Caitriona Balfe In Delpozo – Virgin TV BAFTA Television Awards

Caitriona Balfe looked regal at the Virgin TV BAFTA Television Awards on Sunday (May 13) in London, joining Thandie NewtonVanessa Kirby and Claire Foy.

The ‘Outlander’ actress often gravitates towards black. Her Delpozo Fall 2018 dress certainly had an inky allure, but it was dramatized by the explosion of appliques and feathered trim.

Texture is something not to be underestimated in an outfit and this decorated confection speaks to that. The strapless silhouette is sleek but the trimmings bring such tactile dimension.

The ensemble was tied up with the knotted neckline and Time’s Up pin.

2018 BAFTA Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Black gowns dominated the 2018 BAFTAs on Sunday (February 18) at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England, but the red carpet was by no means boring with celebrities showing their support for the Time’s Up movement in a wide array of striking looks.

Letitia Wright: Showing a darker side of Gucci, the ‘Black Panther’ actress, who was one of the presenters on the night, looks charming in a belted dress. The bug-like embroidery perks up the black velvet base. Some have remarked how the brands looks sometimes suffer from too many details, but this one has the balance right.

Sally Hawkins: The Best Actress in a Leading Role nominee for ‘The Shape of Water’, shone in a Ralph & Russo gown. This is a more sensual look for her with the slashes in the bodice revealing a coquettish hint of skin. I wish she played into the theme more with romantic wavy hair.

Anya Taylor-Joy: Last year’s Rising Star Award nominee embraced the sexy glamour of Dolce & Gabbana in a black lace dress and golden crown. I can already hear the chants of people wishing the skirt was lined, and I must agree.

Caitriona Balfe In Chanel – EE British Academy Film Awards Nominees Party

Caitriona Balfe opted for monochromatic separates at the EE British Academy Film Awards nominees party on Saturday (February 17) at Kensington Palace in London, England alongside Kate MaraNatalie Dormer and Anya Taylor-Joy.

I must say that when I first glanced at the photo, the ‘Outlander’ actress reminded of Bella Hadid when she had a wispy bob.

That’s where the comparisons end as the Irish actress’s Chanel Pre-Fall 2018 outfit is very much in her wheelhouse.

Rather than a skirt, she channeled the sharpness of a tuxedo with a white halter top and black flared pants.

It’s a shame about the creases. I’m willing to overlook those as that is the nature of the fabric, but I wish the trousers had been shortened to the length on the runway so we could have really appreciated that dramatic flare.

Caitriona Balfe In Erdem – IFTA Film & Drama Awards

Caitriona Balfe attended the IFTA Film & Drama Awards on Thursday (February 15) in Dublin, Ireland where she won the award for Best Actress in a Leading Role – Drama for her work on ‘Outlander.’

She showed off a shorter haircut which only enhanced the dark ethereal feature of her Erdem Resort 2018 gown.

The dark colour plays into her fondness of black while staying true to the designer’s Gothic beauty aesthetic.

The embellishment enlivened the inky black base for a deeply romantic take.

The delicate gathers on the skirt play up the prettiness, but it’s the cross-over top that frames her face beautifully, thus having the most impact.

Overall, the look has a quiet, moody sweetness which showcases her statuesque beauty with a softer silhouette.

Caitriona Balfe In Chanel Couture – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Caitriona Balfe was one of the first on the 2018 Golden Globe Awards red carpet on Sunday (January 7) in Beverly Hills, California.

The ‘Outlander’ actress and nominee looked to the Chanel Fall 2017 Couture collection to align with the black dress code.

However, with the design’s decorative straps and feathery shoulders along with the ruffled, ruched detailing, the look was far from one-note.

A sleek bun and Chanel Fine Jewelry completed the Parisian-chic entrance.
