Stella McCartney Resort 2014 Presentation

Stella McCartney Resort 2014 Presentation

It appears that Stella McCartney took the great British weather with her to New York, where the presentation of her Resort 2014 collection was held yesterday evening.

Despite the downpour, her celebrity BFFs turned up in full force.

Julianne Moore: The actress was dressed appropriately, wearing a snakeskin-print long-sleeved drop-waist dress from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection.

Stella McCartney: Paying no mind to the wet weather conditions, she selected a beautiful three-quarter-length rose-pink dress with a red lace-accented hemline, which she styled with metallic-silver sandals. This was my favourite look of the bunch.

Cameron Diaz: I was not surprised to see Cameron Diaz at this event as a Stella devotee. The designer has very much become Cameron’s go-to girl. Also ignoring the bad weather, she selected a white Stella McCartney three-quarter-sleeve top with a satin waistband, which she styled with white Stella McCartney shoes and a lilac faux-leather Stella McCartney ‘Beckett’ clutch.

Kate Bosworth: Never one to miss a fashionable event, the actress wore a Stella McCartney dress in the same rose-pink hue as the designer, opting for a matching ‘Beckett’ clutch and disappointing black pumps.

Naomi Watts: A lace jumpsuit has very much become a staple for the British designer. This black macramé lace and nude one-shoulder jumpsuit was styled with black Stella McCartney pumps with an asymmetrical strap. Her hair and makeup are flawless here.

On 'The Other Woman' Set With Leslie Mann In Altuzarra & Cameron Diaz

Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann were spotted on the set of their latest movie ‘The Other Woman’ in New York City on Tuesday.

The wardrobe designer decked the ladies out in some beautiful high-end pieces, with Cameron’s faux baby bump dressed with a loose-fitted smock dress which was styled with a gold-chain-accented ‘Falabella’ clutch by designer BFF Stella McCartney, and Alaia shoes.

Leslie also wore a summery frock from Altuzarra’s Spring 2013 collection; the mixed-print dress features a boardroom-striped top with a pointy collar and an abstract-print skirt, accented with a violet-blue sash draped across the waist.

Her look was also styled with summer accessories including on-trend white pumps and a light-blue Gucci shoulder bag.

I covet both looks. Do you?

Cameron Diaz In Roland Mouret – TAG Heuer Host 2013 Monaco Grand Prix Party

Cameron Diaz In Roland Mouret - TAG Heuer Host 2013 Monaco Grand Prix Party

A bronzed Cameron Diaz kept it cool at the 2013 Monaco Grand Prix Party, hosted by Tag Heuer, in Monaco on Saturday, where a fresh-from-Cannes Leonardo DiCaprio also made an appearance.

The actress and Tag Heuer ambassador clocked in wearing a white Roland Mouret Spring 2013 below-the-knee dress.

The architectural, body-con silhouette, with an asymmetrical plunge neckline, showed off her athletic frame whilst Cameron flaunted her major piece of golden wrist candy: a wraparound bracelet timepiece.

She accessorized with little else—save for that watch—completing the ensemble with Cédric Charlier ankle-strap sandals and a brushed-back ponytail. I kept wishing to see the pop of a brighter lip on this sleek look.

Cameron Diaz In Stella McCartney – 2013 Met Gala

Cameron Diaz In Stella McCartney - 2013 Met Gala

Cameron Diaz shut down the red carpet at the 2013 Met Gala on Monday evening in New York City.

While many stars shunned the punk theme in fear of not looking pretty, Cameron’s Stella McCartney custom gown was one of the few which said punk while still looking pretty – pretty damn awesome.

Not only is this gown in my beloved colour, electric-blue, but it also features an on-trend cape – which I had wished to see on this red carpet – and a spiked belt for added punk effect.

With the addition of Stella McCartney accessories including platform studded sandals and a wooden box clutch, the Stella – Cameron Met Gala red carpet combo continues to be a certified hit.

Who Wore Lanvin Better…Michelle Pfeiffer, Naomie Harris and Cameron Diaz?

Back in May, Michelle Pfeiffer wore a Bordeaux silk-satin Lanvin dress to the ‘Dark Shadows’ London premiere, with Cathy Waterman and Samira 13 jewels plus her favourite Sergio Rossi ‘Cachet’ black pumps.

While I’m not crazy about the dress, this was one of the rare times Michelle didn’t wear another black dress, so she got points for that, but she loses them again for the tight fit and creases.

The dress looks vastly better on Naomie, who wore the dress to the ‘Skyfall’ Madrid photocall; however, her Pierre Hardy ankle boots shorten her long lean legs.

Cameron Diaz wore the same dress last month to TAG Heuer’s ‘A Night Under The Stars’ event, with a Lanvin statement necklace, Slane bangles, Carla Amorim ring, De Beers earrings and, of course, her Tag Heuer ‘Link Lady Trilogy’ limited edition watch.

Third time was not a charm.

As I prefer the dress in the rich Bordeaux colour, Naomie wins for me.

Mostly because of her flawless makeup, but also because her dress has a better fit.

Cameron Diaz’ Ageless Look

She may have just turned 40, but Cameron Diaz somehow continues to look ageless. At last week’s UK premiere of her new film, ‘Gambit,’ the star looked stunning in a Stella McCartney dress with flawless skin, a nude lip and classic lined black eye.

Hairstylist George Northwood spoke to us about how he achieved Cameron’s girlish bun on the night.

‘My inspiration was something soft, girly and modern for the red carpet,’ he said. ‘First I rough dried the hair, scrunching for texture and volume using a Parlux dryer.’

‘I blow dried the fringe forward with a small round brush, rounding at the end to create a soft edge – part it where desired.’

‘Next I sprayed Redken Quick Tease, a backcombing lift finishing spray, throughout the roots excluding the fringe which I kept flat. I backcombed the hair at the roots all over, again excluding the fringe, using a carbon comb which keeps the hair static free.’

‘To copy this style, hold the hair into a pony then twist on itself and wrap into a bun. Then grip and pin it into place around the outside of the bun.’

‘Pull some bits out around the face and tong lightly for texture and wave definition. I recommend T3 tongs.’

‘Finally spray with Pureology Strengthening Control Zero Dulling Hair Spray and rough up the style a bit for a fresh, young tousled look.’
