Emma Roberts In Brandon Maxwell & Thai Nguyen Atelier – ‘Who We Are Now’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere & HFPA & InStyle TIFF Party

Emma Roberts is another one lighting up the 2017 Toronto Film Festival, where she attended the ‘Who We Are Now’ premiere on Saturday (September 9) and the HFPA & InStyle TIFF Party later that day.

‘Who We Are Now’ Premiere: Proving that white still works in the fall, Emma opted for a Brandon Maxwell Fall 2017 dress. She added interest to the minimalist frock with embellished Chloe Gosselin ‘Helix’ pumps and a mini Stalvey Beauty case. The black ankle-strap shoes coupled with the white dress created a modish vibe, but the case feels slightly disjointed, especially when it covers the frock’s hem.

HFPA & InStyle TIFF Party: Emma continued to let her long pins remain the focus, donning a Thai Nguyen Atelier Resort 2018 dress. Given the amount of fine detail in the frock, she pared back her accessories. Simple black ankle-strap heels completed the ensemble along with tousled hair and a flick of eyeliner. The dress’s fit is fantastic, but I would have preferred a straight hem as the cutouts distract from the mesmerizing work in the bodice.

Elle Fanning In Alexander McQueen – ‘Mary Shelley’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

On Saturday (September 9) Elle Fanning attended the ‘Mary Shelley’ Toronto Film Festival premiere and offered a different take on her typical ethereal style courtesy of some sultry details.

Clad in an Alexander McQueen gown, the blush-toned style revealed the under-layers of boning, belt and even a hint of navel.

Elle didn’t veer too far from her typical whimsical style as she accessorised the sheer lace dress with Tiffany & Co. jewels and a pair of embellished sandals.

Some might have wished that Elle added more sustainable jewels to the strapless neckline, but I preferred her minimalist look which allowed the subtle details in the gown to come to the forefront. And there wasn’t any superfluous bling to distract from the way the ballet pink hue complemented her porcelain complexion.

Nicole Kidman In Oscar de la Renta – ‘The Upside’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

After a couple brushes with her frou-frou, princess side, Nicole Kidman was back to more streamlined, feminine glamour at the premiere of ‘The Upside’ during the 2017 Toronto Film Festival on Friday (September 8).

The actress donned an Oscar de la Renta dress, notable for the elegant allure of its ruffle neckline and fit-and-flare silhouette.

The actress accessorised with the classic girl’s best friend, diamonds, to complete her little black dress along with Jimmy Choo ‘Minny’ sandals.

Jessica Chastain In Prada – ‘Molly’s Game’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Having not seen Jessica Chastain since Cannes, she did not disappoint upon her dazzling return at the 2017 Toronto Film Festival where she attended the premiere of ‘Molly’s Game’ on Friday (September 8).

In a glorious example of a Prada keyhole gown worn so well on the red carpet, the actress was captivating in this design—the colours alone radiating with her flame locks.

I particularly love the mist of turquoise embellishment, as it added a lovely mystique to the gown.

No jewels were necessary here, as the gown was more than enough to captivate. She wrapped up the glamorous look with the playful, flirty appeal of a ponytail.

Margot Robbie In Apiece Apart, Ji Oh & Erdem – IMDb Studio & ‘I, Tonya’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Margot Robbie has also been at the 2017 Toronto Film Festival, where she stopped by the IMDb Studio on Friday (September 8), later attending the ‘I, Tonya’ premiere that day.

IMDb Studio: Transitioning into fall, Margot cut a sophisticated profile with her ribbed Apiece Apart sweater and high-waist Ji Oh skirt. Sometimes oversized, mismatched buttons can come across as comical, but here they brought just the right measure of quirky, stylish appeal. Jimmy Choo shoes rounded out the look.

‘I, Tonya’ Premiere: In a complete 180-turn, the actress delved into a far more romantic spirit with this flowy Erdem ‘Cassandra’ floral-embroidered gown from the Resort 2018 collection. With this look, she proved just how beguiling the colour blue is for her—while keeping summer’s whimsy alive.
