Camila Cabello In Givenchy – 2018 Billboard Music Awards

Before performed her fan-favourite hit ‘Havana’, Camila Cabello posed on the red carpet at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, which took place on Sunday (May 20) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

You’ve often had mixed reaction to Camila’s style, which has seen her very much at the experimental stages as she forges her solo career.

On this occasion she was rocking, or should I saw swinging out in Givenchy Fall 2018.

I love how her dual colour dress unites couture elements with a sculptural sensibilities while epitomizing the brand’s take on luxe fabrics and modern cuts.

For this young star this was fun to wear, with asymmetric fringing swishing with every movement.

Camila Cabello In Agent Provocateur – Never Be the Same Tour

Camila Cabello launched her ‘Never Be the Same’ tour with a show at the Orpheum in Vancouver, Canada on Monday (April 9).

One thing that generally unites the Cuban-American singer-songwriter’s style is her affection for sultriness and sass. And, both of those elements came together in this look that featured lingerie vibes with the Agent Provocateur ‘Mercy’ corset styled with dual-slit trousers and slouchy boots to bring it out of the bedroom.

That would have been quite sufficient on its own, but as this was a stage look and a bit overdone is to be expected, the cape-sleeve shrug, fingerless gloves, and lace Wolford ‘Louise’ tights were added for good measure.

I have a feeling the costume-y gothic romance of the look may not go over so well. But, a darker sense of drama was clearly her M.O. and that was accomplished.

Camila Cabello performed ‘Havana’ at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards in Walter Mendez

Camila Cabello performed her hit song ‘Havana’ at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Sunday (March 11) in Inglewood, California.

The singer channelled her Marilyn Monroe-via-Madonna with her performance wearing a custom Walter Mendez pink satin strapless gown.

Complete with matching opera gloves, jewels and thigh-high boots, it’s clear her inspiration combines the iconic ‘Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend’ from ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’ and the classic ‘Material Girl’ music video.

Camila Cabello In Ralph & Russo – The BRIT Awards 2018

Camila Cabello looked like an ethereal beauty at The Brit Awards 2018 on Wednesday (February 21) in London, England where she joined Haim and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

I can practically hear the applause for her lining her Ralph & Russo Spring 2018 gown.

There is plenty of sensuality from the keyhole cut-out in the chest and the sheer skirt would have distracted from it.

With the modifications, the dress still retains a breezy, fairy tale sentiment. I am half-expecting her to float away with the delicate frills.

The ‘Havana’ singer usually doesn’t miss an opportunity to have a princess moment, and she didn’t let me down here.

Who Wore Off-White Better? Pink or Camila Cabello?

Pink and Camila Cabello both wore this electric-blue Off-White Fall 2017 ruffled cut-out dress within a few months of each other.

The key to pulling off this look was the styling, and that’s where Pink wins for me.

She made the look her own by putting her signature rocker spin by adding both the bandeau and the Balenciaga boots.

Camila’s white shoes and exaggeration of the slit felt uninspired by comparison.

Camila Cabello In Vivienne Westwood Couture – 2018 Grammy Awards

Camila Cabello was a lady in red at the 2018 Grammy Awards on Sunday (January 28) in New York City, where she joined Lady Gaga and Rita Ora.

I must admit that when I saw this, I was a bit underwhelmed.

The Grammys are a prime opportunity to push the sartorial envelope, and I think she has done that more successfully on other red carpets.

Her Vivienne Westwood Couture gown is still beautiful as it’s another example of the designer’s mastery of corsets, giving the ‘Havana’ singer a va-va-voom figure.

There is an elegant princess feel to the ensemble with the romance of her softly curled updo and jewels.

She carried white roses to support the #TimesUp movement and a chain-strap disco ball bag for a fanciful touch.
