Brit Marling In Roksanda – 2015 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner

Brit Marling In Roksanda - 2015 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner

Brit Marling made a colorful turn on the red carpet of the 2015 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner last night (April 25) at the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC.

The actress wore a color-blocked, peplum Roksanda gown from the designer’s Spring 2015 collection. Black pumps with white-tipped toes continue the color-blocking trend, and are the perfect choice to accompany the vibrant dress.

Long, loose curls and barely-there makeup offer a subtle take on beauty.

I love all the points of visual interest that this dress offers, and that Brit manages to make such a bold look still look just restrained enough not to be over-the-top. A definitely win in my book!

Louis Vuitton Fall 2015 Front Row

Louis Vuitton Fall 2015 Front Row
The front row of the Louis Vuitton Fall 2015 show certainly faced no shortage of the usual LV-outfitted stars who all made Nicolas Ghesquière’s runway a must-attend during Paris Fashion Week in Paris, France.

Jennifer Connelly: Continuing to show off a new, softer side with her Louis Vuitton looks, the actress wore a feminine, printed velvet frock with a relaxed silhouette, cinched in for shaping by a skinny, brown leather belt. Gilded, gold-embellished shoes injected some of that more familiar edge to this ensemble, and I loved the pop of her berry lip for added oomph.

Fan Bingbing: Going for tough-luxe appeal, the Asian star teamed a gold-lined, black leather moto jacket with a sheer, white sweater and front-slit skirt. A range of accessories completed the look with a bit of ’80s-inspired excess, including statement earrings, round sunnies, rows of rings and a hand bracelet, a signature LV monogram shoulder bag, and platform cutout sandals—with blue nail polish, no less. She nailed an urban, street-style sensibility here.

Selena Gomez
: Playing with patterns, Selena took a sophisticated turn in this mixed print, prairie dress with a black accent belt. She completed the prim frock with a pair of black booties and a couldn’t-miss-it yellow handbag, which I actually loved as the youthful exclamation point to this pretty look.

2015 Art Of Elysium HEAVEN Gala Red Carpet Roundup

2015 Art Of Elysium HEAVEN Gala Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of the rest of the attendees for The Art of Elysium 8th Annual HEAVEN Gala held at Hangar 8 on Saturday (January 10) in Santa Monica, California.

Brit Marling: Usually I am a big fan of Brit’s red carpet look, but this mummification Rodarte Fall 2010 look is lost on me.

Angie Harmon: The colour, the draping, the fit…I’m left speechless by this breath-taking beautiful Marchesa gown.

Camila Alves: The ‘Plus One’ beauty of 2014 stood alone on this red carpet wearing a classic Dolce & Gabbana dress styled with Aquazurra heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Brit Marling In The Row – ‘The Better Angels’ LA Premiere

Brit Marling In The Row - 'The Better Angels' LA Premiere

Brit Marling attended the premiere of ‘The Better Angels’ held at DGA Theater on Monday (October 27) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress wore a richly warm cinnamon-hued The Row sheer organza shirt and duchess satin skirt from the Spring 2015 collection.

I’m surprised by how much I am warming to this colour; perhaps the shade has me longing for a hot cocoa with a cinnamon sprinkling, or it could be down to the effortless styling which included metallic brogues, a white snakeskin clutch and glossy lips.

Her sartorial style is very much suited to The Row. Do you agree?

Brit Marling In Proenza Schouler & Alexander McQueen – ‘The Keeping Room’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Brit Marling In Proenza Schouler & Alexander McQueen - 'The Keeping Room' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Brit Marling attended the premiere of ‘The Keeping Room’ at The Elgin on Monday (September 8) during the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival in Toronto, Canada.

Looking to the archives for sartorial inspiration, the actress cut a dramatic profile in an Alexander McQueen Spring 2007 ivory high-waist skirt, emblazoned with a striking black swallow print.

Simplifying the styling of the bird-and-branch piece from its theatrical and historical runway incarnation, she modernized this statement McQueen design with a Proenza Schouler on-trend black crop top.

Brian Atwood heels and a Lee Savage mini clutch accessorized the ensemble, yet it was her beauty approach that really provided the heightened sense of glamour with her glossy blonde locks and intense oxblood-red lip.
