Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Busy Philipps In Honor - 2014 CFDA Fashion Awards

Busy Philipps attended the 2014 CFDA Fashion Awards held at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center on Monday (June 2) in New York City.

The blonde actress wore an Honor Fall 2014 striking red halter dress with a frilled neckline, which was worn sans the sleeve detail we saw on the runway.

Styled with an Irene Neuwirth one-of-a-kind white-gold necklace set with pink opal flower carvings, rose-cut diamonds and diamond pavé, and a matching ring, Busy slicked back her hair and worked a strong cat-eye whilst opting for glossy lips.

While the waist may be begging for an accent, I love this look from head to toe.

This might be her best look ever.

There were so many more celebs who attended Elle’s Women In Hollywood Celebration in LA last night. Here is a quick look at what they wore.

Uma Thurman: The actress wore a head-to-toe Calvin Klein Spring 2013 all-black look with slicked-back hair and David Yurman jewels.

Kiernan Shipka: The adorable teen actress wore a Moschino ivory-and-black dress with a pleated striped skirt, black collar and peplum detail. An Olympia Le-Tan book clutch and black Jimmy Choo ‘Mara’ kitten heels accessorized her look.

Jayma Mays: The ‘Glee’ actress brightened up the red carpet wearing an electric-blue Alexandra Vidal peplum dress with tri-colour Brian Atwood sandals with matching Rebecca Minkoff lizard embossed ‘Fling’ minaudiere and David Yurman jewels.

Naya Rivera: The ‘Glee’ actress is one of those hit-and-miss stars, but she scored a hit wearing this lovely pale yellow Moschino dress. The sleeveless fitted dress with a tulip-shaped skirt was styled with burgundy Tory Burch peep-toes and a matching Jimmy Choo clutch. Tumbling curls, diamond earrings and a pink lip shade finished Naya’s look.

The Us Weekly Hot Hollywood Style Event took place at the Greystone Manor Supperclub in West Hollywood, California, last night.

Busy Philipps: The ‘Cougar Town’ actress is frustratingly inconsistent on the red carpet. She wore an Opening Ceremony dress with a shirt collar, printed top, and striped skirt accented with an orange belt. I would’ve liked to have seen this dress on someone like Lily Collins or Emma Roberts as the look feels too busy – pardon the pun – for the blonde actress. A high ponytail and Alexander McQueen shoes completed her look.

Jennifer Morrison: The actress is almost unrecognisable with flaming red hair à la Florence Welch. She was the one exception, wearing a pretty Andrew Gn Spring 2012 strapless dress. Usually one to wear light summery hues, I’m guessing this dark, mysterious look was to work with her new persona.

Olivia Munn: The actress wore a simple black ASOS midi tank body-conscious dress. She accessorized with a Stella & Dot divine statement necklace and carried a Linea Pelle clutch. I loved the look until I got to the black Gucci ankle boots. Stumptifying.

Busy Phillip joined her BFF Michelle Williams on the red carpet at the 2012 Oscars, held in LA yesterday evening.

The actress wore a grey Dolce & Gabbana strapless lace dress.

I love Busy, but I wish she would stand out of Michelle’s shadow.

Busy can do better than wear a dress which Sharon Osbourne donned two years ago.

Her gorgeous face and stunning Irene Neuwirth One of a Kind 18k white gold earrings set with mixed shaped boulder opals save the look.

An additional pop of colour came via her fuchsia satin Brian Atwood ‘Goldy’ pumps.

Busy Phillips attended the 2012 SAG Awards with best friend, Michelle Williams.

The ‘Cougar Town’ actress wore a SIMONE by Katie Nehra blue-and-white-print dress.

The dress would be perfect for a casual afternoon in LA or a more laidback event like the ‘Independent Spirit Awards’, but it’s far too casual for a major awards ceremony.

A beachy side-braid and a long beaded Irene Neuwirth necklace adds to the ‘Hawaii vacation’ look.

You would never guess Busy is actually on the red carpet.
