Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Men222

There were plenty of fellas taking to the red carpet last night (July 21). Here is a quick roundup.

Daniel Radcliffe: The British actor attended ‘The F Word’ premiere held at Scotiabank Theatre in Toronto, Canada. He looked as sharp as ever, donning a blue-black suit from Saint Laurent, keeping the mood fairly relaxed by opting to go sans tie. Christian Louboutin ‘Trepeter’ flats rounded out his sleek look.

Chris Pratt: Joining his lovely wife Anna Faris and Zoe Saldana at the ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ LA premiere, Chris showed off his new sculptured body wearing a SAND Copenhagen grey suit. Styled with a light-pink shirt, navy textured tie, polka-dot pocket square and Chopard Mille Miglia rose-gold timepiece, the actor has never looked better.

Chadwick Boseman: The handsome actor wore a Giorgio Armani Made to Measure dark cobalt blue and burgundy glen plaid two-button notch lapel suit with a pale lavender shirt, navy and burgundy neck tie and a burgundy pocket square to the premiere of ‘Get On Up’ in New York City. This look made me swoon; from the colour combo to the impeccably tailored fit.

Serpentine Gallery Summer Party Menswear Roundup

Brioni co-hosted the annual Serpentine Gallery Summer Party held at The Serpentine Gallery on Tuesday (July 1) in London, England, so no prizes for guessing that all the boys were decked out in their wares from head to toe.

James Righton: The musician joined his wife Keira Knightley wearing a peaked-lapel black suit with a bow tie. I can’t say I’m 100% sold on the fit of the jacket here.

Pharrell Williams:
Giving his Vivienne Westwood mountain hats a much-needed break, the musician opted for a more modest hat to go along with his outfit. He wore a checked Brioni shawl-collared navy blazer with a simple white graphic tee and Levi jeans, styling the look with black sneakers with colourful prints and a selection of beaded necklaces.

Met Gala Men 1The dress code at the 2014 Met Ball, themed ‘Charles James: Beyond Fashion’ was “white tie,” which meant the guys were on their best glam behavior—at least most of them. Tuxes were spotted at every turn among the handsome hunks on the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 5). It takes a lot of sartorial strength to stand up to the rush of bustling, bold gowns that punctuate the evening, but let’s hear it for the men who made it work.

David Beckham: This hot topic was hotter than ever in a crisp, cool Ralph Lauren Black Label white shawl collar tuxedo jacket, black bow tie and black tuxedo pant. This is the way to rock formal wear, without a hit of fussiness. Swooning yet?

Douglas Booth
: The British actor took a regally traditional route, but put a refreshingly modern spin on his head-to-toe Burberry outing. He was positively dashing in a black tailcoat and dress trousers, worn with a white waistcoat, wing collar bib-front shirt, white bow tie and black loafers.

Andrew Garfield
: “The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ star looked sharp in silver, dressed in a Band of Outsiders metallic blazer with contrasting black shawl collar, paired with a white shirt, black bow tie and black tuxedo trousers. I love the touch of metal here.

Oscars menThe Oscars 2014 on Sunday (March 2), and the ensuing soirees, were a fashion feast for the senses, with high-wattage gowns swishing at every glam turn. But the men provided plenty of eye candy, as well, as they suited up in their sartorial best for the stylish super-event at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California followed by the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

Matthew McConaughey: The ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ Best Actor winner not only delivered a compelling acceptance speech, he also was convincingly decked out in a Dolce & Gabbana suit, Louboutin shoes and Chopard cufflinks. Always surprising us with his wild-card jackets, this one was a crispy ivory number, which he handsomely sported with a black vest, white button-down, black trousers and bowtie.

Bradley Cooper: Looking ever so dapper in a black Tom Ford tuxedo, paired with a black bow tie and Chopard cufflinks, the ‘American Hustle’ star and Best Supporting Actor nominee wore a side of handsome scruff with his classic ensemble

Pharrell Williams: Well, he wasn’t wearing the colossal hat, but the ‘Happy’ singer and nominee still turned heads with his cutoffs. The custom head-to-toe Lanvin look featured a black wool shawl-collar, one-button tuxedo with matching shorts, a white tuxedo shirt with ivory pearl buttons, a black satin bowtie and dark gray hand-polished calfskin derbies (sans socks, natch).  Yay or nay?

BAFTA men

Ruth Wilson and Angelina Jolie weren’t the only ones suiting up for the 2014 BAFTAs on Sunday (February 16) held at The Royal Opera House in London, England.

Eddie Redmayne: Our Best Dressed Man of 2013 was one of the presenters on the night. He didn’t let us down looking very dapper wearing a Gucci black one button peak lapel Marseille tuxedo with a white evening shirt, black silk bow tie and black patent leather lace ups. His beautiful plus one, Hannah Bagshawe, was also decked out in Gucci Pre-Fall 2013.

Brad Pitt: The actor wore a Valentino tuxedo styled with a black bow-tie. Frankly, I prefer Angelina’s look over his. I don’t get the collarless shirt.
