Brit Marling In L'Wren Scott - 'The East' Brooklyn Screening

Brit Marling zigged and zagged on the red carpet of ‘The East’ screening at The Nitehawk Cinema in Brooklyn, New York.

The actress got graphic in a L’Wren Scott Spring 2013 headmistress dress. Strictly tailored in grey-and-white stripes, the look boldly broke the rules with a kapow flash of jagged black paneling.

Studded Valentino pumps matched the rebel spirit of the dress, not that I didn’t also appreciate the zing of the runway’s dual-tone shoes that mimicked the sharp yin-and-yang pattern of the dress.

An effortless, piece-y updo and light rose lip offset the hard edges.

Brit Marling In Prabal Gurung - 'The East' New York Premiere

Brit Marling attended the New York premiere of her latest movie ‘The East’ held at Sunshine Landmark in New York City on Monday evening.

The blonde actress oozed ‘It’ girl coolness, wearing a Prabal Gurung Fall 2013 dress.

Her white silk-crepe draped-waist long-sleeved dress featured an asymmetrical satin hem and cut-out shoulder accented with gold studs.

The look is simple, yet there are many elements to it as described above.

She manages to pull it off; the effortless styling is the key. However, I would’ve preferred a different pair of shoes to the Valentino studded pumps she went for.

Brit Marling In Viktor & Rolf - 'The Company You Keep' New York Premiere

Brit Marling attended ‘The Company You Keep’ New York premiere held at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City yesterday evening.

The classic beauty opted for an on-trend black-and-white look from Viktor & Rolf’s Spring 2013 collection.

Opting to keep the styling of her pleated, padded-shoulder dress very simple, she added Rupert Sanderson ‘Harting’ sandals, with her luscious golden waves swept to one side and a matte pink lip colour providing the finishing touches.

You know I don’t usually gush over simple, non-embellished looks; however, this simple minimalistic look is divinity personified.

Brit totally sells this look to me.

Brit Marling joined Salma Hayek on the red carpet at the 2nd Annual Gucci Award for Women In Cinema ceremony last week, held at the Hotel Cipriani during the 2012 Venice Film Festival.

The actress attended the event as a nominee for her role in ‘Another Earth’.

Brit lost out to Thelma Schoonmaker for the award on this occasion, but she looked gorgeous wearing a one-of-a-kind Gucci cream frock.

Her long-sleeve gown with billowy sleeves, a plunging neckline and a gold-and-silver crystal-embellished belt was styled with pale silver sandals and a leather silver box clutch, both by Gucci.

Opting to keep her beauty regime simple once again, she opted for a pink lip colour and wavy locks.

I prefer this look to her ‘The Iceman’ premiere look.

Brit Marling joined Winona Ryder on the red carpet yesterday evening at the Palazzo del Cinema for the Venice Film Festival premiere of ‘The Iceman’.

The blonde actress wore a Gucci Resort 2013 dress, which is our third look from this collection on the red carpet following Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson.

Her white strapless gown with an embroidered floral print on the skirt was styled with a deep red satin Gucci clutch and gold Gucci sandals.

Brit smoulders with kohl-rimmed eyes and a sultry glare with her long tresses left naturally wavy.

Do you like this chic, yet laid back look? Or is this more Independent Spirit Awards than Venice Film Festival?
