Leighton Meester was snapped the set of “Gossip Girl” this week which was filmed inside the Botanic Garden in Brooklyn, New York.

We’ve not fallen in love the Olivia Palmero hairstyle she has been sporting in other candids, but here she returns to her free-flowing wavy locks.

Looking every inch the Park Avenue princess – minus her now trademark flip flops between takes – Leighton wore an ombre Red Valentino Fall 2009 3/4 length dress with a floral appliqué detail decorating the bodice and skirt.

This look is more like the Blair we know and love.

Blake Lively was also on set looking cute in navy shorts and a white blouse.

Her look was complete carrying a Donna Karan Eldridge slouchy hobo bag and Christian Louboutin Lillian buckle pumps.

Her bag decorated with a  hanging chain, converts from tote to bag with side and bottom snap details.  The straps can be pulled through to create messenger style.

The Michael Kors Fall 2009 strapless dress with pockets on the hips, and a seaming detail across the bodice has been worn by Blake Lively and Angelina Jolie recently.

Back in June Blake opted for the hot pink wool version when she arrived at the CFDA Awards, pairing her dress with nude Christian Louboutin peep-toes.

I loved the colour on Blake. This is actually one of my favourite looks for her. She seems to be back to her best after being very disappointing on the red carpet in 2008.

If Angelina had worn the hot pink version I think I would have fainted from the shock, but she opted for the sexy leather version, pairing her dress with Dior heels.

Interestingly both women opted to use the pocket detail whilst posing on the red carpet, and both sported that ‘just got out of bed’ hair look.

Ange does look fabulous in this dress – despite the feeling of de ja vu – but Blake made the bigger impact by totally blowing me away, so she wins for me.

Serena van der Woodsen loves Herve Leger, but she loves Topshop too.

This week whilst walking to set with her cute pooch, Blake Lively wore a Topshop knitted stripe top, with black shorts and black Jimmy Choo Eliza suede sandals on the “Gossip Girl” set.

Blake not only wears Topshop on screen, but also both on the red carpet and in her everyday life.

She seems to particularly love their playsuits.

Leighton Meester was also spotted on set wearing a Topshop Twirl Crochet Top with a floral skirt and green open-toe ankle booties.

Somehow I can’t picture Blair shopping in Topshop, but I can picture her in the VIP room being pampered by their Style Advisors.

You all may groan “Not another Herve Leger dress” when you see them on the red carpet, but it seems like Blake Lively’s character Serena van der Woodsen can’t get enough of the bandage dresses and skirts.

Yesterday Blake Lively made her way to set wearing another Herve Leger dress.

This time it was a silver embellished dress from the Fall 2009 collection with a criss cross detail across the body and neckline.

I’ve gotta say the dress looks amazing on her, but I love her gold heels even more.

Blake has also been spotted wearing a maroon dress and grey skirt for season 3, whilst last season she wore a sexy grey cut-out Herve Leger dress.

Valentino appears to be the bag of choice for the stars on “Gossip Girl”.

Last season Michelle Trachtenberg aka Georgina Sparks was seen carrying a Valentino Histoire Patent Tote and Blake Lively carried a Valentino petale bag.

In season 3 we will see Blake Lively and newest member of the cast Hilary Duff carrying Valentino bags.

Blake was seen on set this week carrying a sequin and pearl Valentino ‘Spotlight’ tote on-set whilst wearing a Herve Leger grey skirt, grey top, black cardigan and ruby beads.

Hilary carried a tan Valentino Petale hobo, which is quite popular with stars like Jennifer Lopez and Heidi Montag.

How do you feel about Hilary joining the cast?

My sister is not happy. She says that if Mischa Barton or Lindsay Lohan join the cast she will officially boycott the show.

Blake was also spotted leaving her trailer on the set of “Gossip Girl” juggling her dog a drink, and a pink doggy bed whilst wearing a Topshop kaftan liberty print dress, ballet flats and an Alexander Wang Max fanny pack.

Kerry Washington was a picture of perfection as she paired her Malandrino Spring 2009 nude top, decorated with a multi chain detail draping from the neckline, with a slate grey skirt.

She accessorized her look with a beautiful quilted clutch and metallic heels.

I would’ve never thought grey and nude would work so well together.

Socialite Helen Lee Schifter opted for a more casual look pairing a plaid Marc Jacobs Spring 2009 tunic top with denim shorts.

Her tunic is accented with a striped lurex belt from the same collection.

I really love this look.  I wish more stars had been brave enough to experiment with this collection.

Kelly Ripa wore a super cute paisley print Etro Spring 2009 maxi dress for this occasion.  Just adding a few bangles and flip flops to complete her look.

Blake Lively has said on many occasions that she doesn’t have a stylist, and on this evidence I do believe her.

No stylist would pair a Spring time striped shirt and white skirt with burgundy pumps.

From the ankles up this is a great look, but girlfriend really needs to practice a more red carpet poses in the mirror.

Spotting the looks on the set of Gossip Girl is one of my favourite things to do right now.

The girls always look great starting with Blake Lively as Serena van der Woodsen wearing a Matthew Williamson beaded batwing dress with electric blue heels.

I love this dress with it’s asymmetrical zip on front, draped cut-out back plus a pencil skirt with pouch pockets at front.

The dress was worn with electric blue Zara heels, and she also carried a green studded Treesje Jovi cross-body bag.

Her second look was a cute Topshop Hawaiian playsuit (£45/$90).

I love the floral playsuit, the messy hair, but I hate the black heels. Gladiator flats would have looked so much better.
