsen style as she arrived for a guest appearance on NBC’s ‘Today’ show at Rockefeller Center yesterday (August 17) in New York City.

Her Needle & Thread Pre-Fall 2017 ‘Ditsy’ midi dress was a wonderfully beguiling affair, with sequin embroidered flowers gently scattered throughout that are the brands signature.

Styled with a plum Kate Spade New York ‘Baja Bound Turtle Crossbody’ bag and retro shades, the red Stuart Weitzman sandals may be too stark with this look for some, but the pop of colour enlivens the look for me.

What are your thoughts on her styling?

Carly Rae Jepsen In Didit Hediprasetyo Couture – MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2013

Carly Rae Jepsen In Didit Hediprasetyo Couture - MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2013

Carly Rae Jepsen attended the MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2013 held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan earlier today where she picked up the ‘Best New Artist Video’ Award for ‘Call Me Maybe’.

She did so wearing a Didit Hediprasetyo Fall 2012 Couture abstract print mini dress featuring exaggerated hips and contrast panels at the waist.

As we’ve come to expect the accessories – including a Lauren Merkin ‘Lucca’ oval shaped croc minaudière – were a tad lacklustre, but her fiery red mane made up for that.

Carly Rae Jepsen In Carlie Wong – 4th Annual amfAR Inspiration Gala New York

Carly Rae Jepsen In Carlie Wong - 4th Annual amfAR Inspiration Gala New York

Before taking to the stage to perform at the 4th Annual amfAR Inspiration Gala New York on Thursday evening wearing a cobalt-blue L.A.M.B. Fall 2013 suit, Carly Rae Jepsen graced the red carpet alongside the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Uma Thurman.

Taking on the red carpet veterans, the singer wore a Carlie Wong Spring 2013 gown.

Her sheer white sleeveless etched-pattern gown features a bright-yellow mini underlay, giving the gown a youthful edge along with her mint-green Luichiny pumps.

The turquoise cuff is a bit of a head-scratcher, but the rest of her styling, including a gold clutch and wavy red tresses, perfects her look.

Carly Rae Jepsen In Dyanthe – 2013 Billboard Music Awards

Carly Rae Jepsen In Dyanthe - 2013 Billboard Music Awards

Showing off her new red hair, Carly Rae Jepsen took to the 2013 Billboard Music Awards blue carpet on Sunday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The multiple nominee and winner of the Top Digital Song Artist trophy chose a Dyanthe Fall 2012 frock for her big night.

The black mesh design, with strategically placed panels, unfortunately did little to impress, though. Bunching and gathering in some places, it seemed a bit ill-fitting.

And I just wanted to pull off those flimsy side sashes that added nothing but a distracting edge to the look.

The singer paired the see-through dress with metallic-accented Gio Diev platform pumps and Isharya jewels, but a belly button is rarely an accessory I want to see on the red carpet.

Love the lightened-up hair; now if her look had just followed suit.

Carly Rae Jepsen In Roberto Cavalli – 2013 Grammy Awards

Carly Rae Jepsen may have the bright, bubblegum pop hit of the season with her ‘Call Me Maybe’ track. But for Sunday night’s 2013 Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, the nominated songstress took a darker, edgier turn.

Following in the heels of Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert, Carly Rae also wore a Roberto Cavalli dress for the evening.

The strapless, glittering statement almost looked slick with its cascade of shine that continued into the fishtail train.

No jewels were really necessary to add sparkle to this look, but she did accessorize with a gold Cuyana bracelet and H. Stern ring. And Jerome C. Rousseau’s ‘Mikon’ black patent, peep-toe Mary Janes were her shoe of choice.

The sultry mood continued with Carly’s dark locks and blunt bang, not to mention her silver eye shadow and nude lippie.

On the red carpet, Carly did admit she was a bit stressed when it came to finding her Grammys gown. After trying on eight different looks, she decided on this Cavalli number.

Did she make the right choice in your opinion?
